We had a truly wonderful stay at Romantik Hotel Monteriggioni. From the moment we arrived, Francesco and Francesca made us feel completely at home. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help. Their recommendations for places to eat and visit in the area were absolutely fantastic and added so much value to our Tuscan experience. Breakfast was one of the highlights of each morning full of homemade flavor. Our room was spotless, tuscany Style decorated, and comfortable, just like the rest of the hotel and its beautiful surroundings, which are very well maintained and perfect for relaxing. The location of the hotel, within the walls of Monteriggioni, is unbeatable. It’s ideal for strolling through this charming medieval village and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. We will definitely return. Thank you for everything!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is perfect, and the room was very comfortable and clean. They have private parking, so it’s ideal as you don’t have to park in public parking, which means you have to walk quite a bit. The receptionist was extremely helpful and accommodating, even finding us a room before check-in time. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to excellent restaurants was a huge plus. We were just a few steps away from some great dining options. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we'd recommend this hotel.

If you really want to experience the historical Monteriggioni, this hotel should be the one. It is located inside the wall of the castle which has only 570 meter wide in the main square. When you drive into the gate of the castle, the sunset shining on you makes you feel the magic moment. One of the most important reasons is that the size is relatively smaller compared to other old castles and towns. You really feel the peace and beauty. This is very unique experience compared to staying at a five-star castle hotel:)

We had a large first floor room. It was perfect for our needs. The breakfast was equal to the best we have had in Italy and much better than most . The location has several very good restaurants within steps of the hotel. The restaurants offer a variety of local specialties as well as some new approaches to Tuscan food. Great wine options. The staff was very nice and helpful. Would highly recommend spending a few days just to relax and enjoy the location.

A unique place, with a wonderful, personal service and a beautiful garden in Monteriggioni. A good base in Monteriggioni for trips to Siena and the towns and villages close by. We recommend Ristorante Le torri in Monteriggioni, reservation ahead recommended (when weather allows, ask for table in front of the restaurant with view to the towns Piazza. We also went to see Verrazano winery (app 45min by car), the wine & food experience they offer (booking online available) is recommendable, great tour, good wine, great food in a very nice setting. Also for a drink or a glass of wine and some cheese/meat platter go to Pit Stop 17, around the corner.

Monterrigioni is a small and the owners have made the most out of the available space but with some limitations, a pool is there, but not for swimming ;-)

Great staff. Very accommodating. Easy parking but do not trust Google maps to get you into the ZTL. You really do drive through that little arch on the South end...once the hotel has the plate number and has called in the ZTL pass.

More instruction from Booking.com for the ZTL would have been useful.

We’d first seen this hotel 16 years ago and I’d always wanted to stay there. We stayed for 4 nights, it was clean, staff very helpful, perfect location. The pool was lovely and refreshing and quiet. Local restaurants all lovely. Good continental breakfast. Lovely view from our room.

Nothing at all, really minor issue hairdryer in bathroom wasn’t great but fine as I’ve only got short hair! The spa by the pool wasn’t in use and just needs cleaning and setting up for the summer - didn’t cause us any issues at all

Amazing location of this hotel in medieval castle. Private Parking lot. Pleasant staff. Erik and Ludovica were very pleasant and very helpful. Breakfast is nice.

The fact that we were not allowed to sit in the lobby or back garden past 23:00-24:00. We were asked to go back to room even though we were sitting quietly in the lobby as didn’t want to be in bed.

Location was fantastic- inside the walled fortress. Tastefully decorated. Breakfast was very good

It was disappointing to have no internet in the room- It would be helpful to have an earlier breakfast seating for guests that need to leave earlier

The staff are so friendly and eager to help. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Stephanie, Francesca and Eric made our stay really memorable.

My only complaint is that at certain times the shower water pressure wasn't great. This is obviously due to the town being so old and probably at the time I tried to shower (peak evening time)
