This is very serene, quiet, and peaceful place. Isabella and the girls that attend to La Rocca were very nice and welcoming. La Rocca is near the top of the town, and there is a slight breeze. It was comfortable with the windows open all day…in July!! The breakfast was normal and appropriate. The small town of Carmignano was also inviting. Everyone was polite. The gelato and dinner was actually better and cheaper in this town than in Firenze. The best part was the people here. Not many tourists, everyone knows everyone here.

To travel to the city, you have to take the bus, which has limited hours compared to the trains. It was easier to drive.

The breakfast is seved in a grand room, great views to the hills and valleys. I enjoyed the fresh rustic bread with all kinds of jams, and took it outdoors to enjoy the views. The coffee, was pleasant, but I prefer my coffee strong. A few cereal offerings and one day fresh melon, another day a home baked cake.

OK, I was travelling solo and without a car. The 210 bus was a nightmare, buses not showing up, and I was stuck really. Fortunately I was helped out a couple of times, or I wouldn't have seen much at all, or made it to the airport. The beautiful path leading to the B&B is very steep, so I was climbing up 3 times a day. I wouldn't recommend visiting without a car. There were record high temperatures, so this was not good. Just being there was great though.

First and foremost, Isabella! What a kind and thoughtful host she is! The location of the property is ideally situated. Close to La Rocca, where you can appreciate a breathtaking view of the Tuscan countryside. We liked the history of the house and the antique decor of our room. It used to be an ancient monastery and you can still see a few signs from that time. Our private bathroom was recently renovated. A must do if you stay a couple of nights, is the private dinner experience in the tour of the house. The chef is Isabelle herself, and we’ve had the most wonderful 360 view over the Tuscan sunset while enjoying one of the best pasta dishes! Very reasonably priced given the authentic experience. It was wonderful perfect weekends. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Isabella is a wonderful owner, she lives with her daughter in another part of the house. It is difficult for them to look after such a big house together but they do a great job! Breakfast was ok for me 🙂 The house is the same as it was 500 years ago, the place is so beautiful. Thanks Isabella for all❤️

Little far away from Florence, but you can easily get to Florence by bus 213

Very nice country house near Florence (Firenze). It has an excellent panorama view to the surrounding cities. The owner speaks several languages, she is very helpful. If you like old houses and you want to feel the past around you, that's the best place for your stay. It's easy to find in the village. Florence is 30 minutes by car.

Isabella cooked us an anniversary meal and served us in the tower. This was the absolute BEST ITALIAN FOOD we have ever had!!! She went way over and beyond to make it very very special for us. We are still amazed!!! If you want family cooked recipes of excellent Italian food, Isabella is your lady!!!! So so sweet!!!

That we could t stay longer;(;(:( She even gives cooking classes which we would have loved to attend but we didn't have enough time due to the lovely anniversary dinner she prepared for us. She even went into town to buy us our favorite wine to go with dinner;):):) She had candles lit up in the tower to make it romantic for us!!! amazing

Breakfast was ok but eggs and sliced ham etc was extra. Owner was great and proud of the family history attached to the property newly renovated bathroom was great

Perhaps in some ways a little too “rustic”

Super warm welcome by the owners, breakfast above expectations, great tuscan house (old, but with great atmosphere), beautiful surrounding, breathtaking view, we'll definitely be back :)

Just little comment: bathroom, though private, was not connected directly with the room, but had to be reached through common, dinning room.

The house and the owners are equally as amaizing and 100x more so than I expected when we booked this trip! The location is absolutely wonderful with a great view. The little town of Carmignano has a few shops and restaurants that we enjoyed and our hosts were very helpful by recommending places to visit while there, as well as navigating the public transport. The breakfast service was excellently planned and we enjoyed that we could have it at any time during the morning, as early or as late as we wanted and there was always enough food and variety on the table. The room, the bathroom (that we shared with another room) and common areas were all very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent if you want to enjoy Tuscan countryside.

The only issue we had during our trip had nothing to do with the property itself and just with the public transport you have to take to get there/ if you want to explore the area, Florence for example. It's something to think about if that's your plan but honestly next time I'm there I'd rather stay and enjoy Carmignano alone for a few days!

The owners were so amazing. They helped me with everything and I felt so calm. The place is dated but it’s a charm of this old houses. There was a tea and coffee and nice breakfast. My room was clean and spacious. The view is stunning!
