This is a wonderful slice of Italian Heaven. It was our second stay at this B&B but the first with the new team running it. We could not have been more pleased with the hospitality and guidance provided to us by Patrick and Anna. Wonderful people, generous with their time and knowledge. Without them the trip would not have been nearly as joyful or stress free. The facilities were always clean. The staff, a gardener and a housekeeper were friendly and always greeted us with a smile and a big Buongiorno! I highly recommend Casa Portagioia to anyone seeking that quintessential Italian (Tuscan) vacation.

Not a thing

A family owned place that have accommodation and vineyards. The couple there are not only nice and service oriented but help with everything that relates to the stay, from recommendations, tips and dinner reservations to pointing out where it's best to go and when. This is irreplaceable. In addition to that, the property is beautiful (pictures can't grasp that), and maintained well. Loved the pool!

Mind that getting there is on a country side road so might take 10-15 minutes to get to the closest town and to other destinations from there. It hasn't affected our trip but might be less comfortable for some people.

Have a basic offer of some meals al night

we had a great relaxing stay! The room is spacious and well decorated with an amazing view. locations is great 20 minute drive from 2 beautiful towns. the grounds are amazing: olive trees, vineyard, pool on a hill and an amazing drive. Breakfast is great, fresh pastries with lots of fresh fruits, cheese and meats. Patryk and his wife are very friendly and help you out wherever they can. Daily housekeeping is great and not something we were expecting. Seen a few complaints about the wifi, we did not have any issue, we work remote and had great connections the whole time. would definitely stay here again!

There needs to be a kettle and tea/ coffee provided in every room. The pool area was beautiful but the sun loungers could do with a bit of an update, expect better quality loungers. The pool was out of action for the first few days of our stay because of a storm, Patryk did a great job of getting it fixed but still meant we couldn’t use it for the first few days.

Delicious breakfast with meats,cheeses,fruit,yoghurts, cereals and the most fab croissants 🥐 super welcome and the most congenial and helpful host. We stayed an extra night and spent the day by the pool. Lovely surroundings and gardens. Thank you.

Casa Portagioia is a gem. It's a bit off the beaten path but if you are looking for relaxing days at the pool surrounded by flowers and evenings with a glass of wine under the Tuscan sky - that's your place. Breakfasts are simple but with great quality local products, fresh fruits and delicious croissants. Coffee to die for. Couple running the place is simply amazing, super friendly, always open to recommend local sights, book a nearby restaurant or just to have a chat about all and nothing. We will be coming back.
