We liked the host the most. Karol is a very friendly and generous person. She helped us with everything including finding the best places to visit and recommending the greatest restaurants . We got home baked cake for breakfast and the rooms were cozy and tidy. There is a fantastic bakery five minutes from the guest house where you can buy fresh bread and pastries. A small shop is also very close. We found everything we needed here. Alcantare train station is only a five minute walk and takes you to Catania, Siracusa or Messina.

- clean room, air conditioned & a little fridge - the hostess is an absolute sweetheart who makes breakfast everyday & tries extremely hard to make you feel as comfortable as possible. at one point she literally picked us up in her car when we were lost

- the ceilings really are super low, so you have to be very careful, if you’re only staying here for sleeping it shouldn’t be an issue tho - the location isn’t ideal if you’re planning to go to taormina, there are bus stops nearby though ( it’s about a 35 minute ride and you have to get an app), but naxos beach is pretty nearby!

I simply could not have imagined a better place for my stay as a young woman alone in Sicily! Karol was so incredibly lovely and helpful and supported me in everything, I just felt at home. I enjoyed freshly baked cake and coffee outside every morning and she even fulfilled some of my special breakfast wishes. My room was super clean and got cleaned every day with new towels included. Chianchitta is a very tranquil little place with a quite big supermarket and some restaurants nearby. The beach in Giardini Naxos is only about a 25 minute walk away. There are also some nice beach bars and food spots. The bus to Taormina stops right outside the door several times a day.

The only small thing that was a little annoying was the very low ceilings in my room. But I was told that this was only the case in my room and I was definitely able to overlook it.

We spent 10 nights in Sicily and this B&B was without a doubt the best one we stayed at. Karol will go above and beyond to make her guests feel like home. The place is extremely clean and has everything you need and expect in a B&B. Yes, the rooms are in the attic, but it didn't make the stay less pleasant in any way for us (we are both almost 1.8m tall). Probably wouldn't recommend doing cardio or jogging in the room, but other than that, you just must be careful and the lower part of the ceiling will not be a dealbreaker. If you need a place that feels like home away from home and is within a reachable distance from big crowds, then B&B Gente di Mare is the right place for you. 11/10 would recommend.

The hosts are GREAT! They helped us plan a trip to Etna and when we sat in garden in the evening they brought us beer. The breakfast was delicius! The host made homemade lemon cake and pie with home made jam. Everithing was spotless and the host even cleaned our room during two day stay. Parking is availabe on the street and even behind fance (if available).

The house was very clean and the host was very kind. She even prepared us a delicious lemon cake for breakfast! Very attentive host and always smiling and opened to know more about the people. We also had the chance to park inside the courtyard. The location was OK for what we wanted to do, close to Taormina, to Castelmola and also Etna volcano. Very nice stay,tanks for having us Karo, good luck in learning French!

There is a little bit of noise from the street, and our room was in the attic . The low height/ceiling was a bit of a problem for 2 persons that are almost 1,8m tall. But other than these everything was fine.

The apartment was located in a safe and less busy part of Giardini-Naxos. It's very close to the Chianchitta bus stop, from where you can easily reach the city center or Taormina. The host was super friendly, very helpful and spoke fluent english. She was flexible in terms of check-in and check-out times and even took us to the Giardini-Naxos with her car because we traveled with public transportation. The breakfast was great. We would choose this place again. 10/10 experience.

The room is very clean and comfortable with everything you might need. The location is not central, but there is a bus stop and a train station just a few steps away, which makes it easily reachable. The host, Karol, was the sweetest!! She gave us some pieces of advice of how to go around, prepared the most delicious cake for breakfast and took us to the train station. I’d say it was the best stay of ours across the whole Sicily. Definitely recommended!

Everything was clean and she totally complied with the request I made previously. The girl was very sweet, she helped us with everything and the breakfast was delicious.

The second bed the ceiling is close to the bed, but we knew that and booked it knowing. so everything was great!

The location was perfect for us as we needed somewhere close to the train station. The main area of Naxos is approx 20min walk away from the location. This wasn't a negative for us as we love walking around, but want others to be aware of that distance. It was super easy to get to places by foot but also great if you have a car and don't want to walk. The host was super friendly and gave lots of recommendations for things to do. The breakfast provided was delicious, everything homemade by the fruit trees in the courtyard. This place was great if you don't like being stuck in the middle of touristic places.

Although our room was large, it had a slanted ceiling which meant my 6"2' partner struggled to move around the room freely. It wasn't so bad for us as we only needed one night, but for those who need longer, should be aware that this may be the room you get. So contact the host if possible for the other room.
