Exceptional Stay at Hotel Residence Esplanade We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Residence Esplanade in Viareggio. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the service throughout was excellent—staff were always friendly, helpful, and professional. Our room was spacious, well-appointed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast had a great variety of fresh and tasty options to choose from. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the beach. The beach club recommended by the hotel was lovely, well-maintained, and made our beach days extra relaxing. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Viareggio. We would definitely return!

We enjoy coming to Viareggio and have stayed at a number of 3* & 4* hotels over the years. This was the second time at the Hotel Residence Esplanade. We like the location and family bedrooms, the fridge facility and sizeable safe was handy.

The bathroom / shower area was slightly cramped. The actual shower cubicle was also quite restrictive. Our actual room (Rear view) suffered from some drainage smells wafting in on a couple of occasions.

Nice hotel with very good location, a few steps from the beach and the main street with shops and restaurants. Hotel staff very serviceminded! Perfect that the hotel has an agreement with beach clubs and arranged space and payment for us. The arrangement for street parking also worked well.

Some long black hairs, from the cleaning staff, on the terrace and bathroom. Missed parking in front of the hotel, for check-in and check-out

Great location - perfect for the carnevale. Our room was well appointed and we had a great view from our balcony. We were room 312 and the only room that may have been better would have been 311. We were delighted. Breakfast was very good.

Great location very close to the beach with its own beach club. Lovely breakfast. Beautiful hotel . Great to be able to hire bikes - Viareggio is brilliant for cycling as it has designated cycling paths well away from the road and it's all very flat. Professional staff and great customer service.

Staff were lovely and very helpful - our airconditioning was leaking, we let the staff know and they responded immediately. When they weren't able to fix the problem we were upgraded to a suite free of charge! Facilities were good and room clean. Good range of food at breakfast.

The air conditioning is a bit noisy!

Great location and spacious room

No pool, we obviously knew this and thought that we would not mind, we used the beach a few times but the convenience of a pool for our 14yr old son we missed. It does not detract from a very enjoyable stay

The breakfast selection was very good. The room we had was compact and contemporary and was good for a couple of days.

Lovely building both outside and in. Super friendly reception and staff on the whole good. Fabulous breakfast and good coffee. Location is great with beach and shopping a few steps away. Easy to find.

Renovation work in progress but this didn’t impact on our stay.

Great hotel location, amazing stuff, just renovated gym, Art Deco ornaments, hotel bicycles. The room was decent with a small balcony and two separated rooms.

The shower being really tiny is the only thing that bothered me.
