Our room was spacious and bright, with a view out to the sea from the west window and a very large terrace off of glass doors on the south side. The hotel is in an 18th century villa, with extensive grounds, worthy of a stroll. The breakfast buffet is included with the room and has quite a good selection of items. You can sit indoors or outside in the courtyard, and it's a nice start to the day. The location is a short walk to the excavation site and to shops and restaurants. We ended up with an unallocated day, so spent several hours in the courtyard reading or at the pool, swimming, reading and just having a "down day" and enjoying the ambience and amenities of the hotel. I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area. We were originally planning on taking the train from Pompeii to visit the excavation, but I spotted this hotel, and wanted to stay here, so we split our accommodation between Pompeii and Ercolano. It was worth relocating for, and a walkable distance from the train station.

The air conditioning in our room did not work properly, and the temperature was mid-30s. Staff were helpful in setting up a portable air conditioner, but it did not last the night, so our sleeps were not as good as if we'd had air conditioning, or the weather had been cooler. I don't imagine this is an ongoing issue, though.

The rooms were lovely and spacious, the hotel very pretty and the grounds. The pool was lovely and breakfast was nice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Central to the town with lots on the door step. Whilst the hotel and grounds were a little run down, it was still very beautiful and charming and I would absolutely stay again with my family.

Good location, very spacious rooms, the staff is super friendly and breakfast is good. My room had a bath and shower. Windows open all the way, which was great, I travelled in September, weather is hot during the day but it gets a bit cooler at night. The bed was huge

It clearly needs some investment and attention to detail. It has very good bones but it has been neglected, door handles loose, ugly plastic plants ruining the beautiful building, and a dirty pool.

Very large bedroom equipped with nice furniture, TV, safe box, hanging space and lovely marble bathroom in the old fashioned style which was perfectly in keeping with the nature of the 18th century historical building. Huge windows in bedroom and bathroom with great views of Vesuvius, formal gardens and grounds. Great restaurant with wood fired pizzas but sadly not used by many of the guests. We were the only guests at dinner the two nights were there. The chefs were excellent, the best restaurant we found in Ercolano. The other guests didn't know what they were missing!

The hotel is located in a residential area only a few train stations away from Pompeii and Herculaneum's archeological sites. As an historic hotel, it has an antique, rustic, old-world charm with a quaint garden. Although the hotel might benefit from decorative renovations to spruce it up, our room was very large with high ceilings and lovely big windows with views of Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. The hotel also served a variety of food and drinks. Lastly, we received excellent customer service by the hotel's staff (from the restaurant to front desk). Indeed, Daniela from the front desk organized at short notice a taxi service from the Ercolano Scavi train station and to Naples Marina; she was very helpful, friendly, professional and accommodating with all our subsequent requests. Her English language skills were also excellent.

There was no hotel shuttle service to/from the train station nor to/from Naples/ Naples Marina. While the hotel is not too far from the train station for young, intrepid travelers, older travelers would be wise to organize a taxi service beforehand. Also, the hotel is located in a residential area, so alternative dining options are limited.

If value/location is what is priority, this is a good place. It's decent with a nice breakfast that's included and great walkable location. The staff is professional and helpful. Unit has ac and wifi. It's no Ritz Carlton, but gets the job done. Neighborhood is considered rough, as there are junkies and hustlers around, but nothing that can't be overlooked if you are well equipped with the grab, twist, pull, gouge, method. Single female traveler not well equipped in gtpgm,I wouldn't suggest, but group or couple. Good.

The property itself is stunning. It’s on large grounds with beautiful surroundings and the room itself is just out of this world with a gorgeous view of Mt Vesuvius.

There is nothing we didn’t like about this hotel. Some parts are in need of a little updating BUT that’s what we liked about it, it adds to the charm.

Beautiful palatial building with huge room and exstensive grounds. Super convenient for Herclaneum. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I was made to feel truly welcome, and offered excellent local advice about things to do and see.

I could say that the bath/shower wasnt the best. But I didn't mind. Its a charming place to stay.

The hotel itself is a villa built in the 18th century. The building and garden may have been beautiful and very exclusive quite a few years ago. These pictures are still up on the booking.com pictures, but they are not like that today, so if we look at it we felt a little deceived. Unfortunately, there seems to be a lack of staff, possibly a lack of capital for renovation and maintenance. Most of the fountains and parkland in the park area are not operated at all, they are filled with dirty water and there is garbage in several places, though it could be a dazzling park. The pool and surroundings are super. The staff is kind and helpful. Breakfast is very poor, not too fresh, which would be offset if the bread, vegetables and fruits were cut aesthetically more beautifully. We were completely satisfied with our room, which was big, comfortable, clean. Unfortunately the restaurant is not open, there is no lunch or dinner, and several huge rooms are empty and it would be wonderful to have a restaurant. We went to nearby restaurants to eat, we ate incredibly delicious pizzas at the Ro.Vi pizzeria. All in all, value for money is definitely worth booking here and we had a great time, we spent 4 nights here with our toddler.

Cleanliness was of concern. The room was in need of repair as were the furnishings.eg broken lamps with exposed wires. Floors needed scrubbing. It is obvious the hotel needs renovation.Unfortunately the area in which it is situated did not feel safe for two females to walk around in. Rather worrying when we needed to go out for dinner
