The hotel is very close to the Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT blue and brown lines, shopping centres, Da'an walking district and restaurants — super convenient to get around. The hotel design is very chic and staff were warm and very helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, and I appreciated the little touches like snacks, rental bikes, and umbrellas at the front door.

The bathroom design is questionable — the room entrance opens straight into a white-tiled bathroom, a pretty contemporary room design. Being white grout on narrow white tiles, a few corners looked worn and dirty. The toilet and shower stalls also share a heavy sliding door; only one of the facilities could be used at a time. It's not entirely what I expected from a 5-star hotel.

Great newer hotel in a fantastic location. The staff were super friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. They were always there to open the door, answer our questions, and help us in any way we needed. The hotel is quiet and comfortable with a great lobby. There is a happy hour every day with drinks and prepared snacks, pastries in the morning, an espresso machine, and on-tap soda water, all free of charge. The bed is great as well. The location is in a great part of the city. The MRT station is within a couple hundred feet as are tons of restaurants and shopping. The hotel is well-styled and appointed.

We had 2 rooms and the king room layout is somewhat interesting. There is effectively no privacy in the bathroom from the rest of the room regardless of sink/mirror, toilet, or shower. The twin room offers more bathroom privacy

Everything about this hotel was great: - the location was excellent, near several metro stops, and walking distance from several key shopping and dining areas, with excellent bus connectivity and nearby taxi ranks, which meant were 15-30 minutes away from almost all the other areas we wanted to visit in the city, and only a few stops away from Taipei Main station, where the HSR trains arrive and depart. - the staff were consistently excellent, and delightful, everything worked so smoothly from check in onwards, and they couldn't do enough to help, including helping us to work out whether we should travel based on the weather at one point - we had booked the lowest tariff rooms available, and they were great - spacious, clean, well laid out, with excellent housekeeping. USB sockets, and labelled light switches sound like small things, but were really useful, as were the little welcome gifts on arrival, the quality of the tea and coffee in room (Nespresso etc.) The communal areas are also great - there are regular snacks/drinks available to guests in the lobby at various times during the day, separate from the paid breakfast and bar. - it has a small gym, but it is open 24/7, which is great especially if you want to enjoy all the food on offer in Taipei! Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay in Taipei.

The air conditioning was incredibly powerful, and we never quite worked out how to turn it down a bit, and the gym was the smallest of all the main hotels we used on this holiday, but these are really minor points in an overall fantastic stay.

The inner sanctuary concept of the room was wonderful. it really was like returning to an serene sanctuary each day. the design elements of the room was wonderful and a wow factor when we first entered. the staff were friendly and helpful. Appreciated the free morning coffee, finger food and fruit; and drinks and snacks through the day.

we didn't know we were given a room on a pet friendly floor. We're surprised to see dogs moving with us on the floor and into the lift.

Wow I stay at a lot of hotels and this was probably one of the best hotel experiences! Staff were very helpful and they were able to fix me up with a last minute spa appointment. They had a great attention to detail and making sure guests happy. Rooms were amazing - good size, comfy beds, quiet and stylishly decorated with yoga mats, massage balls etc... for guests. The hotel was close to Daan district for good restaurants, cafes and shopping and is very well connected to the Taipei metro for getting around. Don't forget the really good free Happy Hours each evening with drinks and some very good fusion bites as well as the coffee and pastries offered at breakfast for guests. A big thanks to all the staff for an unforgettable stay!

The staff are very good, super attentive and friendly. The hotel has a cool design and feels intimate and not too large or sterile. They have evenign happy hours which are nice and a lot of the rooms have balconies.

The design of the rooms seems a bit 'experimental', like they were done as an architecture thesis project. A big mirrored door slides between the toilet and the shower and can close off one space at a time (but not both). The door is pretty heavy and I managed to slam it on my finger while closing it on the toilet side (there's no interior handle). It felt kind of cumbersome and, had I been travelling with someone else, it could have been a bit awkward. Also, the screen doors to the balcony do not make a total seal and leave a small gap that allows insects in. It was winter so no big deal, but would have been very annoying in summer.

I thought the hotel was one of the biggest highlights of our trip to Taiwan. The room was incredibly spacious and it felt very cosy and classy at the same time. I'm very particular about hotels not being crowded and I was really happy with how there were barely any people and if there were it wasn't noisy or messy. The staff was really friendly and helpful to us as well! I really enjoyed their social hours at the lobby, its an interesting way to make your guests interact organically. Price was, I think its very reasonable and worth every $

I was a little bit concerned with how a hotel can function with only 2 elevators but I was surprised with how it was a non issue for the entire trip. I think they should highlight all the elite coffee and tea shops in Da'An district in the future because there's so many of them.

The hotel staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and consistently provided excellent service. The hotel was also generous with its provision of mineral water, which is often lacking in other hotels. The interior design was unique, room is spacious and the room included a table, small settee, and chair, providing ample seating for two people. The hotel was generally generous with toiletries and power points around the room. Additionally, free breakfast, coffee, and snacks were available in the lobby in the mornings and afternoons. While the food was simple, it was a thoughtful and appreciated touch.

There seemed to be an issue with the drainage in our bathroom, which made a loud sound every time we used the shower.

Beautifully designed property in quiet Daan district just 2 blocks to MRT. Service was exceptional: Matthew, Charlie, Hunter, Rohit, Debbie - amongst others. We enjoyed morning tea and coffee in the living room before starting out on our day; returned to evening “social” hour again in the living room with complimentary wine and apples. Staff so attentive and willing to help ! One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at !

Nothing - price is probably higher than usual hotel stays but overall great value considering the evening “happy hour”

The staff at reception and concierge are very attentive and are well trained. My second time at the hotel they’re so o me back. The experience overall is a very luxury boutique. Surprised to find out it’s part of chain hotel group. .

Restaurant experience at The Tavern was not matching up to front of house staff. The experience is slow and staff are forgetful. I asked for the menu I waited so long and the staff returned eventually and told me the restaurant is hosting a private party. Waste of my time Another issue is the pieces fluctuate greatly almost 40% difference between ny two stays.
