The property is close to the airport, travel into Venice by train is every 10 minutes. There is a supermarket + restaurants close by. The room is functional. Our family room had clean towels + fresh bedding. The bed was clean. We arrived on a Sat night, it is lovely on the street + the corridor was lovely with doors banging. Our second night was much quieter. I thought that property was good value. You can tell it has heavy traffic because of its location + price, if you don't expect it to be picture perfect, you will be pleasantly surprised by its vibe + atmosphere.

Location is within a few minutes of walk from the train station and the bus that takes you straight to the airport The stuff is very professional, highly trained, friendly, and ready to help. The rooms and lobby are very clean and have a contemporary design. The A&O hostel is a truly unique find in such a busier tourist area.

Awesome location – there’s a store nearby, some spots to grab a snack, and the train and bus stops aren’t far. Super easy to get to Venice and the airport. The staff was really cool – you can tell they’re trying to make it feel like home. Can’t say for everyone, but the guy who checked us in was super nice and left the best impression!

To be honest, the room wasn’t very clean. There was dust on the floor and baseboards, and the light switches were dirty too. When we arrived, there was a clump of black hair on the floor and curly black hairs on the sink. The shower had quite a bit of mold, and there was always some kind of condensation on the towel warmer. Also, my pillow was really uncomfortable – the filling was uneven, which made it hard to get a good night’s sleep.

Large, very welcoming hotel, outdoor entrance area with armchairs and table. Great. Lobby with various services, male security guard. Pleasant room, no noise. My disappointment: no response to my messages when I booked (2 adjoining rooms and private parking space €20 per day). In the end, there was a paid covered parking lot next door, free from 8 p.m. (homeless people at night but no problems). Paid €23 for 4 and a half days. Light cleaning, terrible pillows, jersey fitted sheets in summer, one of which had a hole in it, only 2 bath towels in 1 room. A decent breakfast but could be improved. No pastries, only apples, seasonal fruit. The savory side is good. Food, buses, and trains are close to the hotel. A very negative thing is that there are 2 elevators for a 9-story hotel. We waited a very long time, despite this. This restored a good memory of my stay. stay

Nice, functional, and relatively clean, friendly and very kind staff. Great common area. Close to the train station and bus stops for Venice. The hostel has a security guy all night.

- WiFi in the dorm was very bad (had only 1 bar) - The sockets for charging and the light in the bed area were not working. People tried to help themselves with the few sockets available around the room. - the luggage cover of the luggage cage under the bed was dusty. - The cappuccino at the bar was quite bad and relatively expensive (had it 2x, both times bad). - The neighbourhood is a bit so-so. Generally safe, but on the way from the train station you might be stopped by people asking you for money or offering you drugs.

Great stay for a solo trip! I stayed at a&o Venezia Mestre alone for 4 days and felt completely safe and comfortable. The location is perfect — just a short walk from the train station, with easy access to Venice. Friendly staff at reception, helpful security, and a relaxed vibe at the bar. The large lounge is amazing — cool, spacious, with charging spots and comfy seating. There’s a kitchen, lockers for luggage, and clean rooms with A/C, a hairdryer, soap, and shower gel. Towels are available at reception for €1.50. Perfect for solo female travelers — safe, clean, and convenient. I’d definitely come back! 💛😍

It's really near the Mestre Stazione so, you have a perfect location to go to Santa Lucia by train or bus. They have a very nice breakfast and space in the reception in case you need to wait for the check in. I liked they have a lot of facilities and options for food or drink.

The shared rooms were a little dirty, specially the bathroom. They do clean every morning but still the water from the washbasin was pouring near the walls so the humidty was really unpleasant inside and smelly. The beds were fine and comfy.

We are overwhelmed and extremely happy with our stay in A&O hostel. It can be actually called a hotel not hostel. We had our clean and neat room with double bed with private bathroom and toilet similar to any other hotels. It is extremely value for money, very near to all transport facilities, clean and neat, impressive lobby, very friendly and smiling staffs. There is a bar and restaurant in the lobby, Malik at the bar was very friendly and supportive. Good family crowd in the lobby, we are thoroghly satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend A&O hostel for anyone travelling to Venice.

Nothing in precise, everything perfect.

It is huge, looks like a big hotel almost. Location is great. Walking distance to everything including the railway station and bus terminal. There’s a kitchen and laundry room which are important for me. You can store your luggage in the luggage room. There’s a bar and activities for guests.

Mosquitos in the dorm. I guess we should have closed the windows. There are no lights in the bunks. There’s one outlet to share with two people but it’s close to the floor so that the person in the upper bank can’t reach it. A curtain on each bunk would have been nice for privacy esp in the mixed dorms. The kitchen is not well equipped. One bowl, no knife, no pots, small plates and glasses, one spoon. One of the refrigerators freezes food esp veggies. Kitchen and dining too small for the amount of people who try to cook. Check in and check out does not amount to 24 hrs which we should have since we pay for 24 hrs. Common in many hotels and hostels but it robs the guests with time. I didn’t see the breakfast served but maybe the hostel has stopped serving a buffet breakfast.
