We absolutely adored our stay at Villa San Lucchese. For a start, the photos don’t give it justice! We didn’t expect much and were very pleasantly surprised as soon as we drove through the gate. It is a beautiful, family run hotel, surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. The grounds are very well maintained and the pool area was great addition to our stay, especially during the very hot July. The staff are extremely friendly. Stefano was extremely helpful when we decided to extend our stay, despite their busiest time and Marco made our breakfast time special. Both rooms we stayed at were very spacious and with amazing views of the valley! Rooms are air conditioned with good quality lines and towels. I cannot complete the review, without mentioning the restaurant. It serves traditional dishes and once again the views from the restaurant’s terrace were amazing! Huge thanks to Gerardo and Tanja for their hospitality. We’re definitely planning to stay there again on our next trip to Tuscany.

Everything was perfect- it’s unfortunate VS Lucchese is so far from Sydney, we’d be regular visitors!!

A family owned renovated old palace turned out to be a dream-hotel. In the heart of Tuscany. All the clichés and fantasies of this sentence come to life Around the main building a beautiful garden very well kept. An amazing stuff. Starting with Marco the owner was so authentically friendly. It is obvious that he really love to host and his friendliness is really genuine. It goes down the staff his aunt that prepares amazing variety of cakes for breakfast and =the people in the desk – especially Lorenzo who was so patient gave us useful tips and assisted us with everything. The location is perfect – San Gimingano sienna Chianti region with numerous little authentic towns. Florence or Pisa is less than an hour drive and nearby village you can find all that us necessary – supermarket, laundry, good pizza. Value for money is excellent. Rooms are spacious, conferrable, and perfectly clean, and above all is the good filling and attitude of the people who run and operate this magnificent spot

The location and tranquility were lovely. The family running the hotel were nice and friendly. It’s very relaxed and laid back.

There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. In the high price end for the facilities and offerings in terms of f&b. The restaurant food wasn’t the greatest, and could have been so good in such a beautiful setting but unfortunately the meals we had were all overcooked. (Lamb and steaks)

The building has been housing for nuns long time ago, now opened as a hotel. Nice pool area, restaurant with a very nice menu and vine list. Big rooms, newly renovated bathrooms. Great stop on our way from Dolomites to Rome. Great personell, friendly and welcoming.

The doorways and some of the public areas might need some renovation, but still some charm with the old carpets and dark colors.

Location, very calm and beautiful place to rest and get out of the crowd. In a few minutes we have we need in reach. The kindness and hospitality of all the staff,without exception, was really amazing and they really care genuinely about their guests and will put all the effort to help and solve your problem. Next time I hope to have more days to visit all the surroundings that were pending this time.

This hotel is set in a beautiful garden, with a big pool that was our savior during those hot July days. The restaurant has a sweeping view over the valley. The rooms are big and the mattresses very comfortable. Some of the bathrooms are brand new, some still need a bit of updating, which looks like is done step by step. The hotel exudes old fashioned Italian charm, but its biggest asset are the wonderful people who work there. The owner/manager makes delicious coffee himself in the breakfast room and always has a smile on his face. Everyone is very warm and welcoming, from the front desk, to the breakfast crew, to the young man who makes up the rooms and the restaurant team. They were all outstanding and made our stay a great experience. We loved our stay at Villa Lucchese!

Exceptional staff, all so friendly and helpful. Haute cuisine for evening meals and Gérard, the maitre d is a gem, so discreet and knowledgeable. Quiet location in beautiful countryside and ideal for visits to San Gimignano and Siena.a

A car is needed as taxis are few and far between. American groups staying were loud and lacked consideration for other guests

The history and scenery of this Villa were so special and beautiful. The staff were amazing with a special thank you to Ginevra and Stephano. They made us feel so special. The breakfast was lovely with the owner welcoming us and making coffees. They made you feel like you belonged there. I highly recommend this Villa and hope to be back soon. Thank you for everything.
