The bar. The bar was excellent. Custom cocktails, great advice, and friendly service. And not badly priced for the experience. The bartender is a true asset to the hotel. The setting is incredible. Few hotels can bost anything like the setting. Breakfast is good if not especially varied. The decor is fitting, and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming, as well as being efficient. Loads of storage in the room. Room was also very large. The restaurant had a great menu and the wine pairings were excellent.

The room decor is a bit random and all over the place. The fact that the lift directly down to the bathing facilities was out of order was a bit of a shame, as was the rockfall which had cut off our favourite place to sunbathe. The latter, of course, is no fault of the hotel. The shower could be much better in terms of both pressure and temperature.

The views are spectacular. The service was great. Breakfast is exceptional with so many choices, At dinner I received my first amuse bouche. The star for us was the bar tender Pietro. He was engaging and knowledgeable. He answered questions from sightseeing to history. He also made an amazing Hugo spritz. The stunning view from the outside dining is a must experience. There is a park and trail behind the hotel. The trail leads to an amazing overvuewof the sea and the sea pool. All this in a romantic, elegant, old world setting.

This hotel is just simply beautiful. What a wonderful place. Staff were nice. Great location with an elevator to get from the hotel to the Main Street (avoids the hill walk). Stunning views from all over. Nice restaurant on site for great food and drinks. Very enthusiastic bar man. Clean and tidy rooms. Overall a wonderful stay. Next time we will be staying longer

Beautiful property and very welcoming staff.

There was no pool. The pool was a “natural” pool and you have to pay extra to use it. The color of the water was not what i expected … due to fhe reflection of the rocks, a dark blue/gray, not the beautiful turquoise color Portofino is famous for.

Good place in Sestri , but there are some better.

We ask facilits to old people - they dont have any , everything is difficult. When I asked about this , they could say the true and we could looking for another hotel

Beautiful seaside property with a private beach and Michelin rated restaurant. Lovely architecture and grounds. It has a private beach which is rather small. And the “pool” is an area of water in the ocean by the beach. It’s a very nice facility. I wish the mattress was more comfortable but that seems to be an issue in many places in Italy

I think it’s fine to have to pay extra to use the beach but hotel guests should be able to access the water in the “pool” for free

Wish you had alternate dinner options that aren’t so expensive and fancy. Maybe lower level is fancy and upper level is more of a cafe menu. Room doors and windows weren’t soundproof. We heard a lot of outside noise.

The location is exclusive and private. Easy connection to the city using the hotel's private elevator going down to the beach. The rooms are stylish, the breakfast selection is large and the meals are delicious. The hotel is surrounded by a large and well-maintained park.

Very nice hotel. I didn't realize it was a castle! The elevator to the tunnel is super fun! Location and views - both excellent!

Room decor matched that of a castle. Maybe update that, but overall it was a very nice hotel.
