The interior was beautiful and the bed with the cushions were very comfortable. The suite was also pretty quiet, so I could rest very well. The location was very good and only like 10 minutes away by foot from most of the touristic spots. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and made our stay perfect. I would definitely book this hotel again.

Staff were all exceedingly helpful, breakfast was plentiful in a lovely room & lots of choices, tho a few things were absent, like the bacon on last morning. But you would never go hungry ! Divine cakes! Excellent coffee. Caters for gluten free & has almond milk too. Very thoughtful. Everywhere was very clean & comfy, extra pillows, blackout blinds that work ! plenty of towels ,usual bathroom stuff, very welcome kettle & interesting selection of tea bags! We enjoyed our chill out in the library area when we could not walk any more ! Plenty of info about what to see. Loan umbrellas came in handy too. Pretty little courtyard garden. An excellent location for the centre, surprisingly quiet.

Was a bit put off when taxi dropped us, the road outside is not as I expected from photo ! Fine when you are inside. A little disappointed with size of room, we had the tiniest of balconies . But it is an old character property, beautifully modernised. The hotel ran out of milk capsules for the room on the first night, when asked, they provided fresh, so all good !

The extensive breakfast buffet was delicious (especially loved the mini-zucchini, perfectly cooked eggs and diverse parma ham, salumi selections). Our rooms were comfortable and the hotel staff super friendly, accommodating, helpful. We liked the location -- quanitly situated off the beaten path, a little away from the touristy center, but near it -- we fell in love with the Salumeria La Bottega nearby, and Vagh in Ufezzi restaurant run by the most charming husband-wife team also nearby. The hotel's rooftop patio was a perfect place to read and relax during the day when no one else is there, as well as in the more lively evenings for drinks and snacks. This hotel is an idyllic boutique gem!

The air conditioner control was not easy to understand -- but the front desk staff was helpful and it worked fine after I figured it out.

I loved this hotel. It’s located in a beautiful quiet quarter of the old city but still only 5-7 min walk to all you want to see. The room was well equipped with a lovely balcony and table with view over the rooftops. Also I think they have one of the best buffet breakfasts I have had on this trip. I could not recommend Hotel Touring high enough. Don’t hesitate to book.

Despite my very positive review, there was one disappointing experience you should be aware of. They have a lovely roof top bar which I was grateful for as I arrived late and could get a drink and something to eat. However when I paid my bill on leaving the rooftop bar had charged me €15 for 1 x glass of wine. When I questioned this I was told the “first glass is €15 and all subsequent glasses €8. This is effectively a charge to use their roof top bar. To put this into perspective, you can “easily” buy a glass of wine in the Quadrilatero (heart of tourist area) for €4.5. - €5.5, so even €8 is very expensive. Bottom line is I felt taken advantage of and it left a poor taste in my mouth.

We stayed for a week and it’s an excellent hotel. Given that it’s in the old part of town, it’s central but because it’s not on a main road it’s actually quite quiet. The breakfasts really are excellent. I wasn’t sure about the bed but it proved comfortable. The roof garden is an added bonus. It’s really nice up there. Easy to get around Bologna, but it is a good 25 mins walk from the station. But then again, if it were a shorter distance the location would be much noisier.

We loved our stay at Hotel Touring! The location was perfect - just a couple minutes walk from the city central and great food, shopping and sights. The hotel is on a very quiet side street. We had a rental car and had prearranged parking with the hotel which was close by and easy to get to. The staff was outstanding- everyone we met was friendly and helpful. We were offered an upgrade when we checked in which we took and enjoyed a room with a terrace. It was pretty hot during our visit so we didn’t visit the rooftop bar but sat out on our terrace when the sun went down. It was lovely. The breakfast was great! Bountiful selection. We would definitely recommend Hotel Touring and look forward to visiting again!

Pre-arrival communication did not carry through to agreed room at check-in. Only after questioning did staff look through earlier notes re room request. Booking.com website showed some photos of room assets that would incur additional cost - this was not advised when booking so advertising was misleading. Rooftop terrace overpriced and unfriendly, then double charged for this - luckily I picked this up at checkout and after staff checking further, a refund was given. Terrace would have been nicer if more casual to allow hotel guests to meet and chat.

This was a very last minute booking after our original hotel (Mercure) expected us to surrender our car keys in order to use their private parking which we did not feel comfortable doing. Especially as we had a rental car. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel and was DEFINITELY the right choice to switch. The parking is secure and right next to the hotel so was perfect. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They seemed to switch shifts often so got to meet a good few of them over the 24 hrs we stayed. The suite we had a wonderful. So much space for just 2 of us. Incredibly clean, well organised room (even the smaller details of plug sockets and tables in all the right places). A good bathroom with an excellent shower. We also appreciated the Salvatore Ferrgano toileries. Breakfast could be improved but lots of options and attentive staff. A lovely short stroll to the main piazza and sights/shopping and on a quiet street so no issues there either.
