We received a very warm welcome every day by staff, either at breakfast or on reception. Extremely comfortable room, always cleaned to a very high standard. Bathroom shower superb! Breakfast quality was as good as any hotel we have ever stayed in, for example the scrambled eggs and herby tomatoes were delicious! The hotel was very handily located, as we were on foot. We had some fantastic restaurant recommendations from staff at front desk which served us well. Thanks for the little kettle and fridge in the room.

I thought the jacuzzi at 25€ each for less than an hour was not good pricing strategy, and think the same of the minimum 15€ pp bar spend on the terrace. This struck us as a slightly odd pricing strategy. In future, please make glasses available instead of cardboard cups which are covered in plastic- you need to change this.

Super friendly staff. Breakfast is good, many options! Room is pleasant with a nice shower, good bed and a little balcony if you want to sit outside for a moment. The rooftop bar is nice, cozy atmosphere and great view over the city. The location of the hotel is very convenient, the city centre is on a short walking distance.

Some of the details, the room needs a bit of maintenance. For example the wood of the door post is rotting on the bottom side. Also the cover of the lamp had a huge stain on it. Maybe coffee or otherwise waterdamage. Fixing / replacing these kind of things will make the room even better. Price is a bit on the high side. Maybe because I visited in the high season.

The interior was beautiful and the bed with the cushions were very comfortable. The suite was also pretty quiet, so I could rest very well. The location was very good and only like 10 minutes away by foot from most of the touristic spots. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and made our stay perfect. I would definitely book this hotel again.

The Hotel Touring was and excellent place to stay. The room was really comfy with everything you would need and a very large shower. The location was outstanding in a quiet backwater yet a 2 min walk from San Domenico and a 5/10 min stroll to Piazza Maggiore. This gave you the choice of local Trattoria's or the city centre/ old town for dinner. The hotel has a roof terrace on the 5th floor with beautiful views across the city which was lovely. The breakfast was amazing with great choice incl fresh salmon, hot and cold options and was self-serve. The staff were exceptional, very friendly and efficient. This would be my go to place in Bologna.

Staff were all exceedingly helpful, breakfast was plentiful in a lovely room & lots of choices, tho a few things were absent, like the bacon on last morning. But you would never go hungry ! Divine cakes! Excellent coffee. Caters for gluten free & has almond milk too. Very thoughtful. Everywhere was very clean & comfy, extra pillows, blackout blinds that work ! plenty of towels ,usual bathroom stuff, very welcome kettle & interesting selection of tea bags! We enjoyed our chill out in the library area when we could not walk any more ! Plenty of info about what to see. Loan umbrellas came in handy too. Pretty little courtyard garden. An excellent location for the centre, surprisingly quiet.

Was a bit put off when taxi dropped us, the road outside is not as I expected from photo ! Fine when you are inside. A little disappointed with size of room, we had the tiniest of balconies . But it is an old character property, beautifully modernised. The hotel ran out of milk capsules for the room on the first night, when asked, they provided fresh, so all good !

The extensive breakfast buffet was delicious (especially loved the mini-zucchini, perfectly cooked eggs and diverse parma ham, salumi selections). Our rooms were comfortable and the hotel staff super friendly, accommodating, helpful. We liked the location -- quanitly situated off the beaten path, a little away from the touristy center, but near it -- we fell in love with the Salumeria La Bottega nearby, and Vagh in Ufezzi restaurant run by the most charming husband-wife team also nearby. The hotel's rooftop patio was a perfect place to read and relax during the day when no one else is there, as well as in the more lively evenings for drinks and snacks. This hotel is an idyllic boutique gem!

The air conditioner control was not easy to understand -- but the front desk staff was helpful and it worked fine after I figured it out.

I loved this hotel. It’s located in a beautiful quiet quarter of the old city but still only 5-7 min walk to all you want to see. The room was well equipped with a lovely balcony and table with view over the rooftops. Also I think they have one of the best buffet breakfasts I have had on this trip. I could not recommend Hotel Touring high enough. Don’t hesitate to book.

Despite my very positive review, there was one disappointing experience you should be aware of. They have a lovely roof top bar which I was grateful for as I arrived late and could get a drink and something to eat. However when I paid my bill on leaving the rooftop bar had charged me €15 for 1 x glass of wine. When I questioned this I was told the “first glass is €15 and all subsequent glasses €8. This is effectively a charge to use their roof top bar. To put this into perspective, you can “easily” buy a glass of wine in the Quadrilatero (heart of tourist area) for €4.5. - €5.5, so even €8 is very expensive. Bottom line is I felt taken advantage of and it left a poor taste in my mouth.
