The room is spacious and clean and well appointed. Breakfast was very nice -- I just wish we'd known it was included in the room rate when we checked in. We bought a couple of rolls for breakfast the first morning and didn't see the small notice in the room about the included breakfast until right before going to bed the second night.

The shower is ridiculous. Why hand the hand-held at waist height, pointing straight out to a short glass panel? Someone with arthritis, or someone like my sister with one arm, can't use it. TOO MANY things lit up during the night. I had to hang a shirt from a sconce to cover all the little lights from the thermostat, etc. We had a room with no wall windows, only two in the ceiling. NO fresh air during a light rain, and not enough darkening from the shades. The room was very bright at night.

We loved the history of the building, our room and its cozy terrace. The staff were very pleasant and the breakfast buffet and menu was lovely.

There was no air conditioning working in our room which seemed to attract the afternoon sun. It was stiflingly hot in the room and could not be cooled for sleep and in Parma it was about 27 degrees during our stay. The staff told us that Italian law dictates air conditioning be switched off in September but this didn’t seem to be the case in other hotels around Italy before or after our stay at this establishment. Be aware, that, unfortunately, it appears the hotel’s location is in a less than desirable area of the city, which obviously can’t be changed. Care should be taken when walking back from the old town/entertainment area after dark especially. No taxis or Uber available.

The hotel was exceptionally appointed- like it was ready for royalty. Walking down the halls felt regal. The marble floors, the ornate chandeliers and wide hallways add to the atmosphere. Our rooms were very large, very comfortable beds, air conditioned and well lit. The bathrooms were oversized, with massive showers for two, excellent lighting and nice toiletries. The breakfast buffet had a wide array of healthy as well as decadent options and service was on point. Parking was easy, protected and on site. Kudos to the front desk staff who made us feel very welcome. I’d definitely stay here again!

There is not much staff for a five-star hotel, although, to be honest, the pricing is also on the low side for a 5-star hotel. The staff was polite but I wouldn't say friendly. For instance, I hauled the luggage up the stairs from our car and the staff only asked whether they could help when the job was already done. Although the breakfast buffet was good, the refill of empty plates and bowls wasn't.

Well decorated hotel, comfortable rooms with enormous size of a bathroom. Coffee machine with capsules is provided in the room. Moreover, they bring complementary cookies in the evening and additional water should you need one. Parking is available both on the territory of the hotel and at the underground parking spot. Personal is most welcoming and ready to assist with any request. Barmen made double size of a drink. Light jazz music playing in the hall. The Real 5 star hotel, highly recommended.

The standing of the hotel is nice. Large property with great garden around. Private parking. The hotel propose good Italian cuisine all home made that we recommend. Friendly and competent staff in line with the standing of the hotel.

Our room was on the ground floor and has a nice volume. Just the bathroom was located in a private basement for which you access through a narrow spiral staircase from the room. Hopefully we were in good physical condition.

This is a lovely hotel in a very quiet location, and the garden and excellent parking facilities are a great bonus. All the staff are very kind and courteous, which makes a stay here a real pleasure. The rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable and the food in the restaurant is delicious. In addition it is only a ten minute walk to cross the river and head to the centre of the city, where the cathedral, the baptistery and the art gallery can be visited, and the shopping is good too!

The room was large, and the shower was huge. Everything is new because the hotel just recently re-opened after an extensive renovation. If you have a car, parking is effortless as they have a very nice underground parking garage. They also have a gated property with surface parking. The location close to everything. Breakfast is very nice with savory and sweet choices. The restaurant is also very good for dinner.

The pillows were uncomfortable. But for two nights it was not a big deal.

Room was amazing, comfortable, clean, with a particular feeling to it as it had the highlight ceiling I have ever seen in a hotel room. Very nice amenities and details, exquisite even. Breakfast was absolutely great. Staff was helpful and nice.

Beautiful, historical hotel! Very well maintained. The bed was comfortable, the room was well-sized, Everything felt clean. We only stayed one night but enjoyed it very much. Would definitely come back! We were travelling by car and their ample parking spaces was very helpful! It's not very close the city centre but that did not bother us as we had a car. :)
