We had a wonderful stay at Duomo Guest House in the heart of Sorrento. Our double room was spacious, tastefully decorated with bright, citrus-themed accents that reflect the charm of Sorrento’s famous lemons and oranges. The bed was very comfortable with fresh, clean bedding, and the room included a generously sized bathroom with a shower enclosure, large mirror, and 24-hour hot water—everything was spotless and well-maintained. One of the best parts of our room was the portico that overlooked the bustling Corso Italia, the main street in Sorrento’s city center. It was a delight to step out and soak in the vibrant atmosphere right from our room. The location of Duomo Guest House is unbeatable—right opposite the Cathedral of St. Phillips and James and surrounded by shops, restaurants, and pubs all within walking distance. There's even a grocery store just a couple of minutes away for any essentials. A special mention must go to Mr. Gennaro, the manager, who made our stay even more enjoyable. He was incredibly kind, approachable, and went out of his way to assist us. He answered all our questions patiently and gave excellent recommendations for things to do around Sorrento. He even helped us book day trips to Capri and the Amalfi Coast (Amalfi and Positano), which were both highlights of our trip. On our last day, we were allowed to leave our luggage at the guest house after checkout while we went on our final day trip—this was a big help. Would We Stay Again? Absolutely. If we return to Sorrento, we wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else.

There was nothing that bothered us actually. It was really a great place to stay.

DUOMO guest house was the perfect choice for us. Easy walking distance from the station, located directly on the beautiful Corsa Italia, the"main" street of Sorrento town, with many excellent restaurants close by as well as shopping amenities to suit all preferences. The host was most welcoming, and willing to assist with advice and suggestions. The decor was fresh, modern and quite charming. A coffee machine was at our disposal and the courtesy minibar was appreciated! Our room had a balcony which was great for watching the "street scene" below.

There was absolutely nothing negative about our stay at Duomo.

The location is excellent for those who don’t drive. It is in the center of town, so you don’t even need to walk far to reach the main area. Check-in is very convenient, and the staff spoke good English and were very helpful.

There is no free parking, and the public parking is very expensive. You have to pay every time you drive out, so it’s important to consider parking costs before making a reservation and to find a suitable parking spot in advance.

Being a solo traveller, the location is fantastic being on the main pedestrian street (with the balcony overlooking it). The room is very generous in size and very clean. There were complimentary drinks in the fridge, including a coffee machine in the reception area which is always lovely. Gennaro was so helpful with any question I had, and was so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend!

Nothing - it was all fantastic!

This property was close to everything in Sorrento. It was a nice room, a little tight but comfortable. It was peaceful and quiet. The balcony was really two chairs that looked out to the other building.

The elevator was out of order, and although this cannot be controlled it was a fair amount of stairs to climb with or without luggage. And the property owner never mentioned it before check in nor did they offer to help.

Brilliantly located guest house on one of the main streets near Piazza Tasso, 10-minute walk from the train station and Curreri Viaggi bus stop. Lots to see, do, eat and drink on your door step - perfect for exploring Sorrento! Gennaro was really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size and all the facilities were clean and very comfortable. The room and balcony were really quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, the complementary mini bar was also a lovely addition. Grazie mille Gennaro!

We really enjoyed our stay here and there wouldn't be anything we'd want to improve upon!

Location is perfect! 10-minute walk to Sorrento train station, stones throwaway from the shops and good restaurants. Serena, one of the front desk staff, was really helpful and very accommodating. My husband lost our room keys and she helped us right away. Also they communicated few days prior to our stay and made sure someone will be there to greet us when we arrive.

The only thing I didn’t like was the ac took so long to cool down our room. If you are going around spring or fall, this should not be a problem.

The location was very central and you could walk out and be immediately amongst the action. It is also a very short walk to the train station or bus station. Check in was easy and the room was spacious and clean, with free coffee!

The only negative was the view was a wall only a metre or two from the window and the cleaner was quite loud in the morning when we were still resting.

Best location right in the centre of town with restaurants and shops at your doorstep. Staff are fantastic, organising a booking at a restaurant on our last night. Great balcony for people watching. Room was our biggest in Europe!

Street noise on weekends especially :(

The location is perfect, the staff were so friendly and helpful, particularly Gennaro, the room was a good size with large bathroom. All the facilities were excellent and super clean. Great communication in advance of our arrival, and very responsive while we were there. Highly recommended.
