The lovely staff and amazing quality of room with exceptional bathroom, bed, coffee maker. Had a nice little terrace within our room (although not with any kind of nice view, just look out to the roof) as well as larger shared terrace (again not with a view but still nice). Enjoyed being close to the brilliant restaurants in Testaccio, being close to the river Tiber and only 30 mins walk to a lot of attractions.
It was very noisy, both from the neighbouring street and internally. With the walls and door being quite thin you can hear the buzzer at reception very loudly as well as when guests walk through the corridor. The other issue was the air conditioning - we were so hot in the night but couldn’t turn it on. We asked reception and apparently the heating is centrally controlled by the building so we couldn’t change anything. This combined with the noise meant we slept pretty terribly.

I like hotel quality, comfy bed, very spacious room, balcony. It was quiet. Amazing local market 1minute walk. Hotel location not for lazy people, you need to walk a little bit. We walked from Hotel to Colosseum in 40minutes, to metro Piramide station 15min. McDonalds 1min walk. Value of money was the best in this region. 25m2 room size. It was not noisy like people writing, i sleep very well. it was coffee machine and cattle in the room, wifi was not perfect but fine. I like door code system, easy access home, no need any keys. I like reception that it is.
not recommend breakfast for 30eur for two it is little bit expensive. Near located kafe, on Market place also nice kafe. Water for coffee machine did not refiled every day, just at the first day the same with coffee capsules. Location is good only for active people, you need to walk a lot, but it is not a minus, it is Rome- great and beautiful.

This hotel is located in a really great area if you're looking to be away from the crowdedness of Rome central but love to have the buzz of good restaurants and bars around. I really liked this area a lot, it felt safe and the area of the hotel also felt safe. Inside: the bed is comfy, nice decor and a great bathroom. I stayed here alone for 3 nights and had a great time.
I found the experience with having to use Sonder's own digital platforms (website or app) for checking in very tedious and annoying. I don't understand why they made it so difficult and if you are on the go it is very inaccessible. I really didn't understand why it was necessary as you already have to fill in so much information on booking.com -- another thing is that this hotel is basically just one really long corridor, which means that if you're on the side between reception (in the middle) and elevator (front) you will have some noise complaints if you go to bed early or get up late. It wasn't too bad but maybe nice to know // nicer to stay in the back.

The hotel is super nice. Very clean, spacy big room with nice bathroom and a nice big balcony. Plus are the electric shutters, the self check-in and the padlocks (no need for access card or key). Testaccio is a very nice neighborhood if you want to experience Rome as a local.
The location is perfect if you want to experience a local vibe of Rome, but transport to the city center is not easy at all. The breakfast options and variety could be better.

It was located in a neighbourhood with all local people not a lot of tourists. This hotel was very new so everything was fresh! Very well located to transit and sites. 15 min walk to Travestere.
We needed one more night later in the month on our way back to Canada but as the staff was so new, when I asked to book it direct at the hotel, the girl didn’t know how to do it. When I went to book on line for the one night, it was 3X’s as much so we booked elsewhere.

This was my second stay at the property. This time, I was assigned unit #11, which is located right by the entrance hallway. Unfortunately, it was quite noisy due to the building's poor soundproofing. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection in this room was weak, a problem I did not encounter during my previous stay in a different unit.

We had a really pleasant stay at Sonder Testaccio. The place was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing—super kind, helpful, and always easily reachable. While the location wasn’t extremely central, it was well-connected, which we actually preferred in the end. It allowed us to easily visit the main tourist spots while also enjoying the charm of our neighborhood. There are also fantastic restaurants, cafés, and museums around the hotel.
I believe the hotel walls were not thick enough, as it was quite noisy in the room on some days. It was possible to hear everything happening around—both in the neighborhood and sometimes in the next rooms. I assume the hotel is aware of this issue and working on it, as they provided earplugs in our room.

The size of the room and the bathroom were excellent with plenty of storage and it was nice to have a bathroom cabinet as well as drawers. Good to have a balcony but the ones on the back don't have any view but was nice to be able to have the space to sit out. There is free coffee, tea and water all day which is good to have. I didn't have breakfast so couldn't comment on that. Overall it was a good place to stay and compared to some of the prices in Rome it was good value, quite easy to access all the sights via public transport and/or walking with some nice restaurants for dinner.

The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Room was very spacious. I enjoyed the breakfast very much, and the coffee machine and water machine that was available throughout the day. Staff was always available to help with questions. I particularly liked the storage lockers available where we could store our suitcase on the day of check-out since my departure was later in the day. Also, my sister had an issue with the strong cologne of a guest staying next to our room. After bringing it up to the staff, the next day the smell was gone. Thanks to the helpful staff for addressing this promptly!
Location was not very central but with a short walk you could reach public busses which takes you to your destination.

Really modern, comfortable and clean hotel. The rooms (King) are a decent size. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean, modern and reasonably specious. WIFI was good. The shower was fairly powerfull too. Location-wise, this is out of the main toursist areas - which is why we chose it. Trains, buses and trams are not far away. We walked into the centre most days (30 mins). It's also a 20 min walk to Trastevere. The area around the hotel is nice, and felt very safe. There's a few excellent local restaurants. It's next door to the Testacccio food market, which is a real bonus - there are lots of great places to get breakfast/lunch there. There is a 24 hour McDonalds below the hotel. It's the quietest Maccies i've ever seen - nearly empty a lot of the time - but you can still get some noise from drunk visitors late at night. It didn't disturb us much. Most places in Rome will be noisy. I would stay here again.
Not much. The air con isn't available until May, so we slept with the patio door open every night, which meant additional street noise. But, it didn't disturn us too much. With the door shut, it was pretty quiet.
