First impression was how lovely and friendly the gentleman named Piero on reception desk was. Always a nice start. He was very informative and helpful with restaurants etc in the area. He provided us with a map and marked off locations we needed. On request Piero promptly supplied us with extra pillows. Hotel was lovely and clean as was our comfortable room. Twin beds were comfy, no complaints as a good night's sleep was had. Plenty of fresh towels and toiletries supplied. Hairdryer in bathroom. TV worked. Hotel was nice and quiet and we never heard any other guests. Super handy that our room was right beside the lift. Having come in from 34° temperatures outside we were so grateful of air conditioning in the room - it was a blessing. We enjoyed a lovely continental breakfast of juice, pastries, yogurts, cheese, peaches and hot breakfast tea. There was also ham, breads, cereals, nutella, jams etc I requested Gluten Free for my Coeliac Grandson and he was provided with a selection of sealed packets of crackers & cakes which he had with cheese yoghurt & fruit and enjoyed. Many thanks to the hotel staff for looking after our requests and making our stay a pleasant one, especially Piero on front desk. Highly recommend this hotel for a nice quiet peaceful stay, with beautiful beaches and some fab restaurants a few minutes walk away, that also provided GF meals. Wish I could remember the names now as I would love to recommend them. Especially great if you have spent time in the busy streets of Venice Central and need a bit of quiet after the buzz and travels. Plus we had no difficulty getting there, the bus journey (which was frequent using route A or C) from the boat taxi (#52) station was under 10 minutes to Hotel. Wasnt a biggie - would have loved having a kettle and tea available in the room but happy that a pot of tea was available to order at €2 from reception and juices which were available in minutes. Both were really tasty.

The staff was so nice, nice and modern looking room with a private bathroom. Great location, only a 3 minute walk to the beach and restaurants and like a 10 minute walk to the closest shop with food. You could get to the city centre by bus in 7 minutes and if you wanted to go to Venice, it’s like another 10 minutes by the water bus to San Marco.

I expected a little more options to choose from at the breakfast but i could still get my stomach full. The price of the private beach was 25€ per day per two people, which is a lot in my opinion.

The room was clean, freshly painted, all in white color, with natural light and relaxing, the view of the room was on other building. And hotel is in a beatiful tranquil location on Lido di Venezia island, where you can ride a bike, take a walk, go to the beach or to the restorants and cafes in the port, or go to Venice- it takes about 5 min with local bus to get to the port and then 30 min with waterbus- which both are frequent.

There was no shelf in the shower cabin, to put soap or shower gel, while bathing and there was no garbage bin in the room- but these are small things. No fridge, but I didnt needed one during my stay in april. Breakfast is very simple, but OK if ypubare not late :) and it would be nice to hear italian music instead od english during breakfast :)

Reviews of Sorriso Hotel The Hotel was spotlessly clean, the cleaners came in every day and made the beds etc The breakfast was superb with plenty of choice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it and we old certainly would go back Perfect if you want to incorporate the beach. At first we were really worried as the hotel seemed to be in a residential area. After a 45minute walk from the water bus with our luggage we arrived at the hotel. The reception desk gave us valuable information regarding the local bus stops etc to the water buses. Everytime we went out the hotel to the bus stop, a bus arrived within minutes and 10-15 minutes later we arrived at the water bus stop where we only ever waited a couple of minutes and the same for the return journey. The buses and water buses run 24 hours so the location of the hotel wasn’t a problem.

The Hots were polite and very kind, giving all they have to make the most comfortable stay in Italy. The hotel is huge, the rooms are big, well furnished, clean, amazing bed, AC, and the best roller curtain that make fell at the night in the morning when we decided over sleep (in Italy the life is at the night, I love it). The breakfast was the best in Italian’s hotels. Without a doubt, it has been my best breakfast in Italy (The Italian hotels don’t serve good breakfast - use to be coffee, a croissant or toasts and nothing more); Different kinds of the breeds, different croissants, jellies, butter, Philadelphia cheese, yogurts, whole grains, corn flakes, excellent coffee, juice, some fruit, cheeses, hams, salame, honey, some vegetables, eggs………. Buffet style and believe me, the best in Italy.

Just a thing, the hotel doesn’t have the label/signal/etiqueta/cartel of PLEASE DONT DISTURBE or WE WANT TO OVER SLEEP or NO SERVICE FOR TODAY. It is just a small detail and my advisor.

For the 3 nights we have stayed, I would say that I had a pleasant experience, this can be from the staff being very helpful and giving great advice of the local area, the well prepared breakfast every morning and the hotel being efficiently cleaned everyday.

The hotel is located in the middle of the Island. If you want to get a larger choice of restaurant you have to walk or take a car or take the bus.

Smart contemporary design, all squeaky clean, with a great breakfast and really helpful staff. The Lido doesn't really feel like Venice proper, but the calm and spaciousness is a tonic, and you're only a 5-10 minute ferry trip away

Tiny but really aggressive insects descended on us at the nearby beach at dusk. Really irritating bites. Strongly recommend stocking up on preventative and remedial products if you fancy a dip

The hotel and the rooms are spacious, if simple. All very clean and quiet. A few nice touches like Murano glass objects here and there. For breakfast which was included there was a really good choice of different food items. Public transport nearby and frequent - so the centre of Venice on the other island and other islands of the lagoon and also Marco Polo airport in reach within reasonable time. A very few steps from the hotel a gorgeous view of the lagoon and over to St. Marc's Square plus the chance to have a nice walk along there.

I did not succeed in changing the temperature in the room - I couldn't sleep very well, as it was heated too much (I was there at the end of October).

Everything was obviously clean, the bed was comfortable, air-conditioning good and also quiet. My room was spacious for a single one. Located a few minutes by frequent bus service from the ferry terminal, it's close to the beach one side and walks along the lagoon on the other.

Breakfast was disappointing and lacklustre. For what I paid, I expected better than a jug of filter coffee on a hot plate. First down in the morning, I suffered with what I think were the previous day's croissants heated up.

Fabulous location for peace away from the buzz. Only minutes walk from sea side walks and views. Lovely spacious room. Very comfortable and clean with blackout blinds. Great shower room with lovely big fluffy towels. Complementary slippers and toiletries. Additionally the hotel emailed very helpful information about travel. Not just to the hotel but also for visiting the Venice area. Excellent breakfast.

Be aware of limited choices for evening meal within walking distance. But plenty back at the port area.
