Average hotel, price-quality ratio is fine. Located on the boulevard with various restaurants within easy reach. Breakfast is decent with cappuccino prepared by the bartender and delicious cream croissants.

We had booked this hotel for the sea view. However, the window was high, so you couldn't see the sea from the room (bed). Also, there were no table/chairs on the balcony. In short, yes, when you step onto the balcony, you see the sea. But don't expect (for example) balcony where you can sit with a bottle of wine to enjoy the view. Furthermore, the toilet had the smell of old urine.

I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during my first time in Viareggio. All members of staff were great and very friendly. The balcony and seaview were amazing. The location 20 minutes walk from the train station is ideal, and the supermarket is just a 5 minutes walk away. Plenty of restaurants right across the street on the promenade. Will stay here again!

Two small things to mention. One, some things in the hotel and room look a bit tired and need updating, but that's merely cosmetic. And two, the very strange breakfast buffet system. It baffled nearly every guest on their first day. You are not allowed to take anything from the buffet yourself. You have to point at the items you want, and the staff will put them on plates, and carry them to your table. It felt strange every single day for 6 days. I can understand that you want to limit what people take from the buffet, but I can carry the stuff to the table myself. And if all staff were busy there was considerable waiting until someone was free to assist. Definitely room for improvement!

This was a great stay. One of my best 3 Star in Italy. The staff so really nice and I was able to even store my bicycle save on the balcony ☺️ Room has been very nice with balcony and sea view. And most importantly in Italy they do not have those thin walls where you can hear every single word of your neighbours. It’s directly at the Main Street but windows are very isolated. But anyway k always carry oropax with me. Breakfast was also good. Ebene for vegans. They had home made banana cake 👍 I will return one day

Wow, location amazing. Sea front hotel.Clean and comfortable. Amazing self serve breakfast. With the best pastries we have ever had. Catered for one member of our group gluten free.The staff were brilliant, kind and friendly. Booking us restaurants and taxis when we needed them. They work so hard, to make you feel special. We will be back, this is rare for us. As we never usually return. As like to try different hotels.

Nothing, everything was perfect

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel San Francisco in Viareggio, Italy, and it was an exceptional experience. The hotel staff truly made our stay memorable with their excellent and friendly service. The reception staff at Hotel San Francisco were welcoming, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. The breakfast servers were equally outstanding. They greeted us with warm smiles and friendly banter each morning, and provided attentive service. The continental breakfast spread offered a delightful variety of delicious options, and outstanding coffee! The housekeeping staff at Hotel San Francisco also deserve commendation. Their daily service kept the rooms impeccably clean and tidy, ensuring a comfortable and refreshing environment for me to relax in after a long day on the beach or sightseeing. We had booked a room with a sea view, and it was everything we had hoped for. The rather small balcony had room for two chairs and a ledge to place drinks, so was ample for our needs. Thoughtfully, they had placed a small, washing line and clothes pegs in the corner, which was ever so useful for our beach holiday. The room itself with spacious, with a fridge, safe, air conditioning and warm lighting. Ample storage space, and a large, extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious, with a large shower, plenty of hot water with great water pressure, and a bidet. Overall, the outstanding service provided by the reception staff, breakfast servers, and housekeeping staff at Hotel San Francisco truly exceeded our expectations. Their friendliness and attention to detail added an extra layer of warmth to our stay, making it a highly recommended choice for anyone visiting Viareggio.

There was nothing negative to say

This friendly hotel is the perfect place to relax and explore all that Viareggio has to offer. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are kind, helpful and efficient. I was so comfortable that I extended my stay. The hotel location is roughly mid-promenade with many eateries close by, easy access to the beach and a wooded park only two blocks away.

There is nothing I did not like about my stay.

Location was perfect! Right across from the beach. And being a solo traveler I felt very safe in the area. The breakfast on the terrace was a wonderful way to start the day. Staff were very accomodating. I accidentally locked my key in my room and they happily opened it for me. Will definitely return.

I missed the sign at breakfast informing guests that rather than picking thing out from the buffet, you must tell the staff and they will select it for you. The sign was blocked by people. Perhaps have a few more signs placed in other areas of the buffet. Not a problem though.

Staff was friendly, helpful and readily available. The room was clean, spacious and we got a beautiful sea view! The location was perfect as it was just a few steps away from the beach. The terrace is amazing, with a beautiful view, the breakfast there was overall pretty good.

Breakfast buffet was not self-service, you would have to point to items you would want from there and staff would bring them to you, which I thought was pretty random, though I think it's related to COVID precautions (it is 2023, though).

The location is great facing the sea close to everything. Station is a 25 min walk. Bus stop is short walk will take you to Forte Di Marmi for the famous Sunday Market ( check times 1st) Staff are really good, helpful,friendly and know their jobs. Breakfast is good, it's a buffet but you are not allowed to help yourself , it's a" point at it "and they bring it to your table! bit odd , am sure there is a reason, but the staff are charming and nothing too much trouble,it has everything you need . There is a roof terrace with a great view. We stayed mid May weather wasn't fantastic, it was handy to grab a couple of minutes sun up there ! Opposite is Elizabetta beach with a nice lunch menu, but do go around the back streets for less expensive meals.

I really liked the hotel. The room had a balcony overlooking the sea and at night you could hear the waves splashing. The hotel is quiet, there were few guests and everyone was calm. Breakfast was enough for me to walk until lunch. The room was clean, cleaned and towels changed regularly. The administrators at the reception are very pleasant and responsive, they told us how to get to neighboring cities. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. If I'm in Viareggio again, I'll definitely stay here.
