The staff was really friendly and helped with my first few days in Japan. Throughout my stay, although the rooms were small, it provided enough room for me to hold my purchased gifts and items inside the hotel room while I searched around and walked for more gifts and purchases. The location is also right next to the station, so it was easy to get started for the day with around a 5 minute walk to the station, which made it easy to calculate travel time and plans for the day.

The beds in the rooms were a bit too hard for me, which made it hard to get comfortable to sleep sometimes. Do be careful if you have 3+ people though, these rooms will most likely not be enough to fit everyone in comfortably. 2 people seemed to be pushing the space of the room we were in.

Excellent location just a block away from the train station. Everything was very clean. Check-in was a breeze. The highlight of the time there was the staff. They were so helpful! One time I was asking where I could get extra cream packets for coffee and within four minutes, they had brought some up to the room. Another time my wife and I had purchased a cheesecake and we’re looking for a plate and some silverware, Again they brought them up to the room within five minutes for us. It was exceptional service.

The room needs to be repainted, there were scuff marks on the walls from furniture and things.

I had a great stay at Tokyu REI Hotel Kichijoji! The location is fantastic—just a short walk from Kichijoji Station, right in the heart of town. It’s super easy to explore the local shops, restaurants, and nightlife, and Inokashira Park is also just a few minutes away, perfect for a peaceful morning stroll. The hotel was good, with enough facilities for a comfortable stay. It was nice to have a fridge in the room, which came in handy. The staff were great—friendly, helpful, and spoke English, which made everything much easier. After a brilliant night out enjoying the area’s vibrant atmosphere, it was a relief to be so close to everything. It’s also very accessible to central Tokyo, making it a great option for sightseeing or business. A perfect base for enjoying both the charm of Kichijoji and the rest of the city. Highly recommend!

Great location along the Chuo Line. Kichijoji is a great neighborhood. It's a bit out of the way from other places you might want to go, so expect to spend an hour on the train if you're going anywhere beyond the Chuo line. The place was affordable (esp compared to more popular areas like Shibuya) and the staff were very helpful. Easy to find the place too, right outside the station. Breakfast was very good, but for some reason I thought it would be open until 10 so I was a little startled to be hurried off by 9:30.

The hotel is across the street from the Haneda airport bus which is very convenient if you have large suitcases!There are many shopping options close by including DonQuiote, Uniglo, and department stores as well as places to eat. I liked they provided a soft and hard pillow and that the beds were comfortable.

Kichijoji is a little far from eastern Tokyo sites. If you are an early riser or one that sleeps in, it’s easier to miss the morning commute. Kichikoji is a great place to stay if you are interested in exploring western Tokyo! Highly recommend.

The proximity to the train station and Inokashira park were huge draws for me. Hotel was quiet, clean and rooms decent. 20 minutes to Shibuya and about 30 to Shinjuku, a great tourist base. Tea/coffee making in the room, mini fridge, access to a microwave and fresh water on each floor. I used the washer/dryers and was very happy with the cost and speed. Great views from the 10th floor. They stored my bags, for free, a bonus.

Excellent location and wonderful staff! Our luggage was delivered to the hotel before we arrived and staff placed the luggage in our room which was a wonderful surprise after a long day of travel. Staff was also very helpful when asked about nearby locations and hotel amenities. The location is great for a first/last night in Japan as there’s a direct limousine bus to and from Haneda that leaves from the station less than 2 blocks from the hotel. Kichijoji is also a great area in Tokyo.

The rooms are a little small and dated

Affordable & surprisingly well-appointed budget option right by Kichijoji Station South (park) exit. Excellent access to shops, eateries, bars, a fabulous French bakery & bistro (Epee) down the road, and of course the beautiful park and lake. Prompt, friendly service & a good view over Tokyo if you're high enough. Rooms are small but well designed, never feeling cramped.

Not (well) soundproofed between rooms, particularly bathroom sounds & cleaning. But quiet for the most part & well insulated from outside noise.

This is a great 1-2 night hotel for short stop overs in the Kichijouji area. For longer stays, I recommend another property. The coffee and tea service on the lobby floor was nice to hang out in the morning. We only stayed one night and left Tokyo the next day, so we didn't use the breakfast option. It's very easy to find from the train station and the bus stop from Haneda airport. Our room was small but efficient and met our needs for this part of our trip.

I booked this hotel for my parents, and they told me that they had a pleasant stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, and they liked the location (very close to Kichijoji Station). They also said that the breakfast was really good and kept them full until late afternoon. They also appreciated having access to all the different beverages in the lobby area. The staff were also more than happy to help us when we couldn't use one of the power outlets to charge their phones. They quickly provided us with a power extension cable to resolve the issue.
