Apologies on my review there was a typo that said rooms weren’t spotlessly clean’. I meant the total opposite. They were perfectly clean and a wonderful hotel to stay in. I’ve stayed twice and would highly recommend.

“My stay was absolutely perfect! The hotel’s atmosphere was both elegant and relaxing; the rooms were impeccably clean, and every detail was thoughtfully considered. The common areas had a modern design while still offering a warm and inviting vibe. On top of that, the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. Each team member greeted guests with a smile and quickly addressed any needs. The reception team, in particular, was very solution-oriented and made me feel special with their personalized approach. It was truly an unforgettable experience, and I can’t wait to visit again!”

Location was excellent, we could walk to all the major attractions or close to public transportation, metro lines and bus. The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant, always asking if we needed anything and giving us recommendations for our visit. The hotel is charming with character and the light breakfast was much appreciated to start our day.

The shower drain was a bit slow and the TV remote didn’t work, although it wasn’t something we really needed.The elevator is small, a bit snug even with our light luggage and 2 people.

Camille went far above all expectation to ensure our comfort and to give sight seeing advice! He was always available and helpful with luggage transport, good restaurant recommendations, taxi scheduling, metro directions. He made our visit run smoothly in spite of our infirmities. On our departure day he was off, but he had briefed his replacement on the help we would require for a taxi and assistance taking our luggage to the street. The people made it fantastic even though the thermostat did not work and our room ran too cool for us. The bed was very comfortable!

Excellent location within walking distance of most tourist sites with Metros nearby too; generous room and bathroom size; comfortable bed and nice, cotton bedlinen (big, fluffy bath towels); nice old apartment block; quiet and clean; roof terrace; quirky styling; staff (particularly Pablo(?)) who not only took my suitcase down to street level, but stayed with me until he had seen me into a taxi. Wow and what a great note to leave on!

Why were the bath towels stored in the bedroom when there was plenty of space for a shelf in the bathroom? I could have done with either another shelf or some drawers in the bedroom as the little cabinet was more decorative than functional. Bedside lamp was big, but lightweight and covered most of the bedside table - I knocked it over on a daily basis! It would have been nice to have a picture on the long wall opposite the bed. The towels were lovely but, thinking of the environment, I really didn't need a fresh one every day. I liked the individual styling of this hotel, but there were some cases of style over substance!

Lovely spacious room, bigger than expected, with a large bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and though it doesn't have a 24hr reception there was a phone number given in case anything was needed. While there was no breakfast at the hotel, there was a selection of pastries available each morning, along with tea and coffee, which was a lovely touch. Great shared terrace to sit out. Perfect location for exploring Barcelona.

Balcony doors very difficult to open. No mirror in the bedroom. Air conditioning was controlled outside of the room.

What’s not to like about this little gem in Barcelona. the location is great, the rooms spacious, and the staff exceptional. We were in room # 3 and will request that room when we return next year. We had absolutely everything we needed in this large room which was cleaned every day we requested. A shout out to Pablo who was most frequently the desk clerk, advice giver, directions for everything sharer, and all around good guy. There is a Metro station a block and 1/2 away, and at the same place you can get busses to the Plaza Espana area where the Olympics were held. All sites in Barcelona are easy to get to from this location. We are walkers so did a lot of walking. You can’t go wrong choosing the Violeta Botique.

There is nothing not to like here, so I’ll just go on with positives. I must mention, in addition to Pablo, the adorable and lovely lady who cleaned our room every day. There is an elevator here and the area is safe and secure day and night.

We stayed here for 5 nights - 2 adults and a child. From the moment we arrived we felt at ease and loved the decor. Pablo checked us in and he could not have been nicer or more helpful. Even before we arrived the staff were so accommodating in facilitating a quiet room looking out at the garden terrace. The location is so central yet quiet and we felt very safe in this area. It is 2 mins walk from Urquinaona L1 metro and 5 mins walk from Plaça Cataluyna with lots of travel options from there. Our room was very spacious with a separate seating area with fridge, kettle and coffee maker. The beds are very comfortable, big fluffy bath towels, good shower and bottles of water provided every day..Housekeeping was excellent and room spotlessly clean. Coffee, orange juice and pastries every morning in communal space are complimentary. We couldn't fault this accommodation it was perfect for our stay and location .was ideal.

Very nice and helpful receptionist. The room was spacious, there was also a little sofa, chairs and coffee table in the room, refrigerator too. There was no problem leaving the luggage before check-in and after check-out. Actually we arrived 2 hours before check-in and the room was already prepared). Water and coffee machine in the room. Complimentary coffee, tea, water and croissants in the morning. Nice terrace in the same floor. Elevator. Very quiet place.

The bed was way too soft but this is also a bit of a personal preference. Everything else was perfect
