I really liked the charm of the place, from the lift to the little outdoor patio to the décor in the room. Our host, Augustino was a gem! He always had fun stories to share and loved making everyone coffee! We were greeted with a big bowl of fresh fruit upon arrival and a cheerful hello! He was always there if we needed him, for directions, call a cab, dinner suggestions or good books to read. The location was convenient to the old town area and two markets are within a 1-2 minute walk. I would definitely recommend staying here, if it's available!!

We really loved the location, it was very close to the city center. The accommodation was beautiful and comfortable. The owner was very kind and friendly, and prepared us breakfast along with excellent coffee. Additionally, for New Year's Eve, he offered us champagne. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it!

It was a bit cold with the stone floor. So the guests need to remember elates socks in fall.

great location --is an older facility but what isn't in a 12th century city-- had two rooms and limited views-- quiet and comfortable and good access with elevator-- eating establishments near by and central city-- breakfast was okay , coffee good-- Augustino is a great host with valuable information and speaks english-- good suggestions on what to do-- attentive... water and wine was provided / plenty of choices of fruit

breakfast could use more variety-- as was same every day-- stayed 4 nights-- perhaps adding choices of cereals not just crossants every morning --rolls for meat / cheese morning sandwich was hard

My wife and I travel Europe frequently. Our host Augustino was the most accommodating and gracious host we've ever had the pleasure of knowing. He served delicious food and provided tasty recommendations on restaurants. He also helped with taxis and transfers. We watched as he helped us and other guests with command of numerous languages while being warm and attentive. The accommodations are steeped in history with charm and character not always accessible in the modern world. Lots of history and character. Augustino is a national treasure, as is his establishment.

It is an old apartment which is well furnished. Our room was large, and everything worked. The area is quiet and an easy walk to the centre. Breakfast was good, and Agostino was charming and very helpful.

The whole property needs maintenance and a good tidy up as there is a lot of clutter which makes it seem smaller than it is.

Excellent location in an old and very interesting building. Property is just a short walk from the historical centre. The room and bathroom are spotless. Comfortable bed and a lovely breakfast each morning made us feel at home. Agostino is an excellent host. He takes a genuine interest in all his guests and he is so helpful and accommodating. From a woman’s point of view, I would declutter a little but it is still such a charming property.

I have just had the pleasure of staying for a week at the Antica Residenza D'Azeglio. Agostina is the perfect host. He is both interesting and interested in all of his guests. I really enjoyed our conversations at breakfast. He is very candid in advising on the places to see and not to bother with in the region. I appreciated his advice whilst arranging my visits. The room was most comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are nice touches like the bottle of wine and fruit bowl that is replenished daily. You are in the perfect location for all of the sights of Bologna. Every place that you need to see is within walking distance. However, although you are right by the centre, the accommodation is on a very quiet street. The station is a twenty minute walk away and the gateway to the rest of this fascinating region. I visited Parma, Modena, Ravenna and Ferrara during this trip. This is why I highly recommend a week in this beautiful region. I can think of no better place to stay in the city than the Antica Residenza D'Azeglio with Agostino as your host. Thank you so much for an amazing stay!

Agostino was a great host and was a wealth of information with things to see and do and helped us enormously. The breakfast was excellent and the location is great, only about a 5 minute walk to the central piazza. The rooms are full of charm and well appointed. Would definitely recommend this B and B. The other guests during our stay were all repeat and loyal customers and also spoke highly of Agostino and this accommodation. Hopefully we will return to Bologna in the future.

Great location. Very helpful host. Lovely old building. Quirky, comfortable, clean. A proper B&B so commual breakfasts, with plenty of fresh coffee. Our host was knowledgeable about his city - helped with luggage and parking and gave suggestions for eateries. Bologna is lovely!

The aircon in our room was via a machine and it was very loud. Not sure why this was - the inbuilt aircon may have been broken. But only there two nights and coped perfectly well!
