We had an amazing stay at Villa Batista. Location, staff, breakfast, room, etc. Everything was abolute PERFETTO! We arrived early around 11 am and our room wasn’t ready (still occupied). I told them if there was a room or toilet for changing our clothes, they immediately told us as soon the previous guest left our room, they were gonna clean it. And so after 10 minutes we checked-in our room. Nice spacious with a view to Napoli. The breakfast was very nice and tasty, so was the terrace with views over Napoli and mount Vesivius. I want to thank all of the 3 ladies of this accommodation. They were very gentle, helpful and did everything with a smile. They showed us the perfect Ospitalita Italiana Another highlight was the free Private parking for the guests across the Villa, it’s very necessary if you rent a car to see more of this beautiful region! Definitely coming back! Grazie di tutto!!!

A 25 minute walk from the train station, the breakfast was fine, boiled eggs, toast, some pastries and fruit available. The room was great with views of the sea and the bay of naples, and Mount vesuvius on the other side . Beautiful large bed with quality covers and pillows ,also th shower and toilet are excellent

Well the TV had Netflix available when I arrived, but this stopped working on the Thursday along with my phone connection and the issues were not addressed. The receptionist is slightly severe ,she speaks as much English as I speak Italian, about 5 words, so communication is impossible.

It is a big grand old house, the entrance and doors are big and old fashioned, but the room was modern and well furnished. The bed was comfortable and there was a huge shower with plenty of hot water. The terrace where you have breakfast has great views over the bay of Naples to one side and Vesuvius to the other. I was travelling alone but felt safe there.

The breakfast was very basic, but it was ok. I asked for milk for my coffee which never came despite me being there only person there. If you’re staying in Ercolano to see the ruins it’s a decent place to stay, but I wasn’t keen on the town so with hindsight should have just done a day trip.

The view is by far the best! Our room had a view of the Vezuvius, which could also be seen from the breakfast terrace. From there you could also see the rest of Ercolano and the sea, so you can understand why I am mentioning the views being the hotel's strongest feature. But also worth mentioning is that the staff was very lovely and helpful, the breakfast was quite substantial for a continental one, and I really liked the fact you could use the terraces and balconies in the evenings. Our room had the bed on the mezzanine level, which was an interesting layout. We had our rooms tidied every day which I have found a bit excessive, given that we weren't expecting that the first day. Would be handy to have 'Do not Disturb' signs for the door

the small couch in our room was quite stained and grubby and it really didn't make a good impression although we had a rack with hangers for our clothes I think a proper wardrobe would have been a better idea

Breakfast on the terrace is simply the best way to start the day, the view of vesuvius on one side and the gulf of naples on the other! Just spectacular!. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Special mention to Susy , who speaks fantastic English and helped us out via whatsapp when we missed our flight to Naples and had to fly to Rome instead then take a train down to Naples Centrale, i had called to let them know we would be arriving late evening (after check-in time) , susy arranged a taxi for us from the train station to the hotel, gave perfectly clear instruction of how to get into the locked building and our room!. And was so reassuring!. The rooms are clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, we were also even given extra coathangers when we asked. The minibar is a nice touch and good prices. Wifi really good, lovely balcony views all around the building , the lift is a great help, just all in all a fantastic place for a short break.

No kettle in the room, so advise taking a travel one if u like a brew in bed, but there is a communal coffee machine on the second floor. Nearest train station Ercolano Scavi is about 20 minute walk - but you can get to Naples city , Sorrento and pompeii runs from there.

Our room was a loft-style, with the bathroom and a lounge area downstairs, and the beds upstairs. It was spacious, very comfortable, and nice and clean, with free wifi. The lift in the main building was very helpful - it saved us hauling our suitcases up three flights of stairs! Staff were really friendly and helpful, and both the property and our room felt very secure, too. Breakfast was perfect - simple but tasty - and the location of the villa was also great. I'd recommend getting a taxi from the train station - it's a bit of a walk with luggage. The villa itself is in a great location though. It has great views, and is close to the ruins, with lots of great places to eat within walking distance.

Views were stunning, and the value for money was great. It was a nice choice to start our first night in Italy on our way to Sorrento. The setting for breakfast was breathtaking.

There was a sulfur smell in our room that seemed to be the pipes. The biggest complaint is there was a woman working at breakfast who was curt and unkind. Everyone else was very pleasant. Over all, we would return to this hotel again because the morning was redeemed by the kindness of the receptionist.

Friendly staff who were very helpful, good location, decent breakfast. Loved watching the sun set over the bay of Naples from the terrace.

As a solo traveller I stayed in during the evening, and really missed having a comfortable seat to sit and read. Especially as the room has balcony doors and a pleasant view - add a comfy chair and it would have been perfect.

A fantastic place, the whole building was dreamy, elegantly furiniahed and superbly decorated. There were great staff, lovely and welcoming. Amazing views and location, great breakfast, everything was fresh.

The only problem was the single bed in the room. It was uncomfortable. Overall the room was a bit small for three people, but everything else was absolutely fabulous.

Very clean room and a good size. The breakfast was good for the price we paid and there was a choice of cereals, pastries, cake, toast, cold meats and cheeses. The hotel was located very close to the Herculaneum excavations and about 1 mile from the train station to get to Naples. There were some reasonable restaurants and bars within 15-20 minutes walking distance of the hotel

The breakfast area was a bit 'tired' - rusty chairs and worn out seat pads.
