Valeria and Paulo are excellent hosts. We were welcomed with wine and snacks on the terrace which overlooks the Tuscan countryside. Each evening, we made sure we returned to the terrace to enjoy the close of day, drinking wine from a selection available to purchase at the property. Breakfast was astonishing - fruits, cereals, nuts, yoghurts, eggs, bacon, bread and spreads, pastries, and a cake, made by Valeria. It was all delicious and enough to fuel us for a day of exploring until dinner. Our room overlooked the piazza. It was spacious and beautifully decorated. We had a lounge to sit on (not common in the other places we stayed). The bed was very comfortable. San Donato is a medieval town with beautiful buildings, a few good restaurants, and picturesque scenery. It is well situated in Chianti and proved an excellent base to explore San Gimignano, Siena, and wineries. We could not have been happier with our stay.

A very nice stay in a cute historical village in Tuscany! A welcome glass of wine apertivo was a wonderful and generous touch. They have many nice wines available to buy for a fair price. The terrace was the highlight, just amazing views and a perfect place to spend the evening watching sunset. The host was very helpful and eccentric. There were lovely amenities in the room going above and beyond expectations; a very comfortable bed, shampoo and conditioner. Also a cute dog who was keen to partake in the meal.

There was a smokey smell in the room from the fireplace. It was not possible to drop off bags after 5pm or park at the property but this is due to the municipal rules. There was no dinner on offer but this is because we were the only party interested on the night.

Our stay at this B&B was absolutely fantastic! The location is perfect, right in the heart of Tuscany’s wine country. The neighborhood itself is beautiful and full of charm, making it the ideal place to explore and relax. The interior has an old-world charm yet is equipped with all the modern amenities we needed — including reliable hot water and every comfort to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The hosts Paolo and Valeria were super friendly and incredibly helpful, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was outstanding — generous, fresh, and with multiple delicious options to choose from each morning. The highlight has to be the terrace with its breathtaking views over the endless vineyards — truly a magical setting to enjoy coffee or wine while soaking in the Tuscan landscape. We would definitely go back and highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Tuscany!

A beautiful place full of personality in a delightful village. We booked only one night and our main motive was breakfast (none of our other holiday accommodation offered it and we wanted to treat ourselves one morning). It did not disappoint. It had it all: from fresh fruit to homemade treats (both sweet and savoury) with incredible Tuscan views all around. Bonus: wonderful restaurants right out of the front door in a charming, lively plaza. The room was huge and had incredible views from both windows. Staying in San Donato was like being in a movie with all the Tuscany clichés. We loved it :) Thank you Valeria, Paolo and Sara!

Absolutely amazing stay! 🌅 The view from the terrace was breathtaking, and the rooms were beautifully decorated in a charming vintage style – every detail felt so thoughtful, even down to two types of pillow softness! The breakfasts were a dream – delicious local food, homemade cakes, and something new every day. The owner is full of energy and truly cares about every guest. We were even welcomed with a light dinner and a glass of wine – such a warm touch! Highly recommend this place! 💛

Paolo and Valerie were great hosts. This is a family run B&B and Paolo and Valerie work very hard to make it a great experience for guests. The town of San Donato is very picturesque and the view from the B&B's terrace is amazing. The daily breakfast spread is also amazing with Paolo making some great coffee and Valerie baking very good fresh cakes everyday. Paolo also went out of his way to arrange a local wine tour in a family run vineyard where we got a chance to interact with the family owners and hear their stories first hand. The people in the town are also very friendly and you should definitely try the Michelin star La Toppa restaurant (which is right next door and not too expensive).

Nothing. Just a tip - we didn't have a car and it was a bit hard to go outside the town since public transport is not that great. But we managed fine with the help of Paolo and Valerie and the locals.

A beautiful bed and breakfast! Charming rooms and hosts made our stay lovely. The village is only walking but that added to the Chianti experience. We went on daily excursions to local cites, but were happy to return to the peaceful countryside. Paolo and Valeria welcomed us into their home, and we loved our tiramisu class with Valeria and aperol spritz by Paolo. We also adored Sara who helped us from missing our own pups at home. We were a family group of eight from USA and Albania, including three children, and everyone enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend staying here…we just need Paolo's aperol spritz secret recipe. We hope to return again! Thank you for a memorable visit. ❤️

Everything! The views from the rooftop terrace were tremendous. Having breakfast and overlooking the countryside was amazing. Everything was exceptionally clean. Our hosts, Paolo and Valeria we’re so gracious and helpful! The food they served was so delicious. Location amazing. San Donato has a lovely restaurant as well as a couple other casual dining/beverage areas. It is an absolute hidden gem! So friendly and lovely.

Fantastic location in the center of a beautiful middle ages castle town. The owners were very welcoming and managed to organise a last minute, out of season tour of San Donato with a great local guide. The building is a historical government palace with a rich history the owners know in detail.

the only inconvenience is that heating in the main room was through a stove, which needs regular feeding (handled by the staff during the day) and causes a lingering smell of burnt wood (pro or con depends on taste!)

The best host in Italy we have ever seen ! So helpful, friendly. Rooms are clean and super. Next day room was cleaned and we were supposed be. Because for this price have such amazing service- this is really very unusual ☺️🤍 There is everything what you need. Highly recommended ❤️ Ooww, breakfast! This is super good as well. Fresh fruit, cases, coffee, scrambles and many others many thanks ❤️
