I thought this was a perfect place for me to stay on a brief visit to Rome. Just days before traveling to Rome I changed my lodging from a spot closer to the Roma termini to this venue. It was a great choice! -Walkable to everything I wanted to see. -Easy access to get inside -Great customer service and communication. -Upon request, the host left breakfast for me as I had a very early morning flight… Much appreciated! -It can be a little bit loud because of the marble floors, heavy traffic, and the skeleton keys to get into the respective rooms are somewhat noisy - so just be advised and play White Noise on your cell phone during the night! I would stay here again! I really enjoyed this location and the breakfasts were outstanding ! The host also provided me with recommendations of places to eat . This location is also close to lots of restaurants and a grocery store and plenty of churches, of course!

My recent stay at Domus Getsemani was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for a treat. The breakfast spread at Domus Getsemani is a food lover’s dream. From freshly baked pastries to hearty breakfast sandwiches, there’s something for everyone. The location couldn’t be better situated. It’s conveniently close to the renowned Vantican Musuem, as well as public transportation, making it a breeze to explore the city. Whether you’re heading to the historic district or catching a train to the outskirts, you’re just steps away from the action. The staff also deserve a standing ovation. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist. Whether I needed directions or recommendations for nearby historic interests, they went above and beyond to make my stay memorable.

breakfast had a choice of fruit, pastries, yoghurts and tea, coffee and juices. Coffee is prepared by the staff and is very good. Room was big, comfortable and very clean. It was facing the street but was not that loud if you live in a city. It was around 20 mins away from the Vatican on foot and the furthest landmark is the Colosseum which took around 1.5 hours relaxing walk by the river to arrive (including stopping to admire the scenery and take pictures). WIFI was great with full connection. Property is on top of a hill accessible by a steep hill from the Vatican side or stairs from the metro (Cipro) side. Staff was very helpful and cordial and check in process was VERY easy. They let us keep the luggage before and after check in and out times without paying. I will stay in the same property when I visit Rome again.

The beverages vending machine has bad cappuccino and espresso so I suggest to take a travelling kettle if you like to have a coffee in your room.

This is a charming very Italian guesthouse. I loved it and felt at home straight away. My room over looked the scene in the photo. The staff were kind and always welling to help. There was tea available 24/7 in the breakfast room. Breakfast was very Italian and I enjoyed it. The front of the building faces the wall to the Vatican and on a relatively busy road so I never felt unsafe. I walked everywhere but there is a bus stop a few doors down the road (bus 49).

I liked it all!!! When the hairdryer in my room didn't work they gave me another to use.

Spotlessly clean . Shower cubicle size ok but doors can be a bit tight to get through for those of us less slim than we would like to be until you get used to it all but good strong power shower that heats up well. Good wifi . Breakfast was exceptional . Danish pastries ,criossants, freshly baked fruit tart fruit, fruit juice,cereal, ham rolls ,tea , coffee and more than plenty of it all and served with a smile and genuine desire to keep us all happy

The staff we're absolutely fantastic and accommodating. Really friendly and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and happy. Room size and view may not be 5 star but I didn't book here for those reasons so I'm satisfied. This is an excellent option for a budget hotel.

It was a little bit nerve wracking getting in and out using passcodes and keys but I managed okay and makes it easy to check in after hours.

Its within the Vatican city area so accessible to the Vatican Museum, leisurely good 6 minutes walk. The place was gated and secured. Prompt & consistent time availability for daily breakfast. Clean facilities.

The bedroom door lock makes a loud noise everytime you lock & unlock it, quite annoying to other guests..it has an uphill/downhill outside grounds.. tight staircase and its steps not suitable carrying heavy luggage.

I liked that it was very clean, tidy, staff very accomadating. It was also very secure, pin numbers to get in the main gate, and reception door outside of reception hours.

I didn't like that you had to pay tourist tax, pay to get clean towels, and that you had to supply your on toilet paper once the one roll was all used up.

decent guest house. good free light breakfast. the a/c unit in the room also gives heat

it's REALLY far from the center of rome (10 min walk to the subway and then 10 min subway ride, or 40-50 minute walk). poor sound insulation in room. Tourist tax must be paid in cash on arrival (small sum, but it's annoying)

The location was nice and quiet, close to the Vatican (~10-15 minute walk) which is what I needed for this stay. The room was comfortable and I felt very safe and cozy during my holiday visit to Rome.

Not very soundproofed--could hear doors closing, TVs, and people talking. This didn't bother me too much for a short stay, but if you're looking for a silent place to stay, this won't be it.
