Location was good on the quieter edge of Navigli but close by to all the bars and restaurants of the area. The hotel has 4 lifts and the WIFI worked very well. It also has a spa area on the top floor. I opted for the breakfast on one day which had a very good choice of items and very fresh ingredients. The breakfast area was spacious and also has a conservatory area (20 Euros). A buffet is often served from 18:30 for all guests that is complementary if you purchase a drink at the bar. The bar prices for a hotel were very reasonable (5 Euro glass of wine) and there was plenty of lounge space to relax in.

There was a small issue with the air conditioning on arrival but this was resolved by the staff by moving me to another room.

Location was fantastic, all bars and restaurants along the canal within easy walking distance. Fabulous vintage shops and unusual boutiques. Metro on the doorstep also for easy travel into Milan centre.

Tea/coffee choice was very limited in the room but not really an issue as so many options outside.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel in Milan that truly exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the incredibly helpful and professional staff. Every member of the team—from the front desk to housekeeping—was attentive, courteous, and eager to assist with any request. Whether it was providing directions, helping with restaurant recommendations, or arranging transportation, their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident and deeply appreciated. One of the standout features of this hotel is its unbeatable location. Situated just a short walk from Politecnico di Milano, it was the perfect base for my academic and professional engagements. The convenience of being so close to the university saved me a great deal of time and made my daily schedule much more manageable. In addition to its proximity to Politecnico, the hotel is surrounded by a vibrant selection of restaurants and cafés. Whether I was in the mood for a quick espresso, a traditional Milanese meal, or international cuisine, I never had to venture far. The neighborhood is lively yet peaceful, offering a perfect balance of local charm and urban convenience. Another major highlight was the hotel’s closeness to the iconic Duomo di Milano. Being able to stroll to one of the most famous landmarks in the city within minutes was a real treat. I enjoyed several early morning and evening walks to the Duomo, soaking in the stunning architecture and the energy of the surrounding piazza. It added a magical touch to my stay and made sightseeing incredibly accessible. Transportation was also a breeze thanks to the nearby metro station. Just a few steps from the hotel, the metro made it easy to explore other parts of Milan quickly and efficiently. Whether I was heading to a business meeting or planning a day trip, the convenience of the metro station was invaluable. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. It offered all the amenities

Great location in Navigli canal area of Milan. Easy underground parking on 2 floors. Lifts to both, so getting luggage in simple, particularly if you are parked on level -1 as there is a lft directly to the room floors. Rooms properly air conditioned. Reception very helpful (we needed to move rooms so my wife could use a walk in shower.) Despite the lively night atmosphere in the district the very effective double glazed windows kept out all the street noise. Excellent breakfast and you have to eat out in the evening but there are plenty of restaurants and no need to book.

Google maps sent us to the nearby University, one street down. Perhaps more detailed directions would help, particularly as the hotel street has a no entry sign at the main road end!

Art Hotel Navigli is situated in a very hip part of the city, where the Milanese gather in the vast array of bars restaurants and cafes to socialise and eat. It is just off the Grand Navigli river with picturesque bridges and colourful buildings. From Genova station on the other side of the river, it is just 4 stops or 10 mins into the heart of the city. The hotel had a vast array of works of art to suit all tastes, and a guidebook is found in the room, so you can search them out on different floors. The rooms were spacious and accommodated two single beds with ease. Toiletries are high quality and eco and replaced daily. All staff from the bar to the restaurant and main desk were exceedingly helpful, we were remembered and also our preferences to coffee choice etc. The selection at breakfast was unbelievable and catered for all diets, including coeliac, vegan, and carnivores! A juicer was provided along with apples, pears, carrots, celery, turmeric, ginger, etc, so you could make your own cold pressed juice. The hotel provided many lounges both indoor and outdoor, where more works of art are displayed. The fitness suite included TechnoGym equipment, a sauna and steam room, and an outdoor roof terrace to relax. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed every minute. Housekeeping usually serviced our room late afternoon, which is fine if you are going into the city centre for the day but proved problematic if you fancied a day chilling in the hotel.

Almost nothing. Only parking is low height, was frightening to park my mini van 😄

The location is great. You can see a canal from the front of the building. That's where a bunch of restaurants, bars, clubs, stores are as well. There's a train station, maybe 10 minutes away that also makes it easy to travel around the Milan area. The beds were very comfortable. I requested an in-suite massage which I highly recommend for your stay. I got one in the morning and felt refreshed the entire day afterwards. The hotel staff are very accommodating and can provide insight about things in the local area.

I enjoyed everything

The staff who helped us as we had booked the wrong room. We booked room with kid under 1y, while he was 14y... We needed to rebook the room, the staff looked for the best option which was an extra room. Of course it costs us a lot of extra money, but we were able to stay in Milan.

In fact I found it unbelievable I had booked a room with a kid under 1y while on booking.com you mention the age of the kid, so I should never have gotten the option to book that one, or there should have been a message saying "look out, you 14y old son will not be able to stay". Another backdraft on the region (not the hotel) are the bugs and insects next to the river. When it's very hot, there's a mot those and they do bite :)

That neighborhood, Navigli is THE BOMB. Vibrant, fun, TONS of fantastic food places & shops.

I don't know if it's because we booked via Booking.com but we sure got the room location from hell. First floor right over the main entrance and narrow main street. Easy access for listening to every conversation and party into the early morning hours. To top it off, modifying the room's air conditioning must take a degree in programming or a safe cracking skills. Opening the window was a good option, while great for temperature comfort, but even more ability to hear to parties, conversations, 4-5am deliveries and trash collections.
