Our stay at Domus Terenzio this November was nothing short of wonderful. The location is unbeatable – just a 10-minute walk from the Vatican, 5 minutes from the majestic Castel Sant’Angelo, and conveniently a minute away from the Sit Shuttle Bus station for easy airport access. One of the highlights was the flexibility with check-in times. Arriving early in the morning could have been a hassle, but the accommodating reception made it seamless. The receptionist greeted us with warmth and was incredibly informative, providing valuable insights about the neighborhood. Our room was a delight – spacious, clean, and boasting a charming balcony with views of a inner garden. The thoughtful amenities, including an iron, toothbrushes, and a hairdryer, added to the comfort, while the AC was a welcome feature to ward off the chill on our first day. Breakfast at Domus Terenzio was super lovely. The buffet spread featured a vast array of both savory and sweet options, complete with fresh omelettes and other hot dishes, and even plant-based milk options. The service was impeccable, thanks to the super friendly and attentive lady overseeing the breakfast area. A special mention must go to the staff's integrity. After accidentally leaving behind 250 EUR in cash hidden in the room, we only realized days later. Upon contacting the hotel, not only did they find the money, but they also transferred it back to us immediately, no questions asked. Their honesty and trustworthiness are truly commendable, and we are immensely grateful. Thank you, Hotel Domus Terenzio, for an unforgettable visit. We couldn't recommend you highly enough!

Our room was spotless. It is not a luxury hotel. It is a clean, wonderfully located (Vatican, metro, restaurants), functional room with excellent air conditioning. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast included scrambled eggs and continental breakfast stuff. Perfect spot for Vatican tours. 15 minutes walk to Vatican Museum and SaInt Peter’s Basilica. Also the old fort on the river and two beautiful bridges crossing the Tiber River.

Excellent Location for visiting the Vatican. Rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. The stocked refrigerators were a nice surprise. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was very nice! The breakfast was simple but well put together and the service was excellent! The staff at the desk was very accommodating, friendly and helpful! Overall - we loved this property!

The outdoor space could use a little sprucing up. It's a little shabby out there. Of course, if you are spending too much time in the courtyard and not exploring Rome then you're doing it all wrong!

Can't say enough great things about our stay here. The staff was super friendly and accommodating! Even held our luggage after check out so we could roam the city until it was time to get on our train. There's a small 10 minute walk to the metro and that'll connect you anywhere you need to be in Rome. We were also a very short walk from Vatican City as well. Breakfast and cappuccinos were great and the very nice lady who served us was wonderful! If we visit Rome again I would absolutely return here to stay.

Beds were too hard for my liking but that seems to be a normal occurrence in Italy. Getting inside was a little confusing but once you figure out it's in a shared building it's easy to navigate!

We had an amazing stay at Domus Terenzio, the rooms are exactly like on the pictures, the aircon is a must when visiting Rome in the summer, the breakfast is delicious (all the cold cuts, cheese is hand cut every morning), the staff is so friendly, and the location is perfect just 10 minutes walk to the Vatican and 25 minutes walk to Trevi fountain, Spanish Stairs, Pantheon, etc. Metro is also close and also bus station to take the shuttle to the airport which is the cheapest option! There’s also a supermarket and restaurants around the place! This will now be my go to place when I visit Rome!

All is perfect! Just the hotel is hard to find the first time cuz it’s inside an appartement building but once you know it it’s easy!

Centrally located, safe, very clean, staff was very attentive, helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay superb! Breakfast was exceptional and the one day we missed the cutoff time by 30 minutes, our host Lucia went out of her way to make us cappuccinos and breakfast to go…even helped us carry everything to our room. Walk to Vatican was 10 minutes, Pantheon 20 minutes, and Trevi Fountain 30 minutes…no car or cab needed.

Cannot think of anything we didn’t like. We will stay here again and recommend to all of our friends!

The hotel is owned and run by a small group of women, who do a fantastic job. They are really kind, friendly, helpful and they keep the hotel spotlessly clean. We had the basement room on the street side and it wasn't as bad as other reviews are suggesting: the room was comfortable and the street is quiet during night time. We enjoyed the breakfast but couldn't make use of the garden in December: it should be lovely during warmer day. 15 minutes away from public transport and the Vatican in a nice neighbourhood with luxury shops and good restaurants. We will be back!

Perfect location. Some quarters from Vatican, with silent & safety vicinity offering prestigious real property. Clean enough (at less for Rome). Domus is ideally located for transfer from Fiumicino airport by SIT bus (bus stop at Via Crescenzio in some 150 m from property) and for usage of city buses & metro (5 min by walking). Very clean property. Fast & helpful reception. Housekeeping every day. And the best is very good breakfast for Italy (tea/coffee, cereals & milk, fruits, cheese & ham, eggs, yoghurt, omelet, bacon and sausages + different pastry). Very pleasant and responsive staff (kitchen & housekeeping, especially Lucia).

We lived at base floor and tit is small window there (but it usually is norm). The floor is stone so little bit cold (it would be perfect to provide slippers).

We had a wonderful experience at Domus Terenzio! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making this a great start to our vacation. They were always happy to call a taxi when we needed one, and the breakfast each morning was a delicious way to begin the day. The location is ideal — we were able to walk to most of the sights on our list, and if you’re visiting the Vatican, it’s just a short walk away. We highly recommend Domus Terenzio for its warm service, convenient location, and comfortable stay!

We got an exceptional welcome from Sveta (Lucia) in the hotel. We never experienced such a personal and heartwarming reception in any of the hotels in Rome and around the world we stayed in the past. Sveta helped us with every small detail including preparing plentiful packed breakfast for our early departure in the morning and arriving early to help us with the taxi to the airport. The best treatment ever and we felt like we stayed at the welcoming family home. Definitely recommend Domus Terenzio as an ultimate accommodation in Rome and will stay there again next times.
