We booked the suite and were glad we did. The room was spacious with a separate adjoining space and beautifully furnished. There were two nice little balconies so we could look out on to the square. Alessandra who greeted us was friendly and very helpful with restaurant recommendations and they allowed us an early check in which was great. We also had a small bottle of wine in our room. The upstairs terrace was lovely for breakfast and you can also use it during the day for sunbathing although we didn’t have time. It was also very central but quiet at night. We would definitely come again.

Very small points - the shower took a bit of time to warm up but it wasn’t an issue. Breakfast was good Italian style with pastries, fruit, bread, coffee and fruit juice and the offer of ham and cheese, although ideally we would have liked cereal as an option. Again not really a problem.

This apartment was perfect for our night in Lecce- we could have moved in! We were contacted by phone prior to arrival to ensure a smooth check in and there was assistance available throughout if you needed a question answering. The room its self was a suite and the balconies looked out over a square - it was wonderful. We were able to get to all the sights and restaurants within 1 minute on foot- this really was a great find !

We liked everything. A note for other travellers would be to park at the nearby parking and walk to the apartment so as to avoid any issues with the restricted entry zone of the old town. (It isn’t far)

I thought the accommodations were excellent for the price point. Alessandra was an excellent host and provided assistance with all my requests; she went above and beyond. The breakfast up on the rooftop was a great way to start each morning. Nicoletta was a great host as well but didn't get to know her as well as Alessandra.

Finding it was a bit of a challenge. Lugging luggage up the flights of stairs was a big of a challenge. Also, when we came back late at night there was no light in the staircase. It was very dark.

This BnB was just the most lovely place and was perfect for our 4 night stay in Lecce. We were welcomed every morning and met with a delicious breakfast which started our mornings perfectly. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was beautiful and was cleaned every day which was a wonderful service. The room felt very comfortable but also felt luxurious. I would highly recommend Palazzo Marini BnB to anyone looking to stay in Lecce.

That we had to leave

Beautiful big rooms, high ceilings, very comfortable bed, super clean. Dream location, excellent breakfast and fantastic hosts. Wish we could’ve stayed longer, I highly recommend.

Only thing was the shower, its not easy manoeuvring between the rain shower head and the handheld shower. Silly, but it would never stay on the rain shower head, you kind of had to keep pushing thr button. But thats a very small detail to me.

Staff were reluctant to serve breakfast on the beautiful roof terrace, (probably because it was easier to serve guests in the dining room) .We had to insist that was were we wanted to eat and it was worth the battle . Perfect views over Lecce . Wi-Fi was in and out

The breakfast was lovely - good choice. A little slow on first day for those of us needing to rush but other days excellent. The service was great and very welcoming - and the location on the roof terrace was marvellous. Would have liked water in the kettle and maybe access to some milk to have made a hot drink of an evening.

We are not great fans of air conditioning and the weather in October was cool enough at night to have the windows open but we did suffer a lot of bites. Otherwise, the only other very small point - as above - concerned water in kettle and access to some milk of an evening; however, to be fair there was a mini bar in the room for cold drinks.

The property was the top floor of a very tastefully renovated palazzo. Our room was a separate suite at the entrance to the B&B so we had our own entrance which was nice and also had access to the B&B for breakfast and any queries. The spacious suite was fabulous with a separate room containing a couch for relaxing. ( I presume it could also be an extra bed) The room was very clean and serviced everyday. The breakfast provided was plentiful and a choice of lots of sweet and savory options , juices, coffees etc. We even got to eat breakfast on the terrace a couples of mornings. The weather was windy so unfortunately it wasn’t possible everyday. The location was excellent, a short walking distance from the train station (which we used for daily trips to other towns) and although it was in a quiet part of the old which we liked it was only a short distance to all the restaurants, bars and other sites.

Unfortunately we had some issues with our air conditioning and even after it was looked at continued to only work intermittently. Also the lowest temperature we could get it to was 23 degrees. As it was May the weather wasn’t too hot but if it had been the height of summer it could have been a bigger issue. Also it is important to remember that some tourists live in cooler climates and are not used to sleeping in hotter temperatures without air conditioning. Also just one suggestion to improve the facilities a coffee machine in the suite would have been welcome or at the very least a kettle.

Alessandra was amazing and super helpful! She gave lots of recommendations and made it a wonderful experience. The breakfast in the morning was exceptional and our room was lovely and super clean.

I would have preferred to know exactly where to park ahead of time and getting in through the entrance took a few mins, but we figured it out.

Charming B&B in the historic center of Lecce! We had a suite which worked perfectly for our family, as our son had a separate sleeping area. The B&B was exceptionally clean and large, with comfy beds and soft towels and linens. The rooftop terrace was charming. Location is great inside the city center and near lots of wonderful restaurants.

Breakfast in the morning took a long time which was odd for a basic continental breakfast. If you are arriving to Lecce by car, be aware that you cannot access this B&B with your car as it is in a restricted zone and parking on the streets closest to the city center can be very difficult.
