This is a lovely typically Italian hotel. The room was a good size. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom had a good toilet, bidet and sink with a small, but effective shower. The air conditioning worked really well and even at night on a low/quiet setting it was effective. There were slatted shutters on the windows to keep the room cool and also dark at night. There was a small balcony but it was too hot to use it! The hotel’s restaurant provided a simple, but lovely breakfast (pastries, yoghurt, fruit, plus rolls, cheese, ham and eggs). We used the hotel restaurant several evenings as the food was excellent. All the hotel and restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly. We walked to the hotel from the railway station when we arrived and caught a bus nearby to the airport for our return

I did get bitten, but never actually saw or heard a mosquito, as it was very hot the bites were irritating.

I was very satisfied - the room was clean and had all I needed, and the hotel is in a great location between the historic center and the train station, just a short walk from each. There are certainly lots of places in Peschiera that offer a higher standard, but they're way more expensive. As a fairly priced option that you don't need a car for, I think the Hotel Johnson cannot be beaten.

Nothing to complain about considering the value you get for the money you spend. Maybe that I'm not a fan of mandatory 10 am check-outs. I see they also let you check in quite early though, so it's just a pretty early overall routine for a hotel.

The room was nice with good facilities. We had a small balcony overlooking the outdoor seating of the attached restaurant; it was more than adequate for sharing some wine and enjoying the breeze. Italy was blazing hot while we were there; the A/C in the room was up to the job of keeping the room comfortable. The walk from the train station was some 15 hot minutes. When we left, we arranged with the front desk for a taxi (10 euro) to take us back to the station. There is no lift, we had two sets of perhaps 6 steps each, with a landing in between, to get to our room. Breakfast was serve -yourself in the attached restaurant. The restaurant, itself, is pretty good with generous servings! The staff were pleasant and helpful. The old town is a 10 minute walk. The town was packed with locals and with Italian tourists who were enjoying the first several days of September (and the end of summer). The bus to Simione is by the harbor in the old town. Verona is a short train ride away.

Not a big deal, but knowledge of some basic Italian and a bit patience with the English of some of the staff helped. Again, the staff were pleasant and helpful.

The location is good. Very near to the train station. But if you are walking from the train station, i find it a bit difficult to cross the roads as the cars were all speeding and there were no traffic light or zebra crossing. Anyway, it is near to the bus stop that goes to Sirmione but the bus stop in the direction of Verona was much further away, in the city center, 10-15min walk away. The breakfast was ok, it was the basic toast croissant, hard boiled egg, yogurt

When i reached, it was the old guy who couldnt speak English who was on shift. It was difficult to communicate with him. I tried to ask him how to adjust the air conditioner because the ink on the remote was all faded, so I cant tell what button is for what. He tried to ignore me because he didnt know what im asking or he didnt know how to answer. I have no idea which one but anyway, it wasn’t pleasant being ignored. But at other timings, i see that their receptionists could speak good English.

Excellent location right across from the marina, very easy to walk into the main town and around Lake Garda. Walking distance from train station, bus stops and ferry. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and breakfast provided was tasty.

The location is awesome. The Hotel is very clean, the staff were really nice and there was real quiet.

Breakfast should consist of some more varieties not all week the same selection.

Location was ideal to get to and from the train station and a short walk from the lake and town centre. The hotel bar and restaurant were great and most of the staff were friendly. The room was fine for the short stay.

The hotel is a little dated in facilities.

It was clean and comfortable, great value for money and the staff were friendly. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely book again if I was to return. Certainly deserves another star.

Friendly staff and well priced in a good location near railway and the marina, also with an attached pizza restaurant.

Basic decor and fitout, no frills, and no fridge. A little farther from supermarkets down the other end of town.
