Beautifully renovated 300 year-old building with stone and wood. It's in an old town area which has a lot of character but not a lot of parking. Megan and Raphael were very sweet and welcoming hosts and served up a delicious breakfast spread each morning and even had laundry service available. We were in unit number six which is upstairs and has the beautiful bathtub set in the rock wall but it is a very small bathtub. We enjoyed the patio which had magnificent 360° views above the rooftops. It's a very quiet area and within easy walking distance to the downtown area. The unit/building has some challenging quirks but what a memorable and wonderful stay!

The renovation has been beautifully done, retaining original features with modern facilities. It’s a quirky, cosy and creative space. The owners were a lovely couple who were approachable and friendly; giving us a lift to and from the ski lift morning and afternoon at whatever time suited us. Breakfast was focused on using great produce - it was delicious!

Ideal for grown up children and adults - obviously due to the nature of the old building, it has a few steps to each floor including the attic room /suite which was stunning! Location is out of Courmayeur town but a brisk and pleasant 10 min walk gets you to the edge of town plus the free town bus stops just a couple of minutes down the hill.

We loved everything ! The hosts were excellent , our room with a view was cosy , warm and rustic . Just what we wanted . Our balcony was an added treat . The most relaxing room , fabulous breakfast and incredible old house refurbished beautifully . The area of Le Saxe was so traditional and totally unspoilt . We would highly recommend this accommodation and especially room 6 ( unless you are very tall or have mobility issues ) ..... Amazing !

Oh my. This place exceeded expectations. It’s a beautiful home with stone walls snd wood beams. Full of character. It appears to have been recently restored and sympathetically retains its old world charm. And I had the best welcome - I was hot after walking with a heavy rucksack and the friendly receptionist immediately poured me a glass of iced water without me even asking.

Was a little hard to find down the narrow maze of streets.

The most amazing place we have been during our tmb trek. A unique room in an amazingly restored building, located in Saxe which is one of courmyour's five surrounding villages. The host supper nice, welcomed us warmly, offered his help with deciding on a varient we wished to do and escorted us to the beginning of the trail the next morning. Breakfast was reach and excellent. We recommend this place with all our 🩷

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in - I almost don’t want to write this review and keep it our secret! Perfect location, team, and amenities. Really made our weekend getaway to the mountains beyond perfect. Location: In a very quiet hamlet to the west of ‘central’ Courmayer, perfectly located for those wanting a relaxing and quiet area (not that Courmayer is too wild!) Just a short and easy walk into the main town, and with some lovely restaurants even closer. Free parking very nearby. Facilities: Locate in a beautiful house, the rooms are immaculate and beautifully designed, blending modern comforts with rustic charm. Felt like we were staying in our own country chalet. Our room had a fantastic balcony with incredible views of the surrounding mountains, perfect for a morning coffee. The loo and bath were perfect, and plenty of clever storage space for kit. On-call transfers to and from the lift was brilliant too, especially for later starts. Breakfast: The best I’ve had in the mountains! Local delicacies, both savoury and sweet, and the team were kind enough to bring us a selection in our room each morning to enjoy with the amazing view! Staff: Everyone was fantastic, super friendly and helpful, they bent over backwards to make our stay perfect with transfers, advice on where to visit, guidance on transport, everything. Lovely people!

This is probably the most charming hotel I've ever stayed at! It's in a historic building in La Saxe, which is about a 15-20 minute walk away from the chaotic tourist center of Courmayeur. We had 2 rooms, both so different and fun! One of them had a rooftop terrace that overlooked the town and mountains and was the most perfect place to hang out. This hotel manages to feel really quiet and historic, while still being really clean and chic. The included breakfast was fantastic. We had such a wonderful stay!!

It's slightly outside of the main town area, but for us that was a plus as it was so quiet and also the La Saxe area is gorgeous.

Staff went above and beyond to make sure I knew about the location, and even helped me navigate the next stage of the TMB. My room was quaint and perfect for one. The shower was incredible. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. Walkable to central town, it was all enjoyable!

The staff here is outstanding - so knowledgable for hiking and adventure in the area! They also suggested restuarants and places for aperitivos in Courmayeur. They offered to do our laundry, air out our tent and backpacks (we stopped here for a rest day while hiking the TMB), pack us a breakfast to go, and were available via Whatsapp 24/7. Truly outstanding service. The room was incredible (suite with a Mountain View) with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. So much natural light came in the sky windows. The bathroom was also luxurious - very rustic, yet modern and so clean! I am recommending this place to everyone I know! It's about a 10 minute walk to downtown Courmayeur and the staff there will give you a map and tell you exactly what route to take.

It was simply extraordinary in all ways ! Beautifully restored old building, great use of space, full of character. Wonderful location, quiet and peaceful. Extensive breakfast, super shuttle service to the lifts and lovely hosts.

It misses a ski and boot room. We were able to leave our boots in the entry but I guess when it is very busy, this becomes a bit tight as a space.
