The beds were comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection: biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, waffle maker, fresh fruits, breads, yogurt, juices and milks. We felt very safe. We asked for our 2 rooms to be close and they put us right next to each other. Sadly they don't have connected rooms.

At check in my card wasn't working while I was trying to pay, the gal at the front desk was less than helpful. You could tell she did not want to be there and was very unfriendly. The staff at checkout were very friendly and chatty! This hotel does allow pets, so there was a dog barking every once in a while. I didn't mind it, but with sleeping toddlers that I was afraid were going to wake up from it was a little nerve racking.

Location and friendly staff

There was a peculiar smell of paint in the corridor. There were only two bath towels in the room which were insufficient. The room was adjacent to the dining hall and all night long there were noises/sounds of moving furniture, maybe staff was cleaning and preparing for breakfast. The half and half creamers in the dining hall were old and had settlements, informed the staff, was changed immediately but the new ones had the same problem The sausages and eggs were kept in the same pan and there were clear signs of mixing / cross contamination. People who didn’t eat pork or sausage could not eat the eggs also

Breakfast was pretty good, even vegetarians can get bagels with peanut butter and fruit, but the other stuff looked fine too. I also loved that the room windows open, so I didn't need to run the AC much and the room stayed nice and fresh.

The only thing I didn't love about this place is the fairly noisy 24-hour car wash next door. People in Waterloo like to keep their cars clean at all hours.

The staff was very helpful & kind. The breakfast had a good amount of choices.

All the common areas of the hotel smelled very strongly of cleaning chemicals. Which is good because then you know things are clean, but it definitely isn't super pleasant on the nose. Rooms could definitely be updated with queen size beds instead of full size.

The location was great, and the staff were so very, hospitable. Nothing’s better than staff that are responsive, and attentive.

I guess I just didn't like not getting myself up to go down for their breakfast. The bed and pillows, just wouldn't release me. 😊

The battery in my car died…instead of telling me who to call for a tow the staff boosted my car AND led me to nearest Advanced Auto to get a new battery!!! Thanks to Dakota and Kent I made it back home! Thanks to those fine staff members!! (They would not even accept a tip for their services!)

Room was good sized, bed was comfy, pool was nicely heated so our little guy didn't freeze. Thank you! Our ac unit was noisy, and kept waking him up.

Ease of access. Staff, the desk clerk especially and the morning staff member that was taking car of breakfast.

Great TV, Great selection of channels but , no directions as to how to use the remote.

Clean comfortable room.

Curtains wouldn't close, air conditioner was very noisy. Breakfast wasn't good. Wasn't worth the price.

We had a king suite. The bed was very comfortable. We had plenty of space with a sofa bed and a chair. Plenty of water pressure in the shower. We were just passing through.

The bathroom was very small.
