We arrived around 3 1/2 hours before check-in but were able to leave our bags and were also served fresh coffee. The room we were allocated was not as we had expected and much smaller with a fold-out camp bed which was really not suitable for a 3rd adult. I highlighted this to Elena on reception and she explained there was no other availability. We agreed to accept the room but explained we were not happy as it was not as per the pictures or terms booked. We were able to check-in around and hour before official check-in. The next morning at breakfast, Elena approached me and said she had an alternative room available, did we want to see it. This alternative room was much bigger and the third bed was a proper single bed in a 'partitioned' area of the main room. This was much more suitable for our needs so we moved rooms straight away. Elena was very helpful and friendly. The lady who served breakfast every morning was also very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was continental style with the option of boiled eggs. There was a wide variety of fresh pastries and cakes, toast, pancakes, jams and spreads, yoghurt, cereal, cold meats and cheeses, a variety of fruit juice and if you didn't want the tea or coffee in flasks you can also get espresso cappuccino etc. We left very early on our departure day and the breakfast lady and chef gave us some pastries to take away. The location is perfect - a walk across the road and you are on the fast 6 man chair lift. We didn't use the hotel 'ski locker' as it was just really a room with no proper lockers or security so we used the Rent & Go locker facility below the main lift pass office. For 3 boot & ski lockers it was 75 euros for the week. If you are using your room for sleeping in only and your main interest is snowsports this hotel is ideal.

The hotel is very warm and when we came off the mountain we tended to open the large window that went onto the balcony for fresh air and to let some heat out. We also turned off the radiator in the bathroom. The bar was closed and it would have been nice to be able to have a drink at the end of the day in the hotel bar, instead of our room.

It was clean and super convenient as right across the road from the ski lifts ! We had two rooms 3ppl + 2ppl and everyone was very happy with their set up. We had breakfast there every morning, a real treat and great breakfast food. The staff were just so lovely and helped with everything we asked. They stored our bags for us the first day we arrived as we were there early, and again on our last day as our taxi didn’t come till the afternoon.

The only teeny thing that we felt it was missing was that there was no bar or lounge to go to in the evenings. It would have been nice to pop downstairs for a drink or to sit and read a book (apart from the lobby)

I had a lovely experience staying at Hotel Cristallo and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sestriere. The highlight of my stay was definitely the staff. Luca at reception went above and beyond, helping me order food from a local restaurant for delivery, fixing an issue with the old plugs in the room (which required a special adaptor), and even providing a kettle with tea and cups to make my stay more comfortable. Oksana, who served breakfast, was always cheerful and made sure everything was set up perfectly. The breakfast itself was a treat, with a great selection of pastries, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruit, juices, and delicious coffee on request. The hotel's location is ideal—just a short walk with some steps down to the nearest ski lift, making it very convenient for skiers. While the rooms are a bit dated, they were exceptionally clean, and housekeeping did a great job with fresh towels daily and changing the sheets after the third day. The only downside was the ski storage room, which lacked lockers, so we had to bring our skis and boots back to the room, but it wasn’t a huge inconvenience. Overall, if I ever return to Sestriere, I would definitely choose to stay at Hotel Cristallo again. A great place with outstanding staff and a perfect location!

We stay free night for ski vacation location super good hotel little bit on the old side, the sauna is great, the stuff are very great, smiling and helping and really want to make your stay on the good side (thanks Luca and Elena). The hotel near the center of the city near restaurant. in excellent form ski vacation - near the ski elevator.

Structure is old ..needs a refresh Room was bit dusty, some furniture missing, some light bulbs non working...not what I expect from a 4 stars

Hotel was sadly run as BnB during our stay in March. Fitness facilities only average. Location top, rooms clean, staff super friendly. Would I come again: YES

The staff were great and breakfast was wonderful. We really enjoyed the hot tub. Bathroom super too.

Bed was hard and pillows flats. But did get used to them.
