a bit disappointed on the breakfast as it wasn't buffet. It should be indicated on the apps that breakfast is ala carte. I wouldn't pay for the breakfast if is ala carte. Feel like being con into paying the breakfast, and I couldn't enjoy it.

- Love the attitude of the staff (forgotten to get his name) as during my check-in the room given is differ from what i had booked but informed back the first person that assist me to check-in and he had assigned/change me to the exact room that i had booked to the extend he assist me to carry my luggage during changing the room and keep apologizing. - Check in and check out is really smooth and which it doesn’t took that long. - Love the facilities of the room its really calm and peaceful. - Its really safe for ladies who doing solo traveling - The water dispenser is really superb as i don’t have to worry to carry so much water from the supermarket as it has been provide by the hotel

- the light is a bit too dim probably the management can consider to lighten a bit the light especially lift area. - probably management should prepare the toilet bidet spray but im not sure other room but for my room there is no toilet bidet spray everything were superb only concern on this area mention above

The breakfast is the highlight! From Kaya Toast to Nasi Lemak, my taste buds were always in a stimulated state of euphoria. The staff is a close second (I like food more than people). They are kind, warm, welcoming, accommodating, informative, and they remember details about you and your life. The rooms are a close, close third. I landed in KL and at the Chow Kit to recharge between work and play. I got to sleep on plush mattresses underneath snuggly duvets whilst the cool, crisp air con was turned on. The windows are sound proof so I slept morning, noon, and night, despite being by a busy road. Stay here.

I mean, this is grasping at straws. The hotel could be more green by not needing to restock towels each day. Otherwise, I was pleased! They do have a refillable bottle station though!

We had a great stay. The staff were polite and attentive, and stored my luggage at no additional cost. Our room was spacious enough for us, and the beds were on the comfy side. It was fun to see the train running in front of our window. The windows are great — one can only hear minimal noise from outside. As other comments said, the rooms are a bit dim, but I believe it's the style of the hotel — romantically dim rather than disturbingly so. Lots of hotels are the same in the Middle East too.

Truly the embodiment of Nanyang aesthetics - absolutely beautiful. The art pieces were so thoughtfully curated, it felt like stepping into a living archive. I especially loved all the brass hardware in the shower and on the switches - such a charming nod to the past. The lighting was stunning too - warm, atmospheric, and beautifully considered. It really felt like travelling through time. And what a lovely surprise at the pub - SANPELLEGRINO (1.5L) in a glass bottle for just RM18? Absolutely wonderful! The staff were all so kind and welcoming. The breakfasts were just as lovely - comforting and delicious. Such a lovely stay overall - would highly recommend, and I’d definitely revisit if I ever get the chance. Cheers!

I like the colour combination of green + gold + black as the main theme colour of this hotel. Also the concept of this hotel is kinda old-school but elegant and nostalgic. I remember staying at this hotel 4 years back and now they still maintain the high standard they had previously. Music in the elevator is catchy. Bed is comfy. The shampoo and body conditioner are fragrantly nice! Always a pleasure staying in this hotel. Looking forward staying here again the next time I'm having staycation or special occasion.

The size of the room a bit small for that kind of price, but the view from the bed was excellent though. I'm not sure whether this hotel can be considered as child friendly, however it would be nice if baby chair is provided during breakfast time. Breakfast not so tasty as I had 4 years ago. It was a bit bland to be honest. Parking should be free for hotel guest, not to charge RM 15 per day.

However, the remote didn’t respond when prompted to press “OK,” which is something for the housekeeping team to take note of. Attention to these technical details will only enhance the guest experience further. Breakfast operations could benefit from a bit more consistency in pacing and order tracking—something easily fine-tuned to match the otherwise polished service levels. While it didn’t impact me greatly, more time-sensitive guests might feel differently. Knowing now that The Chow Kit ranks among the top 10 hotels on major travel platforms comes as no surprise. The Chow Kit Hotel absolutely surpassed our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and thoughtful—but what truly stood out was the experience on our second day. I had submitted a special request to have the room refreshed earlier than usual as we were preparing for a pre-wedding shoot in the room before heading out for more photos. To my surprise, a whole team came by—swiftly and seamlessly making up the room with such care and attention to detail. It was more than just housekeeping; it felt like they genuinely wanted to make the moment perfect for us. That kind of hospitality, where a request is met with such effort and graciousness, is rare. Highly recommended for anyone seeking not just a beautiful space, but a stay where you’re truly taken care of.

I loved the vibe of this hotel; hip, comfortable, great music always playing in lobby, amazing food and drinks in the restaurant... ate breakfast here and one other meal every day because the food was so good. The room was modern and decent sized. I got the one with the view of the train and city. The staff were top notch, professional, young and fun. Good firm bed, great shower pressure, well lit. Location was terrific for walking, and taking the metro. I used Grab mostly because its so cheap. Terrific coffee place next door. Definitely recommend.
