First class B&B at a five to ten-minute walk from the railway station and the old town. An elegant room, carefully renovated and decorated in modern style with lots of hints of local tradition. Impeccably clean and well cared for. The bed most comfortable. Excellent breakfast with a variety of homemade local delicacies like il pasticciotto pugliese. Rosario is a most welcoming and devoted host and always willing to help. The atmosphere in his B&B is very relaxed and friendly. I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lecce.

Great location, very close to the old town of Lecce. The host, Rosario, was very helpful and easy to communicate with. He seemed genuinely interested in his guests, and gave good advice on parking options. We always got a parking space in the streets around the apartment, even on Friday and Saturday night, so no issues at all. The room was clean and comfortable. We didn't have breakfast, so can't comment. There was wine, beer, yoghurt etc in the fridge, which you could buy. Handy if you arrive late, although there's also a supermarket at the end of the street if you want to stock up.

The bathroom from the next room juts out into the room we were in, and we could hear everything that happened there...unfortunately the person staying there was on the same time schedule as us, so we heard every time they went to the bathroom, turned on taps, shower etc.. There's no sound proofing. It was a bit disturbing to be honest. Other than that, it was good.

Rosario was always very responsive to all questions and communication. He helped carry our luggage and stored it until the rooms were ready. Both apartments were beautifully designed and decorated. Beds and pillows were comfy, AC chilled the apartment well, rooms were quiet. Hair dryer, bath products, and coffee for the morning were all in the room. Housekeeping came after 2 days and refreshed all the supplies. It was a short walk to the historic center of Lecce. I highly recommend this rental.

The only down side was trying to find car parking on the street on Friday and Saturday evening, but it would not deter me from renting the apartment.

Rosario the host was exceptional - always on hand to offer advice .Made it feel like home from home . 4 minute walk from arch that leads into the Main Street of the Old Town (historical area) Tastefully decorated spacious room , air conditioning,spotlessly clean and with a good sized en-suite .Tea/coffee facility ,fridge in room , 50 metre from supermarket.Lot of restaurants within 10 minutes walk . Breakfast was served at agreed time on bar outside the room .Each day it was different with Italian Delicacies.Table and chair in room to eat .Small balcony - we didn’t use it as it was too hot this time of year .We found a place to park for free just outside the proper and didn’t need to use the car for the 3 days we were there . Would come back in a heartbeat

Eccelsoleccese is in a great location, 12minutes from the train station, a short walk to the old town, 5minutes to a supermarket. Rosario is a great host, when we arrived it was Lecce’s celebration of Pasticciotto, a delicious creamed filled short crust pastry, which he had kindly left for us to try. The property is spotless & with a lovely outdoor eating area on a balcony, perfect spot to eat your breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay here & would highly recommend it to fellow travellers.

We stayed in Eccelsoleccese for 2 days and we absolutely loved it. This was our third stop in Puglia and we couldn’t ask for for a better host and a better location in Lecce. The apartment, with a handy little balcony, was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. AC was great, and TV was handy when I wanted to play some music on YT, or when I wanted to watch some Netflix. Bit of noise was expected because the apartment is just beside a busy street but both of us slept like a baby. After 11pm there’s no one on the street, no cars and not too many people, so you won’t hear a thing. In case you’re really fussy you can close the balcony door and that will solve all your problems. It took us 10 minutes to get to the train station, and 10 minutes to get to Lecce’s historic old centre. It all depends how fast you walk. Great location if you plan to walk around the old town. We also managed to check in earlier than expected (at 1pm) which made things much easier for us. Local supermarket is 5 minutes away, and so is the fantastic Greek restaurant Ambrosia Ristorante Greco. Rosario, our host, gave us a couple of great tips and recommendations about local restaurants, he even offered to book us a table for an amazing Italian restaurant, but since we love Greek food we decided to go to Ambrosia after checking all the reviews. Rosario also offered to cook pasta for us in case we don’t find a good one in Lecce :). Rosario was great. He was attentive and knowledgeable about Lecce and the local area. He speaks English which was a big bonus for us because we don’t speak Italian. Breakfast was good, you get to choose between a continental breakfast and an Italian one. Omelette, scrambled eggs, cupcakes, and fresh fruit, all ready for you after 8:30am on a little stand in front of your room. Rosario really makes you feel comfy and makes you feel at home. If we ever go back to Lecce we’ll definitely go back to Eccelsoleccese. I can't praise it enough, a 10/10. P.S.

Everything was great

Very charming ensuite room with a little balcony in the vicinity of Centro Storico of Lecce. The furnishings are very comfortable and leave nothing to be desired. The communication with the host Rosario was perfect. He submitted us all check in information via WhatsApp, completely and timely. During our stay we had a great communication.

Everything. Great location near the train station and city center. Rosario is very welcoming. At my arrival he gave me one of the best pasticciotti I’ve eaten in Lecce, at my departure wonderful taralli. Great room, very clean, I also appreciated the presence of a fridge in my room. I tried a lot of B&Bs in Lecce and this one was one of my very favorite. I highly recommend.

Everything was perfect

It was quite a calm street that is very close to old town, perfect location in our opinion. If you are lucky, you even have a free parking spot in front of the apartment! If not, there are enough options in the streets around it. The suite is super comfortable and clean and Rosario was always easy to contact via Whatsapp! We can also recommend going to the beach close to Gallipoli :)

Nothing, we had a great stay!

Rosario is an exceptional host and very welcoming, helpful and attentive. The facility is beautiful and clean and the bed couldn't be more comfortable. Eccelsoleccese will be my first choice if I visit Lecce again, it's 10 out of 10 for me.
