The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Always greeted us before leaving and when we return. Also upgraded one of our rooms as we wanted to be on the same floor which we appreciated. Honestly they made our stay better. Very comfy rooms, though some of the furniture could be updated (wear and tear). The location was in quiet neighbourhood, about 10mins walk to the metro. Will def stay here again if I visit Taipei.

One of the staff who works at the breakfast area was unfriendly which we find surprising considering all the staff was so friendly. Never greeted back when we say hi or thank you (which we did on separate occasions). But we did notice they were friendlier with Caucasians. The other staff member at the breakfast station was great though.

Really loved our stay here. The staff made us feel so much at home, really nice and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious and the beds are very comfy. The free flowing drinks is great too, you can get coffee and tea any time of the day at bar. The hotel is located at the Da’an District which is a nice place to be, near a couple of malls, nice restaurants and train stations. Such an underrated hotel!

It’s quite a walk going to and from the stations but I guess I am maybe just not used to walking a ton. Other than that, nothing else!!!

It was the staff undoubtedly who made us feel welcome and comfortable. Rooms are new and spotless - loved the gizmos in the bathroom and the Nespresso machines and night tea in the room. The location in Da’an was good. Breakfast was decent and met our needs. Overall, happy to return here.

1) Wish they would give us a choice of reusing towels - they were changed daily and need not be. 2) Wish they provide body lotion as well! Neither are deal breakers, of course.

- Overall the room felt new - The bed and pillows were comfy and the bed linen was high quality. However, the bed was short (I'm 173cm and it was already noticeable for me), keep that in mind. - Nice expensive smelling toiletries - There were complimentary water (4x0.5 bottles every day!), tea, coffee. There was a kettle and a coffee machine as well. - There was a mini fridge - Nice leather slippers provided in the room - The staff offered me umbrella when it was raining, it was a nice touch! - The location is okay. There is a metro station ~5 min away and several bus stops. Think 30 min to get to sightseeing places (either close ones by foot or further ones by transportation). - Breakfast was good, not a lot of choice, but the menu was partially changing every day. - Good cleaning every day - There's a convenient bus shuttle to the airport that stops nearby (literally 3 min walking distance)

- The sink was in the main room as opposed to the bathroom, which I found weird, but it didn't really affect anything. - There's a bit of black mould starting in some places of the bathroom, which is understandable, but I would advise the hotel to address this. - The bathroom door didn't fit in the doorway properly - You had to wait for a long time (literally a couple of minutes) for hot water to start running, this was inconvenient. - Breakfast time is from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. That was too early for me. - It was too cold in the breakfast area, I had to wear a jacket, but I guess that depends on the person.

All the staff at Chez Nous are warm, friendly and very helpful, they make you feel at home indeed, like the name of the hotel. The room is a little small but it has a nice balcony and though small it has everything, it is very clean and everything feels quite new. There is a bar in the basement and the cocktails are amazing and bartenders are very friendly - don't miss this if you stay there. Very happy with everything except that the immediate neighbourhood doesn't really have any nice F&B or shops, but it's ok I just take Uber everywhere.

The neighbourhood is a bit boring.

I have to say I think we got lucky with this hotel. It felt like we had everything we needed from transport to shops, and it just felt like it was central enough to all attractions. One thing I have to say is that I love the welcome they give you every time you go out and come back in. The breakfast was amazing, I read in some comments that people were disappointed that they didn't have continental breakfast. I mean, what do you expect and what they did serve, I loved everything, especially the scallion pancake and the dumpling, I believe downright delicious. if ever I do come back to Taiwan, I do believe that is where I shall stay. Huge thanks to all the amazing staff, as I am writing this now I also remember how I forget a charger and one of the staff came all the way to the shuttle bus stop to come give it to me which I really appreciate. Thank you 😊

Close to the Da'an metro stop on a quiet side street, Chez Nous is a good option if you're looking for an easy to get around hotel for central Taipei. The breakfast buffet wasn't the biggest, but not bad. The staff was friendly. The rooms very moderately spacious. The A/C was good and strong. There was free coffee and icecream. You can get your laundry done for TWD 200.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable, with a bit rough linens. It's fine to sleep on and it was clean, but a mattress topper could really improve the setup.

Excellent experience in this lovely boutique hotel! The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful, check in was smooth, seamless and fast. 24hs coffee and snack bar was available throughout the stay. Rooms were spacious and nice, well decorated, well lit and heated, even the toilet has a dedicated room heater, which in the Taipei winter was much appreciated. We got a room with a nice view and bathtub!! We needed to store our luggage and that process was even enjoyable, pick up of our belongings was swift and uneventful. Overall they really did a good job.

If you are reading this review, go ahead and book this hotel with confidence! We loved the hotel staff the most. They were extremely polite, helpful, and all easy to talk to. By the end of our trip, we felt like we were talking to family. Always greeted with a smile, and the main door was always opened for us if there was a person at the front desk that noticed you approaching. The staff paid close attention to the weather and offered us umbrellas when we went out if it was expected to rain. The rooms were all filled with wonderful high-end amenities such as a Nespresso machine, hot water boiler, air purifier, safe, minifridge, toto bidet, infant bathtub and shampoo (we requested this beforehand). The rooms were clean and the décor was tasteful/modern and made us feel at home. Our first room had a wonderful view of a school track and field and our second room had a beautiful city view of the brown MRT line. We traveled with two young children so it was a relief to have so many wonderful breakfast choices (both western and eastern cuisines were available). The dining area featured an open kitchen and often times you could even request a freshly cooked fried egg. You can always expect fresh toast, rice porridge, bacon and eggs, fresh fruit, a wide selection of beverages as a default. On top of these standard options, there was probably around 4 other dishes that were rotated daily. A coffee machine and water tap was conveniently placed near the entrance of the hotel for hotel patrons to easily access at any time of the day. They also offered many different snack options as a nice treat throughout the day.

Basically nothing. Some of the hard wood flooring and bathroom hardware had some normal wear and tear which are to be expected over time. The 2nd floor bathroom had two doorways, one of which didn't close completely flush, but its a very minor issue.

Chez Nous is perfectly situated in Da An, which is a lovely area of Taipei with many good restaurants and cafes. The central location made it easy to travel to the attractions such as Taipei 101, Ximending, Da An forest park, night markets etc. The rooms are quiet, clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Bedding is of high quality and wonderfully comfortable. Breakfast menu changes daily and is clearly well thought out as the dishes are not only tasty but also nutritionally balanced. There’s also a coffee and tea corner with take away cups available for grab and go drinks before heading out for the day. And above all, the team at Chez Nous are warm, kind and helpful with personalised recommendations to make our trip a truly memorable one. I would love to stay at Chez Nous again!
