The location is stunning, which is why we stayed here for the third time. The room was beyond amazing: spacious, perfectly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff at reception were very kind and helpful, and the wine tasting was fantastic, the guide was truly passionate.

The restaurant was disappointing this time. The staff seemed like they really didn’t feel like working, service was very slow, and no one asked if we wanted dessert. When we asked ourselves, the kitchen had already closed. They were actually rude. A real shame for such a beautiful place.

Excellent location in beautiful Tuscany with fabulous views. Great very big outdoor pool. Really good breakfast with a large selection. Super Spa with the nicest facilities. First class staff in all restaurants, bars, reception and spa really nice and friendly. Had a great complimentary tour of the Medici Grand villa next doors.

Be aware that the road to the hotel from the south is closed during week days. Our cab driver did not know this so he left us to walk the 2,5 km uphill! Would have been 10-15 km detour to go back and around to reach the hotel from the other road. This is obviously not the hotels responsibility but good to know if you are getting a taxi from Florence airport.

Arriving in Florence without any hotel reservation, we stumbled onto this place out of shear necessity. Booked in for a single night, but loved it and stayed an extra couple nights. Clean comfy rooms, excellent bed and linens, friendly staff and a great little little hilltop village just a short walk across the grounds where you can grab a killer bottle of wine and charcuterie. I think they have a couple of pretty good restaurants in the village as well, but we just had some wine, cheese, and marveled at the views. Perfect place if you have a rental car and want to strike out on day trips, and get back to a quiet evening. As mentioned, we stumbled onto this place and loved it. Would have been even better with some better weather, as the huge pool looked pretty inviting. This is a place that you could stay for a whole week or more and unwind.

The breakfast buffet was OK at best. I'm not a big breakfast guys, so a quick snack was fine.

We travelled with a baby that can only be in the pram. Some rooms are very difficult to access with steep slopes and stairs in all directions. Furthermore the breakfast for the people staying at « il borgo » is not on location but 500m away. There is a shuttle service but no baby seat on it…

Great breakfasts - good quality and healthy food. Location was ok for us as we had a car - we've been travelling around. However with no car the location might not be very comfortable. There is a small "village" in which you can find mainly restaurants (which are rather poor quality). So you need to have a car - other way you will be staying only at the hotel.

Poor quality restaurants in the village - next to the hotel (however this is not the fault of the hotel). In general I reccomend eating in the hotel restaurants (not other). The main swimming pool was closed for 2 days due to wedding that took place in the main building - it was closed for other guests not for wedding guests. In my opinion such situation should not happen for two days - one day is maximum. Taking into consideration the fact that we've been there for 7 days. High prices in the hotel restaurants.

Our borgo was set in a truly beautiful location. The walk to the main hotel and pool area was stunning. The borgo itself was lovely. The staff members were very friendly, courteous and helpful.

We had a couple of issues with appliances but everything was fixed promptly.

We loved the pool and the view and the two bedroom apartment. But we didn’t like that it was so far from the pool and restaurant.

Service at the pool bar was closed earlier than posted and trying to get a drink and a snack was very hard. Also the service at our dinner at the restaurant was very slow. I’m thinking they were understaffed.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Location is great if you're looking for a calm place outside Florence. About one hour drive from Florence city center. Nice swimming pool area as well. Continental breakfast with two vegan options (vegan croissant and a vegan cake).

Shower small and a bit dated. The spa opens only at 10 am, which is a bit late if you still want to use the day for visiting.

just the place a bit isolated. not any shop in village . it is romantic yes but a bit too peaceful life surrounding. Also I may add even if staff is kind in restaurant, they are a bit over the top and pushy, when choice of dishes is very scarce, pricy as well and food is not special at all as they pretend...good yes but not more.

A very nice venue though a little confusing with all buildings.

We didn't stay where we thought we would (we have been there before) because of the new rooms in the little village. A little unclear when we booked. It was hard to get information about which of the pools were open.
