The room smelled like cigarettes. It is long past time to stop smoking in hotel rooms. If they aren't going to ban it, they shouod at least disclose if a room is a smoking room.

Price and location near downtown Walnut Creek. Easy checkout. Pleasant staff.

We provided a request through Booking.com that we needed a handicapped room for the 86-year-old senior I was traveling with. The Motel had no knowledge of our request. Unfortunately, they only had one handicapped 'Smoking Room' available which would not work for us. Sadly, she could not shower during our stay :( . Evidentially, the Motel 6 changed ownership the day prior to our arrival for which we were not notified of this from Booking.com. There was confusion when we checked in and they did not know that we had paid through Booking.com. We needed to provide the Motel with our Confirmation and Pin Number from Booking.com in order to verify that indeed we paid in advance.

When I stay there was nice the staff was nice. And I would also say that other than the back of the place being burnt overall is a great hotel

I thought that the back of the hotel being burnt was weird and I'd like to be able to have access to the pool area but other than that all in all was a great day

This is my go-to place when I need a break from the construction occurring in our house. I have been there at least three times and plan to go back. I get the rest and quiet I need to recharge myself before I head back home.

The walls are not soundproof, so I could hear sounds from other rooms. Not a big deal. The reception desk computer took longer to reload than normal; however, Teresa, the front desk clerk, made the situation less frustrating by explaining what was happening.

Two days in a row my card key was deactivated and I had to go to the office, show ID and get the card testored. I paid in advance for 3 nights, so that should not have happened.

The location is quiet, easy to find off the freeway, gas station and food places nearby

Couldn't figure out how to get the AC to work properly; all the instruction tabs were worn off

Staff was very nice and helpful. The room was no frills but perfect for the price. Good central location.
