From the moment I arrived at Hotel Granvia, I felt genuinely welcomed—and most importantly, safe. The reception staff were friendly and attentive, making check-in a breeze. I booked a single room, intending to spend most of my time out exploring. Room 408, accessible by lift, faced the peaceful inner courtyard. It was quiet, with no street noise - ideal after full days of sightseeing. Though the room was compact, it was perfectly suited to my needs. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the split-system air conditioning gave me full control over the climate, ensuring restful sleep every night. The amenities were well-considered: a desk and chair, a stocked minibar with water, soft drinks, wine, beer, and snacks, a wardrobe with ample hangers, plus tea and coffee-making facilities. The bathroom was clean with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were supplied. Breakfast was a highlight, with a generous buffet featuring a wide selection of juices, hot drinks, cereals, fruit, cold meats and cheeses, hot dishes, bread, and pastries. Just off the dining area is a lovely terrace—an great spot for reading, having a drink or simply soaking up the sun. Hotel Granvia is also ideally located. It's a short, seven-minute walk from both the Aerobus stop and the metro and within easy walking distance of many major attractions. I met up with friends in Barcelona, and over two days, we explored the city entirely on foot—taking in the vibrant streets, culture, and architecture.

A quick note for fellow travellers: This isn’t exactly a dislike but it is worth mentioning—the bathroom layout includes a long vanity, which results in a relatively narrow entry to the shower. I managed... just, but if you have a broader build, it will feel snug or be a challenge.

- Very good location, easy access to all the shopping areas. - Big room and comfortable bed.

- There's no waiting space at the entrance of the lobby, it's difficult to load and unload luggages. - Toilet has unpleasant odour and no ventilation. - Housekeeping constantly missing out to top up amenities (eg. Coffee, water etc).

The hotel has a great location. It is almost close to everywhere, very easily accessible from the Airport, and also within walking distance to almost everything in the center. The hotel is beautifully renovated and we loved that the old furnishings or doors and windows were preserved and lovingly restored. Online check-in at the hotel is also an option that saves time for entry to the room. ​ Although the room was small, it was more than enough. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the room and the linens. Breakfast is very nice, and many varieties are available. It's also great to have coffee and water available 24/7. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was great-- good variety and economical. I highly recommend pre-booking it for your stay. The hotel was pretty much in the center of Barcelona so it was easy to get everywhere by foot or public transportation. While we are not big shoppers, it is in a great part of town for shopping. I also loved the public spaces of the hotel. It managed to feel historical and modern at the same time.

Dont expect a lot of extras in your room. We were able to get an iron and ironing board sent up to us very quickly but there were no in-room extras like lotion or shower caps. They did provide a bottle of water on the first day of our 4-day stay but that was it.

Very nice and helpful staff!!! Nice comfortable stylish room with street view. The courtyard is absolutely marvelous. Included breakfast was nice. Sitting room and library are pure class. The hotel architecture is gorgeous.

A bit noisy because of construction going on next door at the time. Street noises also a bit much at times, but the quiet courtyard made up for it. The modern chair in the room is not very comfortable. The bathtub has a strange "V" shape that make it a bit difficult to use imho.

lovely breakfast. super nice facilities especially the roof terrace and library - perfect for studying or anybody coming here on business. the best location, so accessible to everything and in close proximity to tourist attractions. staff were super lovely and rooms were very clean. 10/10 stay.

the room we stayed in was joined with another room, and the interconnecting doors were not locked when we arrived, even though the person in the other room was already asleep. the walls were a bit thin so we could hear our neighbors sometimes but overall not a big problems whatsoever.

Fantastic location 10 minutes from La Ramblas and Gaudis Casa Batllo. The staff are so incredibly helpful, friendly and professional. There is a business centre, lounge, free coffee and cookies and they don't mind looking after your luggage when you check out. Wonderful sunny terrace with outdoor loungers to sit in the shade. Beautifully decorated, huge sweeping staircase, light and airy feel. Room was quiet although right in the middle of the city you weren't kept awake. Beds were very comfortable and the shower very powerful. Stayed for business and would definitely return.

Would be nice to have some toiletries such as soap for the sink as I had to open the shower door to get to the soap fixed to the wall but really this was so minor. The room I had was very small with a view of the wall but I was hardly there and the other facilities outweighed these minor inconveniences. It was clean tidy well looked after and perfectly adequate for my needs. The rest of the hotel however is outstanding.

The people working at the receptionists are very nice. They welcome you like you are home. The location is amazing. We always walked back to take a break in the middle of the day and continue our day refreshed. There is an Aldi next door which is very convenient.

Everything was amazing except for one - one night, my friend asked for an anti-slippery mat for bathroom but it took them so long so we decided to take a shower without it. After both of us are done showering, the mat finally came, which is fine. But a male employee from the hotel just entered our room with his key while my friend and I were both in bed already. This is very inappropriate. And when this happened, we thought we should lock the door from inside. But we cannot not. There was also no door chain.

Location is the most I like about the property. Also, the friendly staffs and the very nice high calling lobby as well. The hotel offers 34 hours coffee and teas and water drinks at the breakfast area. It’s a plus. They also offer welcome drinks and snacks in the afternoon between 6-8pm. Very nice!

The sound insulation. We can hear when people walk and talk outside. Also we can hear the close door sound from our neighbors. We can hear the water noise when next door has shower. Also, because the AC is inside the room. When it’s working, it creates noise too. So, if you are not a good sleeper, you may want to pass this hotel

The location was perfect 💯. Near public transport like the Metro and city buses. It’s a short walk to the main shopping street in Barcelona, nearby is a 24 hr convenience store, Aldi supermarket, a very classy souvenir shop with reasonable prices—basically everything essential is at the hotel’s doorstep. 😂 Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Rooms were cleaned everyday. 👍

The water pressure from the shower needs a little improvement. Took us more time than usual to rinse-off because of weak pressure.
