Absolutely amazing! Super nice pool, very well located – a bit away from the center so very relaxed. The view from the garden/pool is very, very beautiful. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the rooms clean and perfectly sized. We will definitely come back one day.

Room was bright, immaculately clean, very comfortable with a view like a painting over vineyards and hills. The pool was amazing and had loads of sunbeds in sun or shade. Essential after the heat of the day. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the ladies made beautiful cappuccino. The hotel is also on the local bus route SG1, so don't pay a fortune for a taxi as I did on arrival at the square, catch the SG1 bus to Le Mosse. You'll see the hotel sign on the right, just before a roundabout. Takes about 10 minutes. It was really nice to stay just out of SG, especially when it was so hot. Cooler in the countryside.

Only drawback is there's nowhere nearby for dinner, so you have to go back into San Gimignano. Which is a bit of a schlepp if you're on local transport like me, just so you can eat.

Location with great landscape views and within 20 minutes walk from centre of San Gimignano. Very nice swimming pool and relax area around it. Recommend daytrip by train to Siena, also visit dome of San Gimignano and book a classical wine tasting at the closeby Cezani winery.

We really liked the well groomed garden and the pool area. You have a wonderful view over the tuscany hills and San Gimignano. The rooms are not that big but cozy and the bed was very comortable. In our room was a fly screen against the mosquitos witch was very helpful. All in all we really enjoyed our stay.

The only thing we thought was kind of strange were the two women working at the hotel, especially one of them was not really friendly (i don't know if they own the hotel or if they are just working there) but we did not feel very welcome. First we thought she didn't really like us but then we noticed she was like that with eyerybody.

We loved this charming hotel which is beautifully located to take in the countryside over the region of San Gimignano. The rooms are spotlessly clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Located just outside the walled town the hotel is quiet and restful after a day of sightseeing yet only a short walk if you want the restaurants in San Gimignano. There is a pool which would be welcome in warmer weather and an outside area overlooking the view where you can enjoy a drink. Breakfast is offered inside or on a courtyard at the front of the building however there is no other dining or room service available at the property. This was not a problem to us as there are plenty of options close by. We would definitely choose to stay at Hotel San Michelle again.

this hotel is the best place to stay in Tuscany. amazing views from the pool. San gimignano is the most amazing old town which is only 5 min drive away. and it’s perfect location as a base to visit other towns. highly recommend. loved the place. San gimignano is far better than staying in Siena. comfortable, peaceful and green. room was spacious and clean. bed was comfortable. good shower too. book without hesitation.

Beautiful location, set in the hills with a 15-20 min walk to San Gimignano. The picnic area is a great idea, we sat in the garden on our second evening and had a delicious meal of fresh bread, cheese, nectarines and a shared a bottle of red wine, bought from the local supermarket. The pool was clean and refreshing for a swim in the morning. Comfortable bed and great shower, traditional Italian breakfast and good wifi, car park and the owners were friendly and helpful. What more could you want.

Very nice place to explore Toscany. Very clean and comfortable, nice breakfast with very good Italian coffee. All the facilities available.

Beautiful property, beautiful view and great location. The rooms are comfortable, modern and well equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful as well. The hotel is a short walk from town providing some great relaxation. Would highly recommend!

The hotel is well maintained, with nice comfy beds and a good breakfast. The swimming pool and grounds are beautifully kept. Helpful management.
