Donnaciccina is in a perfect location in the pedestrian part of Tropea. No hire cars are permitted in the centre. Close to restaurants, shops and the main attractions. It is a beautifully maintained historic house, with winding staircases, stone walls and many of the rooms have shuttered balconies over looking the cobbled road or distant sea views. The rooms are large and comfortable with modern air conditioning, which is a must during the summer months. Umberto, the owner, is delightful, he is always around and happy to help with any questions or requests. He booked a boat tour for us and helped us with our luggage. He was friendly, welcoming and helpful. As you cannot take your car into parts of Tropea, he gave us the contact details for a safe and secure parking company.. Bla Bla parkiing for the car. They drop you off near to the hotel and pick you up, although you do have to pull your suitcases down the cobbled main street to the B&B. You can choose to have breakfast, the croissants are wonderful.

The only issue might be the stairs for an elderly or infirm couple.

We had a wonderful stay at Donnaciccina Accommodation! The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the charming old town of Tropea, with bars, restaurants, and a beautiful sea view from the nearby viewpoint just steps away. The hotel itself is very unique – full of character, with an authentic historic atmosphere that makes your stay even more special. Umberto, the host, and all the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Noisy

Loved how close it was to the beach and restaurants, the staff were so communicated, friendly, and accommodating! The rooms having AC was a major plus, and my room had a great balcony, as the shower had great water pressure and plenty of warm water, all you could need ☺️

The bed I had was a tiny bit stiff for me, but that’s personal preference as I like a very soft bed. Other than that, you may hear the doors close in the hallway here and there from your room, but everything else was fantastic!

Umberto and Corrado were excellent hosts; very attentive ensuring that we were comfortable and felt welcome. They even loaned us a beach umbrella. The rooms were well appointed with their own unique charm. Best of all was the central location - easy to find and close to everything. We highly recommend visiting Tropea and staying at Donnaciccina Accommodation.

The B&B is right in the heart of the historic center, just steps away from restaurants, shops, and all the main sights. You couldn’t ask for a better location! Umberto and Corrado, the hosts, were truly fantastic — welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. They went above and beyond to make me feel at home, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience the best of the city with wonderful hosts!

Umberto, was such a lovely host and a really genuine person, he went out of his way to help organise our stay in every way. The breakfast was excellent and fresh squeezed orange juice from his Garden, and he catered for any food allergies. He really made our stay in Tropea special and we will definitely be back again and have already recommended this accommodation to our friends Emer and Edwin Ireland.

Nothing. The room was a little noisy due to the bars downstairs, but that was to be expected considering its amazing location. My parent's room didn't have any noise at all so it depends on where your room is located relative to the main street.

We received the most outstanding service from both Umberto and Conrad whilst we stayed this month. The breakfasts were most enjoyable and the room was spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect as the bars and restaurants are so close. This is the third time that we have stayed at Donnaciccina and each time has been a pleasure.

Absolutely nothing.

Really kind and helpful hosts, always available and genuinely attentive. You truly feel welcome and heard. The location is perfect—right in the very heart of Tropea’s historic and tourist center. Naturally, that means it’s not the quietest spot at night, but that’s to be expected when you're staying in such a lively area and not out in nature. That said, we do feel the cleanliness of the rooms could be improved.

I LOVED this property! Excellent location, amazing host! Umberto took me on his scooter my first day so that I could do laundry. He ensured a staff member was there to help me with my luggage when I arrived late in the evening. Umberto and his staff treated me like family and I truly value the souther Italian hospitality! I would definitely return!
