Rarely have I encountered such a lovely place. Everything was so perfectly accomplished. The hotel itself is lovely. Well located. Then there is the staff; each and every one of them I’m quite certain was there just to make my stay perfect. Breakfast was a dream. Thankfully we had six mornings to be able to experience it all. To describe it would be impossible, but for an idea, there was a table with perhaps ten porcelain honey pots, each from a different plant or fruit. Phenomenal! Our room was lovely, well furnished, bed cozy, and there were bathrobes. I may never return to Naples, but the Hotel Continental will remain in my memory as one of the, if not the, most wonderful hotels where I have stayed.

Beautiful hotel overlooking the sea in Sorrento. Staff were lovely, polite and on the most part efficient and friendly. Room was very well appointed and clean and the view from the balcony was fabulous. The lift opposite our room was amazing, it went everywhere you needed to go including direct access to beach level all the way through the cliff. It was a special place to stay.

The bed was soft and on a slight slope which made it a bit of challenge. The restaurant was on the top floor, accessed from an open air terrace. Unfortunately on the night we booked in for dinner it was extremely windy and we were sitting by sliding glass doors (more a loose fitting wall really). It was freezing, there were several opportunities for the staff to move us, as it was we spent more time closing the doors than eating our meal. Other than that no complaints. It was expensive but in Sorrento if you want a beautiful view then it costs.

Beautiful hotel and location. Staff was exceptional. Views were great from our room and roof top. Gym was good and had what o needed. Breakfast was fantastic as was staff at breakfast. Good location to get to ferries and walkable to the train. Shopping and dining were all very close. Be aware that if you book an outside room and in particular corner rooms there are metal shades that raise and lower. This was great for every night of our stay except the night of a storm. The shades rattled like an old tin roof all night. Not much sleep that night. We would stay here again for sure.

Beautiful hotel right on the water. The rooms were very comfortable. The staff were very nice and accommodating. They have a nice pool. They also have a delicious rooftop restaurant with an adjacent lounge/bar area with live entertainment. It’s walking distance to a lots of shops and restaurants. It felt like a safe part of town. We saw a lot of kids and families out and about in this area. It is also walking distance to the pier where you can catch a boat or ferry to Capri or elsewhere.

If you want to go down to the beach club/water level, you have to take a small lift down to the -3 level and I was pretty scared and claustrophobic being in the lift. It’s a long way down from 0 to -3 level. I’m sure there are stairs somewhere too but I didn’t see them.

Breakfast and staff were delightful every morning. Rooftop bar was amazing to watch the sunset every night with music. The pool was great although we didn't use it much as we were jumping around the neighboring towns. The location was right in the heart of the city and the hotel is right next to a huge sunset viewing area so that was a bonus. The elevator goes down to the beach level and is connected to a beach club and easy access to the ports. Great spot, great hotel, staff was amazing.

The location was absolutely perfect. The staff…all the staff were clearly hard working and friendly. The breakfast offerings were fantastic with un paralleled offerings and we asked for different eggs and this was never a problem 👍

In the room another socket at the dresser table and a mirror……..for the wife!

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Continental in Sorrento and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location is unbeatable, just steps away from the heart of Sorrento, with the best restaurants, shops, and attractions all within easy walking distance. Breakfast was a highlight every morning, fresh, varied, and included in the stay, making it the perfect way to start the day. In the evenings, the rooftop bar and restaurant stole the show. The views over the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius are absolutely breathtaking, and enjoying a cocktail up there quickly became one of our favorite moments. The staff made our stay even more memorable. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and always happy to provide excellent recommendations on where to eat and what to do in and around Sorrento. Their local advice helped us discover some wonderful spots we might have otherwise missed. Hotel Continental is the perfect blend of location, comfort, and hospitality. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sorrento.

The Hotel Continental was beautiful I loved the decor and the colours were so vibrant and elegant. The rooms were quite spacious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and kind. I would definitely stay again if I came back to Italy.

My only real complaint is that the pool was ice cold. I’m from Australia and used to swimming in cold water yet I think a pool should at least have some solar heating. Many people wouldn’t go in as it was too cold. We swam many times and the weather was warm yet the pool was too cold to stay in for long.

Our stay in Sorrento was absolutely magical and truly made our honeymoon unforgettable. The hotel was beyond accommodating and every little detail made us feel so special and cared for. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful touches throughout our stay, it felt like they went out of their way just for us. The stunning setting combined with such genuine hospitality created the most romantic atmosphere — we couldn’t have asked for anything more. It was everything we dreamed of and more, and we’ll cherish these memories forever.

Beautiful property very close to cliff but few public cliff views except for the rooftop restaurant. This picture makes it appear to be on the cliff but there is another property just in front of it. Great amenities. Great included breakfast, nothing left out!

Staff on the whole were wonderful, responsive and helpful! I was put off by the cash only policy to reserve/ pay for the many excursions and trips offered by the hotel. Even reserving a tact to the airport could only be done with cash payment. I personally, for obvious safety reasons, no longer carry that kind of cash with me. It required a separate trip to find an ATM with a reasonable exchange rate on a day when I was not feeling well.
