I chose this hotel based on other reviews. It did not disappoint! The location is excellent, with lots of restaurants nearby, shopping and quick access to Las Ramblas. The breakfast buffet was amazing, and we took full advantage of it - lots of fresh fruit, pastries, bread for toasting, and local meats & cheeses just to name some of the items. The room was on the small side, but we had a patio to hang out on, with a table & chairs to sit at, and the bed was very comfortable (we didn't go on vacation to hang out in our room, so I didn't mind that it was a little cramped). I would definitely stay here again.

Location was excellent, very central and convenient. Staff were superb, always polite and very helpful. Breakfast was very good and all day buffet was amazing, an unexpected bonus and very welcome.

Rooms had been divided so that the en suite to room 122 was actually built into room 123. The box it formed made the room feel crowded, was a bit noisy and lacked personal privacy for the occupants of room 122. For the occupants of room 122 the toilet for staff and guests by main reception was formed from a box structure which protruded into room 122 and that at times was noisy. No outside space at all except for tiny balconies off of beautiful dining/sitting room. The room itself was stunning, but the balconies were used by smokers, which made the room smell of smoke and were not pleasant for non-smokers to use.

The hotel was located in the perfect area to walk around. At first we were given a very tiny room. not big enough to put our suitcases in. I asked to change rooms. The new one was perfect. very comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly . We really enjoyed Alex. he was very helpful to us. and took care of carrying our bags up the flights of stairs..

More TV shows in English. In the area where you ate the meals. People who smoked went on the balcony and smoked. They would leave the door open and all the smoke came inside the room. I felt like I was going to get sick . Our group of four people all felt the same. If you smoke then do it away from the building. I didn;t like having my clothes stink.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. Interior design and decoration is authentic to the era that the hotel was originally built and adds an opulent touch to the stay. A substantial buffet which is open 24 hours and includes beer and wine is a nice touch. Honour bar system in operation in the dining room for those wishing a gin or whiskey to finish the day. Room was large, spotless and well furnished. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful.

Reception is on the first floor and there are a (small) set of steps in the foyer you have to negotiate in order to access the lift.

The room was unique with an indoor balcony. The hotel is a little palace and it felt like it. The AC was amazing. The location is fantastic. lots of outdoor dining, nice shops, tapas bars, and close to places to get tour bus activities etc. A more upscale area which was quiet for a major city. The hotel had something we did not expect but LOVED...24H food options. All set up and ready for self service. Including Wine, beer, coffee machine with real coffe not instant type. The food was very good and was a little different each day. We arrived late our first night and this was such a pleasure! The staff was fun and helpful.

The sheets were not as nice as I expected. Some stairs to drag bags up until you reach the elevator, but I need to pack lighter and we only had to do this one time!

Has old world charm. In an excellent area. Outstanding staff. Was with a group of 6. They also had 24hr assorted buffet with beer and wine. See the pictures in the hotel website. Exactly that beautiful

That my stay was that short (2 nights)

The hotel was beautiful. It was originally built in 1863 but is very updated. It was decorated in a Baroque style with gold trim and painted cherubs on the ceiling. Our room was very quiet and elegant and had a sitting room. The bed was extremely comfortable and clean. It was a perfect location on Rambla Catalunya and very convenient to restaurants and shopping. It was nice that they featured a 24 hour buffet. It mainly featured snack type food such as turkey for sandwiches and plenty of choices for fresh fruit and other snack items. The breakfast choices included several egg choices and was enough to start the day. Also fountain sodas and fresh coffee were always available. The staff was friendly and helpful.

There was an elevator from 1st to 2nd floor but to enter the hotel you had to walk up about 8-10 steps (with a rail) The bathroom had an older style tub with hand held shower. It might be difficult for travelers with mobility issues.

The decor and setting of the main room, which was as the pictures, a veritable little palace without prétention as everything is self serve. The all day included access to food, drinks, beer and wine, hot breakfast 7:30 to 11:00, perfect for late sleepers like us. we walked to almost all the sites, very close access to public transportation. Wonderful feeling of being part of the action on The Rambla, although very quiet and charming inside, only 22 rooms.

The size of the room and total lack of natural light or view. Felt like sleeping in a dungeon. Could hear the cleaning ladies chatting in the corridor in the mornings, but it was around 9:00 am.

Great location, friendly staff, 24/7 buffet was a bonus and includes juices and soft drinks, especially welcome after a long day out in the heat. Fridge and cups in room. Air conditioning was comfortable. Room was clean and en-suite was spacious. TV had a range of local and international channels, plus apps such as YouTube.

The room itself was a bit small, we bought 2 rucksacks and 2 small (carry on size) suitcases and was quite tight to fit in. The beds were slightly small as well. More plug sockets would be a bonus.

Central location, with an added bonus of having a free buffet all day, which included hot & cold drinks v much appreciated after a long day sightseeing

On arriving early the reception staff accommodated us with an early checkin. Whilst the room was v small, it was adequate for our one night stop over.
