It was my first time in Malaysia, and I chose J-hotel primarily for its value. It was surprisingly clean and hygienic, located near the city center, just a 2km taxi ride from the convention center. There are also many Chinese restaurants nearby, so the location was perfect for us, and the price was beautiful. Also, Shahim, the handsome front desk guy, was very friendly, and Pankaj, who helped with our luggage, was always there to open the door for us. Such a nice touch!

Sometimes you have to wait a long time for the elevator in the perk time. You can make a reminder at the front desk to inform the location of another elevator.

cleaning has no structured time. Had to ask twice to get room done. Walls very thin so can hear every time neighbour turns tap on, has shower, plugs socket into wall and muffled talking. Location is great but the side street the hotel is on is random, dark and under developed. feels a bit unsafe on approach to hotel

The price, location, and staff who were very understanding made the whole stay worthwhile. We came abruptly from Singapore upon hearing the news of the departure of a dear family member in Kuala Lumpur. As it was an unplanned visit, we didn't have lots of personal belongings with us. Thus, having clean towels, disposable toothbrushes, and soap were very helpful. We check in late at almost 11pm and were delighted when the receptionist was accommodating to our request for late check out as we needed more rest time as the group consists of adults mostly aged more than 70 years old. Breakfast was also great, simple, tasteful and follow request at an affordable price. And the room is bright enough and very comfy.

Location is great - about 10 to 15 minutes of walking from TRX and Pavilion if you need a quick and easy meal. TRX and Pavilion has access to MRT so transport is settled too. The hotel is close enough to spots tourists would usually check out but also far enough to be peaceful. You do not have to deal with the noise and crowd when you’re trying to catch a snooze. The staff were friendly as well. For solo travellers, the area felt safe. Some parts are not as well lit but generally it seemed safe to stomp back to the hotel at night.

The washroom could’ve been cleaner. Nothing too disturbing. I gagged a little when I first tried to use the toilet bowl but nothing you can’t resolve on your own. The reception area is small - comfortable until a huge tour group meets up in there and it becomes a hazard and annoying. Or when it rains and everyone’s stuck inside awkwardly waiting for their car.

A returned customer. The staff is definitely accomodating our request(s) & helpful. The lobby smell so fresh. The room & bathroom is clean as expected. Every housekeeping, we were given a clean towel(s).

The location is abit far for walking distance. e.g. Pavilion, TRX etc. Small lift & bathroom; had to put our toileteries on the floor. Suggestion to install a floaring rack or something. It would be a plus point for this hotel.

Turned out to be the first day of reopening on my stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and great as well!

The soundproofing is kinda bad. I can hear my neighbours talking through the wall, and can even hear them turning on (and off) switches.

5 min walk from Bukit Bintang, lots of shopping and food options nearby. Walking distance from Jalan Alor. The receptionist and doorman/woman were all very courteous and friendly- excellent service. Lift available to the rooms. The room was just as shown in the pictures, well-lit yet cosy, lovely color scheme. Sheets were clean and bed was comfortable. Washroom well-ventilated. Hot water for shower was consistent. Plus point that room slippers were provided. Would definitely stay again!

Felt slightly unsafe walking back alone at night as the surrounding roads and construction sites were dimly lit. More channels can be added to the TV, to cater to international visitors as most were in the Malay language. Walls are really thin, neighbours can be heard switching lights on/off, talking/laughing in the corridor till 2am.

Location, staff and amenities were great. Easy walk to Bukit Bintang and the Pavilion, in fact we mainly walked everywhere. Staff friendly and helpful with every request.

Bed was hard as a honeymooners. Room was noise as could hear neighbours talking and moving in room., Everyone seemed to slam their room doors at all times of night.

The staff were very helpful at all times of the day. The room was quite clean. The location is also good but just the street leading to the hotel is a bit shady and not lit by any street lights.

While the room was clean the fridge had not been emptied out and there was some food from the previous guest. The thermostat was either too cold or off and no in between and the bathroom door had to be locked if not It did not close and the walls were quite thin and you could hear the guests from other rooms.
