Our stay at this B&B was absolutely fantastic! The location is perfect, right in the heart of Tuscany’s wine country. The neighborhood itself is beautiful and full of charm, making it the ideal place to explore and relax. The interior has an old-world charm yet is equipped with all the modern amenities we needed — including reliable hot water and every comfort to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The hosts Paolo and Valeria were super friendly and incredibly helpful, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was outstanding — generous, fresh, and with multiple delicious options to choose from each morning. The highlight has to be the terrace with its breathtaking views over the endless vineyards — truly a magical setting to enjoy coffee or wine while soaking in the Tuscan landscape. We would definitely go back and highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Tuscany!

A beautiful place full of personality in a delightful village. We booked only one night and our main motive was breakfast (none of our other holiday accommodation offered it and we wanted to treat ourselves one morning). It did not disappoint. It had it all: from fresh fruit to homemade treats (both sweet and savoury) with incredible Tuscan views all around. Bonus: wonderful restaurants right out of the front door in a charming, lively plaza. The room was huge and had incredible views from both windows. Staying in San Donato was like being in a movie with all the Tuscany clichés. We loved it :) Thank you Valeria, Paolo and Sara!

Paolo and Valerie were great hosts. This is a family run B&B and Paolo and Valerie work very hard to make it a great experience for guests. The town of San Donato is very picturesque and the view from the B&B's terrace is amazing. The daily breakfast spread is also amazing with Paolo making some great coffee and Valerie baking very good fresh cakes everyday. Paolo also went out of his way to arrange a local wine tour in a family run vineyard where we got a chance to interact with the family owners and hear their stories first hand. The people in the town are also very friendly and you should definitely try the Michelin star La Toppa restaurant (which is right next door and not too expensive).

Nothing. Just a tip - we didn't have a car and it was a bit hard to go outside the town since public transport is not that great. But we managed fine with the help of Paolo and Valerie and the locals.

A beautiful bed and breakfast! Charming rooms and hosts made our stay lovely. The village is only walking but that added to the Chianti experience. We went on daily excursions to local cites, but were happy to return to the peaceful countryside. Paolo and Valeria welcomed us into their home, and we loved our tiramisu class with Valeria and aperol spritz by Paolo. We also adored Sara who helped us from missing our own pups at home. We were a family group of eight from USA and Albania, including three children, and everyone enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend staying here…we just need Paolo's aperol spritz secret recipe. We hope to return again! Thank you for a memorable visit. ❤️

Fantastic location in the center of a beautiful middle ages castle town. The owners were very welcoming and managed to organise a last minute, out of season tour of San Donato with a great local guide. The building is a historical government palace with a rich history the owners know in detail.

the only inconvenience is that heating in the main room was through a stove, which needs regular feeding (handled by the staff during the day) and causes a lingering smell of burnt wood (pro or con depends on taste!)

Paolo and Valeria were superstars. They couldn’t have been more helpful. They were warm and welcoming, attentive and considerate, and gave us some great recommendations for towns to visit, car parks to use, restaurants to dine in etc. We stayed in La Soffita which was a beautiful and spacious room (big enough to accommodate a king size bed plus 2 x singles with plenty of room to spare) with a stunning view to boot. The room had more amenities than we needed, and provided a great combination of comfort and rustic appeal. There was a good selection of foods for breakfast including homemade yoghurt and freshly home-baked cakes/pastries every day. We would definitely stay again. A huge thank you from us!

There are so many options. - The views over the Chianti countryside are postcard perfect. - The hosts have a warm hospitality. - There is much to explore within a 30-minute drive of the property. - This is a lovely part of the Chianti region of Tuscany for walking, running or enjoying a picnic. - The coffee in the local town is remarkable value, less than €2 for an Americano. - The trattoria La Toppa is a minute walk away in San Donato and we highly recommend going there. Paolo, Valeria, and Sara ;) made us feel so welcome, it's a memorable experience to have our time over here. Hospitality at its best, I asked for an Aperol spritz at 10 in the morning and Paolo who was a master mixologist from Naples made the best of which I had tasted - as the recipe he adheres to is strictly the classical format (no shortcuts, all proper ingredients) , it is guaranteed to move your taste buds even in the cold March sun. The wood stove in our room was taken care of hourly so our feet would feel warm once we came back from touring around Chianti. Sincerely it is a good place to stay whether to relax at their terrazze, or to tour around Chianti's magnificent landscape.

Our stay was amazing. It exceded our expectations. Paolo and Valeria were kind and thoughtful helping us book a great wine tasting tour locally and with the delicious breakfast we had. We were able to get the rest and privacy we needed but also felt like where at home. A warm and authentic experience. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

An old historical house in the small village heart. Well preserved and maintained, like a small museum. Paolo & Valeria were the best hosts with a house tour and recommendation what and how to visit in the area. Great Italian breakfast! The closest winery is famous, but hard to book last minute. Their dinner was amazing and reasonable at 60. Free parking in Via Borgo Vecchio. The taverna across the street was a great family run option, as well.
