Booked room with Park view and was very happy with it. Layout allowed one to use bathtub and still see out the windows. Elevators and hotel layout very unique and enjoyable, large paintings (3 floors high) visible from elevators. Located 30 second walk from Daan Park MTR station.

There was some noise from outside the room in the middle of the night once or twice. Room had open window with only louvered shutters between bed space and toilet / bath area. Didn't bother us, but some may find it awkward. Carpeted floors not my favorite, but seemed clean enough. Nearest MTR station exit did not have escalator or elevator, so luggage needed to be carried up long stairs. If a problem, use a different exit and walk a minute or two longer.

I had a great stay at Hotel Rido. This is a lovely boutique hotel overlooking Daan park. I had a fantastic view over the park, it was lovely. Room was clean, plenty of towels and pillows, I was grateful to be able to open the window for fresh air. Wifi worked well, as did fridge and air con. Staff were friendly and check in and out were a breeze. Would stay again.

This place was great, nothing I didn't like. Adding some more hooks/rails in the bathroom to hang towels etc would be handy. Installing fly screens on windows would also be good. But these are minor suggestions, I was very satisfied with my stay!

Had a nice jacuzzi tub with 4 rod hanging rods, a low sit down wall shower , plenty of outlets under the headboard. Bed stiffness was just right-medium firm. Air on blew over the TV and not the bed or my head. Curtains are sufficiently blackout. Staff was nice. Held our luggage after checkout. Maid service left us snacks. That was nice because tea and snacks are offered to enjoy in their lounge only but only in mid afternoon when most people are out.

The aircon was very noisy but I got use to it, and the down bedding comforter was too heavy— made me sweat all night. This was May and it felt like a winter comforter. Though it is close to the MRT station, you have to exit out over 3 flights of stairs; no lift or escalator at Daan Park.

Based on the pictures and price, I thought the hotel would old and run down. However I was pleasantly surprised by quality and newness of the classic decor. The view was as nice as the pictures suggest and the room was very comfortable. Sometimes you swing and miss when you try new hotels, but this was a hit. Easily surpassed my expectations and no real complaints. I would stay here again next time I’m in Taipei

Really hard to think of anything. I guess if you forced me, I’d prefer a better coffee option in the room than the instant packets they provide.

Perfect location, just the opposite of Da'an Park. The hotel is 1-min walk to Da'an Park Station, Red line MRT (exit 1) and 3- min walk to exit 6 which has an elevator for those who have luggages. 20-min to Taipei Main Station by MRT. There is also a snack bar on the B1 floor which you can have snacks and drinks. 7-11 and PX mart are also nearby, 5-min walk. The room is spacious. Water pressure in both shower box and bath are very strong which I love it.

We were pleased that we had booked a room with a view of Daan Park, as we ended up spending more time there due to rainy weather. It was nice to have a chaise lounge by the window to relax and enjoy the view from.The room was spacious enough, clean and quiet. The bathroom had a separate shower and spa bath. The location is great, with a metro station right there, easy walk to Yong Kang eat street, and of course Daan Park.

The staff on duty over the weekend were not friendly or helpful. When we asked for directions to places we wanted to visit they just scoffed and said "it's very far" and "use Google". The TV is small and old and the picture quality was poor.

Lovely bathroom in a tasteful black-and-white style. I loved the concept of having an open space between the bathroom and the bedroom (a wooden window that you can close for privacy). This allowed one to sit in the bathtub and either enjoy the view or chat with their partner. The bathroom also had a large, comfortable shower. I would book the room again.

The windows are supposed to be soundproof, but on the 9th floor, you could still hear the traffic from the street as if the vehicles were driving right outside the window. Naturally, it is much louder when the window is open, as Taipei is generally a very noisy city.

The room was beautiful -- old fashioned styling, but either recent or very well kept furnishings. And clean: I had to clean up a drop of milk my son spilled, and when I wiped it up with a wet wipe, the wet wipe came away from the carpet still white -- a first for a hotel room! We paid a little extra to get a room overlooking the park, which was well worth it for our family; gave us a beautiful view while our kid was napping. And he loved the bathtub, too. The staff were accommodating to everything we needed, including a late check out (300 per hour) that allowed us to rest before our flight. Amazing stay, and looking forward to returning on our next trip to Taipei.

We had no comlaints. Not one. The only thing I can think would be challenging would be wheelchair access, which I think would be round the back, but we had no issue with a stroller.

Loved the location right opposite Daan Park and next to Daan Park MRT on the red line - exit 1 is literally next door with stairs but if you need the lift its exit 6 about 50m down the road. The views are amazing in the morning and the feeling of space once you step out of the hotel... something you dont get with a lot of taipei hotels being so crowded. The hotel itself is smallish .. only like a shop front but taxis never had problems finding it. The front desk is 24 hours and the staff are always helpful. The rooms were a decent size, space taken up by a full functioning hot tub with jets, never had one even in 5 star hotel stays. At first I didnt think I would need a tub but it was great after a full day of touring. Inside the hotel it was quiet and you could sleep peacefully at night. The rooms and bathroom were cleaned daily and were spotless. Nearby are lots of eateries ( Yong Kang Street ) and bakeries and convenience stores like 7-eleven and family mart. There is a single washer and dryer available for free in the basement so that was great. They had free snacks daily and even delivered to the room when we were not in. In all a fabulous stay for a budget price. I wouldnt hesitate to stay again.

I didnt care for the renaissance style decor myself ( more of a scandi minimalist type lol) but then that is personal taste and a minor quibble. There might be some scuffs indicating ageing but the place itself is very clean.

The location is really great. They gave us a room on the top floor (12th floor) and we had a wonderful view of the Daan park. Close to the metro station and it's easy to get to places like the Tower 101 and Chiang Kai-shek Monument. The area is great, relatively quiet and upscale. It's definitely nicer than areas like Ximen. The staff was very helpful and all went well. Can definitely recommend it.

The Wi-Fi was very slow. I don't think it's 24 square meters. It's less.
