This was our second stay at this hotel, and we particularly love the location, right next to the port of Ischia. Our room had a small balcony, perfect for sitting and enjoying the scene of the port activities, with ferries coming and going etc. and also looking across to steep hills with many lovely villas on the slopes. The main shopping street is just around the corner, filled with many boutiques, cafes etc. and this narrow street is mostly pedestrianised, especially in the evenings. The hotel has good, standard amenities, the room was spacious and comfortable. It is also next to a pedestrianised street, right on the water, lined with many, many cafes and restaurants, all featuring seafood. If you're not a seafood lover, Ischia will prove rather difficult for dining, aside from endless pizzas! Our favourite restaurant, about 2 doors away, was 'Michelangelo' --great seafood, very friendly yet professional service. A lot of fun in the evenings. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The town's main bus station is a few minutes' walk. Buses are the ideal transport to explore the whole island. We would never consider hiring a car--no need. We will certainly stay here again on another return visit one day.

Nothing much, except the room's air-con. was somewhat erratic and hard to adjust. We mostly left the terrace door ajar at night, and although it can be a bit noisy for a while, this settles down (eventually!).

We had such a wonderful stay at the Aragona Palace in Ischia that my partner, who does not care for leaving feedback, agreed we must leave a positive review for the Aragona staff. Of course the location, right by the port as you get off the ferry, was a primary consideration when booking. Personally, I did not have high hopes for the hotel as I expected it to be dated and on the basic side, but it had authentic old world charm and was simple and unfussy in the way that most of the best things in life are. The views from the multi-terraced pool decks are some of the most beautiful over the harbour. The rooms were pristine and when we asked for extra towels it arrived within minutes. The crown jewel of Aragona is its staff who became like friends in our 4 days here. Jelena and Kiara (pardon if I got that wrong as I’m not sure of the spelling) were the persons we dealt with most often. All beautiful and incredibly helpful assisting with things like the best restaurants, bank directions and how to send a parcel in Italy to catering to my requests for a vegan breakfast. Also a special mention goes to Martina, the wonderful chef and the other young bartender. I’m sad to leave in part because of these wonderful Ischians. If there are any improvements I can suggest for future guests it would be to perhaps have a bit more fruit at the buffet and a vegan milk or vegan yoghurt for the granola. Otherwise if you like pastries, there is not a variety of pastry they do not have. Thank you, you were all fantastic!

The Aragona Palace is great, with a super location that is walking distance from the Ferry. There are plenty of restaurants, and sightseeing is nearby as well. All kinds of transportation to other places of interest is very close to hotel. The main shopping street Via Roma is around the corner for those beautiful walks. The breakfast at the hotel is decent, but the front desk service was exceptional with Elena and Martina being very accommodating and super knowledgeable about everything the hotel and the Island of Ischia has to offer. Special thank you to Elena and Martina for making our stay unforgettable!

The location is ideal because it is nest to the Port. It is an easy walk after departing the ferry. The personnel are quite friendly and will assist you with your questions. I have stayed here 2 years in a row and if I return, I will stay again. It is an understated hotel that is most comfortable and convenient. The breakfast is expansive. Although I did not prefer some of the items, there was always enough choices to create a meal of your liking. Spa services are excellent. The pool although small has a great view of the marina. The pool was never crowded either year.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The young man (Lorenzo) at the front desk always greeted me as I passed and offered information on what to see on the island. I was also upgraded to a room with a balcony - thank you :-)

The only bad thing was that I had mosquitos in my room and got bitten at night.

The location was 5 minutes to the port and as soon as you walk out the door, all your restaurants are right there. The view from the room was gorgeous and the staff are super nice. The rooms are clean and there was a variety for breakfast. No complaints! I will book this property again next May.

The beds were a little uncomfortable and the pillows a little thin but you can request more.

Hotel is well located opposite the harbour so great views. You do get woken earlier with the boats getting ready though. Staff were lovely and helpful. The breakfast wasn't that great, so we ended up having a second small one at the cafe round the corner. The rooms are a little tired, especially the bathrooms, but they do the job. Bring your own toiletries, since the hotel ones struggle to get a lather up! The rooftop thermal pool is great - very warm (around 32-34 degrees) so eases any muscle strains.

Mosquitoes bugged us the first night, since we couldn't see any to start. Once we smacked them all, it was fine. Subsequent nights ok, as we didn't open the French doors and did a scout round for them when getting back to the room (there were quite a few in the hallway and they must get into the rooms, during maid cleaning). Obviously a common problem judging by the splatters on the walls. (We didn't have any in Naples or Capri). Breakfast as above - a bit basic.

The location is superb, facing the port/harbour, so in the very centre close to all shops and restaurants, as well as boats if you wish to take a trip around the island or to other islands around. We had a room with a terrace on the top floor with a fantastic view of the harbour. The hotel is also close to the Aragonese Castle built on a small tidal island connected by a causeway. It has a pool with thermal water and a lovely area around it on three levels with enough sunbeds, but the two levels above are not well taken care of. It's a pity. The spa was great and I recommend an anti-aging facial. And if you wish to swim in the sea, in addition to several public beaches close by, you can take a taxi that will take you to Giardino Eden, a beach club about 10 minutes from the hotel. It offers sea access, pools and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was not replenished so if you were later, so e.g. 10:00 while breakfast was open until 10:30, you could not find much of anything. Once we came earlier, around 9:00, and it was great. Pity.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff . Ideal location from getting off the ferry boat . The rooms are spacious and clean . We had a lovely harbour view balcony room with great views , especially at sunset . The town and beach is a short walk from the hotel and everything accessible on foot .

Service at pool was slow and the beer we were served was warm despite coming out of a fridge in a bottle .

The property is in an excellent location close to the harbour. The staff without exception were friendly, polite and professional. The roof terrace was a very pleasant surprise, it just keeps going up and up the hillside and the views are wonderful. Breakfast was of a very good quality with a plentiful choice. The building is also very solidly built, which made for an excellent sleep - you could not hear the people in other rooms or corridors.

The room decor is a bit dated, although of good quality.
