I stayed there for the period 03-08.08 Petra Residence is a great place to relax with clean, spacious and very beautiful apartments, the terrace for observing the volcano and at the same time an incredible view of the sea and breathtaking sunrises is not to be missed! It is located a two-minute walk from the beach, two minutes from the breakfast place if you have ordered one, and there they make the best granita on the island! The hostess Pedra is a great and warm-hearted person who is always ready to answer and help with all your questions and wishes, I would definitely visit this place again ❤️❤️❤️❤️ When I left and thanked for the hospitality in the eyes and saw so much kindness ☀️☀️☀️

Everything was perfect

The breakfast is at a nearby cafe so you'll have to go there in the morning and "order". I got 2 pastries, a coffee and orange juice. The "hotel" is in a quiet area of the village(not that the village is crazy) and they have a nice multi level terrace that you can chill on during the day and even during the night, listening to the booms of the volcano. I have no idea what other facilities there are, the reception person didn't tell me anything about them. I was able to checkin in slightly earlier because my room was ready, so that's appreciated. My room had some tableware and silverware but no sink to wash them. the wifi was more than ok.

the staff serving breakfast in the near cafe should be much more friendly and communicate better with the forigners. the young ladies did not speak English, they were not showing any hospitality or willingness to explain anything and we felt like we bother them. there were only sweet options to select from, only a very small glass of orange juice and no fruit at all. for someone not used to sweat breakfast it is difficult to eat the same every day. there was noone to explain what can be ordered or how the system works, so the breakfast was actually the worst moment of the day for us.

The room was bigger than it seemed on the pictures, perfect for 2 adults and 2 teens for a few days. The terrace was simply amazing, wonderful views and beautiful plants. Breakfast at a nearby cafe was included and very Sicilian (sweet and coffee, no eggs etc). The kitchen is tiny but has everything you need, and coffee capsules are available in the reception. One of the few appartements I've booked here that actually have adequate cultery, plates, glasses etc. We had a wonderful stay and recommend it to everyone! A la prossima!

The bathroom, while clean, could use a deep clean in all the nooks and crannies.

Lovely spacious room. The roof terrace was perfect for sitting on in the evening and watching the plumes of smoke from the volcano. Breakfast is not on-site, rather it is a 10-minute walk up to the Ingrid cafe. There you can get delicious pastries, granita and coffee. A taxi/golfcart from the port is recommended if you have luggage as the residence is an uphill walk, quite tough in the summer heat.

Our ferry from Milazzo arrived at 07:30 but Pedra residence allowed us to check in without any penalty. It was a bit of a walk from the port but still a great place to be. BTW do call in at the cafe right next to the port (Malandrino) for breakfast, the guys there were fun, genuine and generous. The room had a great outlook and quite close to centre. Bed was comfortable, all was clean and enough paraphernalia to make meals and a shop close by. You will need guides for a nighttime trek up the volcano. We used Magmatrek, they were very good. Be prompt for the ferries they leave on the dot. Da Luciano is a great place to eat, we had lunch there both days.

No dishwasher, only joking I washed the dishes and it was a great place to stay.

The attitude of the employees: the location of the reception is not very easy to find, when we were looking for it and wrote a message to the host, they responded in italian, but they did not bother to come out and guide us, while there were two receptionists and no other guest. So they have to learn some hospitality for this price.

The staff was very friendly and the room was very nice and clean with a separate entrance from the street and an exit to a shared terrace from which it was possible to see Stromboli's eruptions at night. We got a coupon for a free breakfast at a nearby caffe and a discount for lunch and dinner. They gave us more than enough soap, shower gel and shampoo. We were very close to the centre.

The room was a bit dark.

During winter time, it is strange to not know the instructions to get into the rooms maybe to have a WhatsApp or any communication channel can help to communicate faster.

It has a beautiful terrace with the most beautiful views, the sea in front, the volcano in the back! Lilly was really kind and caring!
