From the moment that we stepped into the hotel, the staff did everything to make us feel comfortable. The room was so nice and quiet. Very good food and service at the restaurant. The hotel is truly a beautiful little gemstone in the heart of Rome. Thank you so much for a lovely stay, we will definitely return.

The property was spotless, the rooms were gorgeous. The service staff would restock the room almost three times a day so there was always fresh juice or water and clean towels. The staff is probably one of the best staff I have ever interacted with. They were kind, responsive and happy to always assist. It was truly impressive for a hotel that size. The food was outstanding as well. One of the best 5-star stays I have had anywhere in the world.

There wasn’t any that was negative. Some might find the location and crowds a lot in high season, but you are in the middle of the old part of Roman and I never had any issues with car service or pick up from the hotel because they have staff members constantly there to immediately help you.

What an awesome place, prime location, A++ staff. Ivan greeted us when we arrived and was so great during our whole stay. On our second night we woke up around 2 am from jet lag and decided to go see the Trevi Fountain without a crowd (pro tip) - Fabricio was downstairs and when we returned a little hungry he brought some chips and chocolate up to our room. If you've gotten used to hotels charging for every little detail you'll love Maalot Roma - they go above and beyond. Complimentary cold beverages always in the room, snacks as well. Larger than typical room size in our experience. One tip - we had a 3rd floor room facing the front of the hotel. This location is prime for visiting all the sites and this also means it can be very busy with foot-traffic outside, we travel a small sound machine for situations like this and it solved that issue. Great AC in the rooms! When it was time to go the taxi was about 20 minutes late and the staff was very pro-active with our bags, calling the car and making sure we were in the right place. All around highly recommend. Thanks to the kitchen, service and housekeeping staff for a great stay.

Maalot Roma was our choice of hotel in Rome—our final stop—after a 20-day vacation in France and other parts of Italy. It was our first time here but it was the best hotel of all the places we stayed. Here are reasons why: 1. The communication with and service from the hotel staff was the best. Quality customer service from people who see their work as a critical component of the guest experience. It didn’t feel like they saw it as just a job but as their passion: to create a home away from home for their guests. Check in while you get a welcome drink is a wonderful introduction I wish all hotels did this. 2. The hotel is beautiful and well located. Another hotel, The Excelsior, is also a nice hotel in good location but I prefer the Maalot. It is more interesting, has a more youthful energy, beautiful in a more creative way, and a while in the center near Trevi, the hotel is quiet, both common areas in the guest rooms. 3. Amenities are top quality. From the bedding to slippers to towels, full size toiletries, everything was consistent with the style and brand of high end luxury. 4. Breakfast was the best of all hotels we stayed. Custom made to order with additional treats.

The front door opens to a pedestrian only walkway, means taxis cannot stop right in front, making baggage handling difficult. However, if you coordinate transport with hotel, the wonderful staff will assist with luggage to the vehicle.

Our stay at Hotel Maalot in Rome was truly exceptional. The location, just steps from the Trevi Fountain, couldn’t have been more perfect—right in the heart of the city yet wonderfully peaceful inside. From the moment we arrived, Ivan welcomed us with such warmth and treated us like family, instantly making us feel at home. The hotel itself was absolutely charming, with elegant, thoughtfully designed interiors that combined classic Roman character with modern style. Our room was beautiful and incredibly comfortable, especially the bed, which was a true haven—something I particularly appreciated as I had caught a heavy cold just before travelling and really needed the rest. Breakfast was another highlight, with everything made to order, fresh, and delicious—served in a sophisticated restaurant setting that matched the hotel’s overall elegance. The staff throughout were attentive, kind, and always one step ahead, making every moment of our stay feel personalised and special. Hotel Maalot isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience we won’t forget, and we’re already looking forward to our return.

what i like about this stay - 1. superb location - so convenient for walking around and going to the Trevi fountain 2. functioning and spacious elevator - difficult to come by in Rome for some reason 3. very responsive on booking for pre-trip communication 4. room is super bright - which is a nice surprise especially for Europe 5. so so clean!! out of all 13 hotels we stayed at during our 35-day Euro trip, this hotel was the CLEANEST! 6. people are super helpful and kind 7. the shower is so so so well designed!!! We almost always stay at 5-star hotels no matter where we travel to - it surprisingly hard to encounter a shower that's functional. Good water pressure + non-stop hot water + plenty of spaces to place my own personal care products + good ventilation in room to get rid of the steams after shower + shower door that doesn't leak water + shower bright enough to be safe + mirror big and bright enough for makeup. this bathroom was a 10 out of 10.

ok still some downsides..... 1. even though this location is so convenient for walking around - this is in an area difficult for cars to reach so beware of this if you use a lot of uber to get around. 2. the room we stayed at was pretty small - even though no problem opening our suitcases, it's still a little squishy for the 2 of us. 3. there's not really a lobby area for people to chill or hang out, the lobby also functions as their restaurant so it feels a little weird.

Hotel Maalot is a total standout gem and my favorite hotel in Rome. Everything is impeccable, from the central location right by the Trevi fountain (which I love passing by and saying hello to every time I leave and return to the hotel!) to the gorgeous rooms with unparalleled design, and the outstanding hospitality where every team member truly goes above and beyond. Housekeeping was prompt, thoughtful, and seamless. Breakfast is a beautiful and attentive affair - and the F&B manager is so delightful and clearly has such passion for her work! It was a joy meeting every member of this incredible place, which feels more like a 2nd home to me than a "hotel". I love interior decor and design and so fully appreciate their decor which is beautiful and tasteful - modern with a nod to classic Italian styles. But what is truly unbeatable is the people - the entire team is so wonderful and helpful. I truly felt so taken care of and had an incredible seamless experience. I have been to Rome 5 times, and this was my 2nd stay at Maalot because they left such an impression the 1st time - and after this 2nd amazing return stay, they have sealed the deal and I will not be going anywhere else. They also wow'd my partner who I was so excited to introduce to the Maalot this time. I travel globally often and this is a very unique place. Of all the places we stayed all over Italy, this was #1. Special shout out and big thanks to Jonida the manager for taking extra good care of me - including an unexpected knockout deluxe room set aside for me, and snagging coveted sold out tickets to the Borghese Gallery! I can't wait to return again.

nothing at all!

We were really impressed with this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff sets it apart from many places. The location is amazing - a few minutes walk from Trevi Fountain and less than ten to the Pantheon. Despite being right in the middle of a tourist area, you felt calm and away from it all as soon as you stepped into the hotel. A stylish oasis. We had an issue with our suite and the staff quickly moved us into an upgraded suite, without fuss. We felt incredibly welcome there and would certainly go back. Breakfast was great and our lunches were tasty. Drinks good too. We didn't use the gym as we were really in the city to explore the history. But really the thing that I will remember the most is the friendliness of the team there.

We didn't love every dish that we had for lunch but overall the food was some of the best we experienced in Rome. Otherwise nothing negative to say!

The rooms were beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable, offering stunning views and thoughtful amenities. The facilities were world-class.Every corner of the hotel radiated sophistication and relaxation, making it the perfect getaway. If you’re looking for unparalleled hospitality, comfort, and a truly memorable experience, this hotel is the place to be. Can’t wait to return!
