From the moment we entered the place we felt the special magic of it. The beautiful boutique wooden house, the very warm welcoming feeling, the pleasent atmosphere in the house and the lovely garden outside, the breathtaking mountain views all around, the sound of the streaming water from the river near by, the amazing beautiful and romantic room, the family home made delicious breakfast, and the attention to every detail just to make sure we have everything we need during our stay... We had an amazing time at L'Abri des Amis, and will be very happy to come back again next time. Thank you for a great vacation!

Beautiful room, romantic and perfect ski break atmosphere. The hotel bedroom has character and comfort, whilst being clean and modern with excellent, hot, showers. Barbara and her team go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Breakfast was just right with cereals, some fruit and yoghurt, croissants and cakes with freshly made coffee. The shuttle to the slopes took just a few minutes and collection from the ski hire shop every evening was speedy! …. Our skis and boots were kept overnight in the warm boot room. Having a self check in system means a late night arrival is easy. Parking was available next to the hotel. We enjoyed the very easy 15 minute walk into the town every evening. Good for our daily step count and to enjoy the evening air. Courmayeur town has a beautiful selection of shops, bars and restaurants and Barbara will help advise or book these for you. It is worth booking as they do get busy. Our favourite was Du Tunnel for pizza and Les Jorasses for gourmet. Courmayeur is a great intermediate level resort, with wide and well connected slopes. On the mountains we enjoyed sunny lunches outside at La Zerotta, Bombardinos and custard donuts at Chez Crouz, the wonderful and entertaining hospitality of the ladies who run Chiecco …best fillet steak and polenta ever… with Barolo and Montalcino wines ….and the wonderful Chateau Branlant fabulous beef ragú or veal schnitzel and fries. All in all a culinary whirlwind, super skiing and a delightful hotel made this the perfect ski mini break to celebrate a one year anniversary for myself and my partner.

It would have been good to have the water bottles, which were provided on day one, refreshed every day. A little mini bar or some wine in the room would also have been nice. Would have happily paid for some extras here.

What a lovely family run this bed and breakfast, and they are rightly proud of it.They could not have been more helpful or obliging, especially with booking restaurants and the shuttle service to the gondola each day. The breakfast was also excellent each day.

It’s a little walk into the town, but we soon got used to it, and actually enjoyed the stroll and fresh air.

The owner, Barbara, was fabulous and super responsive! The breakfast was completely amazing - espresso made to order, different breakfast cakes, fresh juice (you MUST try the apple - it tastes like an apple Jolly Rancher!), fruit, you name it! The hotel was also small and close to a helpful bus stop to go into the city center or to get to the Tour du Mont Blanc trail.

The location isn't in the city center, but had we figured out the bus a little earlier, this wouldn't have been a problem at all. We started a part of the TMB hike from the hotel and going through the La Saxe neighborhood was great!

Such a lovely hotel - family run, homely and very welcoming. Beautiful wooden room with plenty of space for two. Great breakfasts and so also so convenient to be dropped by car to the ski lift and collected whenever you need. An easy 10 minute walk into centre of Courmayeur too!

Would love a kettle/ coffee machine and mini fridge in the room.

The property was lovely. The rooms were very comfortable. The beds were great. The view from our window balcony was such a lovely bonus. Best of all was the breakfast. Barbara and her husband were attentive and helpful. We were hiking the TMB and the location was perfect; close to the tram down to Dolonne-La, close to the center of town and very neat the TMB trail. We highly recommend L’Abi des Ami’s.

Abri des Amis isa beautifully run family business. Where hospitality,attention to detail and comfort of the guests is paramount. It’s one of the loveliest places we’ve stayed. It’s a 15 minute walk from the center of town , lots of parking and their shuttle bus to the lifts is incredibly efficient for drop off and pick up.

The perfect trifecta of beautiful accommodations, superior service and and excellent location. The room, Chetif, was like the rest of the place, a well balanced combination of clean rustic wood and modern materials. Barbara, the owner and manager, has a good eye for design and it shows. She is also a wonderful and helpful host. The breakfasts offer some of the best pies and cakes ever. Staying here elevated out experience at beautiful Courmayeur..

We booked this trip with short notice so we feel extremely fortunate to have been able to stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast. We had a 2 bed apartment which was extremely comfortable for the 4 of us. The attention to detail was amazing and the decor was beautiful. Breakfast was great - especially the homemade cakes! We were made to feel very welcome and the owners were so kind - on their recommendation on our last evening we were able to sample traditional raclette at a restaurant nearby - delicious! We would love to go back and we would certainly recommend to others. Thamk-you for such a lovely stay!

Very cute little hotel on the edge of town. The interiors are modern chalet chic, with warm wood paneling and slate floors. Our bed was very comfortable and both bedroom and bathroom very clean. The staff are kind and friendly and always happy to help their guests. Breakfast is delicious continental style, with eggs made to order. They provide a shuttle on request to and from the nearby Dolonne ski lift. And we appreciated being able to confirm a shorter stay (2 nights) reservation during the busy high season.

Nothing personally. Just need to take note that check in is not until 4pm (the front door of the hotel opens with a room key card, so you cannot enter without it if nobody from the hotel is present). Also, it is a good 10-15 minute walk (flat) to the center of Courmayeur if you do not wish to drive. There is a bus service available into town.
