The room was great. We had a junior suite and it was great to have 2 rooms. We were on the 7th floor and we couldn't hear any traffic or noise from outside. The bed was very comfortable and the shower is fantastic. Also the breakfast is great. The location is perfect. Right next to the metro so you can get around easily. Also watching around La Ramblas area was perfect.

The room has some cosmetic damages, like scratches to the floorboard.

The stay was very good overall. Everything was comfortable, and the hotel facilities were satisfying, including the rooftop area, even though the seating there was somewhat limited.

The front desk staff were professional, but their demeanor was so formal that it felt more like visiting a government office than staying at a hotel. I was also asked to present the original credit card used for the booking, which they took and copied behind the counter, out of my sight. Fortunately, the card I provided was a prepaid card, not a credit card. It had a zero balance, and I deactivated it immediately after entering the room, as I no longer needed it.

Stunning building, rooms cozy, super clean. Small window to open - only opens to walls around a small gap between rooms, but was nice to have. Has great shower & bath with soap, shampoo, cond etc hairdryer. Room as a safe, minibar / fridge with 1 complete Nespresso coffee each day (Nespresso machine in ur room) Plenty of room to hang items. Room is smaller size so with 3 bags we had zero floor space. But again room was so nice that didn’t matter as hardly in room Pool & view are simply Amazing. Staff were AAA , always available & very helpful with every query. Breakfast was a good selection, although eggs only scrambled soggy & cold , bacon cold . But still was worth paying for the inclusion. Fresh fruits & juices , delicious, Spanish omelette , cereal (2 options), sponge cake, bread/toast, croissants, pastries even small donuts. Coffee, tea & beautiful pot yoghurts & a variety of salad items. Location is perfect, right in middle of city, subway out the front (if u know how to use). Loads of restaurants & supermarkets at doorstep. Have to compliment the amazing shampoo / cond in the showers, was beautiful (soap was empty though) I like a bit of tv so was easy to connect to Netflix, chrome cast I couldn’t get working Wifi worked great throughout hotel & in pool area We also left our bags at reception & stayed in pool area after checkout until our taxi arrived to take us to airport (which hotel arranged for us). The staff had no issue with this. Was an absolutely stunning place to stay.

Lifts/ elevators . 1 wasn’t working for 2 days & other just never seemed to come so had to walk down the stairs . had to wait min 10 min to get back upstairs. Once fixed they worked fine with no delays, seems to be an ongoing issue as read about issue before I arrived. I thought would be resolved , but heck it’s an old building so have to expect issues. Rooms are not old though, they r beautiful . Would have liked ability to have eggs cooked to order like other places. Very minor thing, I was happy with the broad range of breakfast offered, especially the fresh fruit & juices.

The Place is Grand with amazing history. Staff were amazingly helpful, Buffet breakfast was royal and restaurant super clean and large. Price of equivalent hotel in the area was double of this hotel.. Highly recommend this Palace hotel.

This is a beautiful, classic hotel in a great location in Barcelona. It’s situated right beside La Passeig de Gràcia and La Rambla, so it’s only a short walk away from some lovely shops and tourist hot spots. There’s also a metro stop right beside the hotel that services L2 metro trains. It’s so convenient! The hotel was very inviting, immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. It had an old, traditional charm with a touch of modernism, and we really appreciated this. The twin room was clean and fairly spacious, with good amenities in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and clean. The shower in the bathroom was very good with a variety of settings. The pool and rooftop bar were lovely features of this hotel. It was nice to relax for an hour or two by the poolside. The breakfast was very nice each morning, consisting of a large spread of various breakfast foods, juices, coffees and teas. It was prepared very nicely! The staff were very friendly and helpful in the hotel, both at the front desk, in the breakfast room and at the rooftop bar by the pool.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. We had requested a kettle for our room but they were all in use when we arrived, so we did not receive one at all during our stay. But we found a workaround with the coffee machine in our room, so it wasn’t too big of an issue.

An amazing hotel I’ll start with the dear hotel employees that made our stay heavenly, so kind always up for a good advise and really gave us feeling like we know each other for long time. The rooms were always clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in the best location in the city between all the shopping stores you can imagine. Close to all main places to see and 5 min walk from the bus to airport. This is the only hotel I’m going back to in Barcelona

From the moment we arrived at El Avenida Palace, the experience was exceptional. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—a short walk to Plaça de Catalunya, countless restaurants, shops and iconic landmarks. What truly made our stay memorable though, was the incredible staff. Every team member we encountered was professional, attentive, and genuinely warm. A special mention goes to Sergi, Niko and Lucciano (at the bar) for their hospitality. Housekeeping was equally impressive—our room was spotless every day. The entire hotel exudes elegance and charm, with a blend of historic character and modern comfort. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated. Public areas, including the lobby and rooftop terrace, are immaculately maintained. And the view from the roof top pool and bar area are amazing. If you’re looking for a luxurious, centrally located hotel with top-tier service and cleanliness, El Avenida Palace should be at the top of your list. We will absolutely return.

The only thing I would change is possibly a bit more variety on the hot food at breakfast but that’s just me being really picky!

Although the Avenita Palace is a remarkably historical hotel, it remains one of the best locations in Barcelona and is managed very well. We were very pleased with our accommodations and the service was excellent.

The only issue seemed to be the air conditioning/ heating system was either not working or strangely under performing

The staff were wonderful! The hotel is beautiful.

The bed was uncomfortable. Too hard. We stayed in the old part of the hotel. We learned that the new part had very comfortable beds.
