Located just above Dong Men MRT station. There’s a 7-11 a few steps away and loved the morning local Dong Men market just at the left of the hotel entrance. The area is clean and safe for female travellers. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Bathroom is huge for our 3-person room. Room size is okay, after opening 3 luggage on the floor we basically can only sit on our beds. Room is generally clean.

Guests are instructed to dispose used toilet papers in a bin and not the toilet due to the plumbing limitation in Taiwan. Even though staff cleans the bin everyday but it still feels uncomfortable because it is unhygenic and high potential spread of bacteria.

The hotel is located in an area that allows easy walking access to tourist attractions. The metro station is practically next to the hotel. Breakfast is served buffet-style with oriental dishes and limited variety, but very tasty. The staff is very friendly, especially at the restaurant: Kevin, Claire, Winnie, and Vicky always tried to help us with everything. The rooms are clean, modern, and the internet worked well.

There is little to say about what we did not like. It is a very good hotel option. The elevator can be a bit slow, but it works well. The rooms are a bit small.

The location was excellent - breakfast is very good. I like the convenience getting around by MRT and it's highly accessible going to famous landmarks and museums. Ding Tai Feng, one of the most reputable steam soup dumplings (xiao long bao) and great variety of foods restaurants is only 5 minutes walk from Chaiin Hotel. There are lots of bakeries and local eateries nearby... The front desk receptionists are excellent and most helpful - Kai was great in helping me with traveling and local getting around questions. High marks to Kai!! Highly recommended for first time visitors to stay at Chaiin. Very easy to go from the TaoYuan International Airport to Chaiin Hotel, 45 minutes by Airport Rapid Train with a transfer to local MRT.

The room is smaller but understood spaces are tighter in major cities, the room is spotlessly clean! My 10-day stay was excellent except for one night with a boisterous neighbour at wee hours, the intervention was quick after I called the front desk. Maybe Chaiin could consider some improvement with sound insulation in the near future? Other than that, I really liked this Chaiin by Dongmen Station.

Location is excellent, next to the MRT Dongmen stop which has an elevator. Yong Kang Street with lots of food options is just across the street and Dongmen fresh market is just behind the hotel. Didn't try their breakfast buffet which had a variety of Eastern and Western dishes for 285 NTD per person. I paid for the executive twin room and was quite happy to see racks for hanging clothes (and not just pegs on a wall). It had a writing desk and a place to put a medium sized suitcase. The hotel even offered a set of coin-operated washer and dryer on the lobby floor.

Super convenient location. Staff were friendly, helpful and responsive to questions. Room is quiet and met most of our needs. Close to Yong Kong street with many food and shopping options. The Taipei Metro is just around the corner (street level, literally next to the hotel) which made traveling to other part of Taipei quick and easy.

Lack of closet or storage space. We stayed for 6 nights and was difficult to grab change of clothing out of suitcases. There was only one elevator and the wait time was a bit long on most days.

The hotel is conveniently located, just a 10-second walk from Dongmen MRT exit 8. It is close to Yong Kang street, there there are plenty of good food options and cute shops. Dongmen is a great location as it is easy to get to other typical places of interest in Taipei. The hotel is clean, cozy and comfortable, I felt at home! Staff are friendly and helpful. You can also do laundry at an affordable rate, which was helpful since I travelled in the summer.

- the eco-friendly aspect shows the hotel cares for the environment, I do not mind having fewer unnecessary disposable amenities but at least provide an option where we can enquire the reception for any required disposable amenities -The location is extremely convenient, there are a lot of awesome food stores around and a traditional market behind the hotel in the morning

- the power plugs are too close to the light switches (those light switches which are close to power plugs) , as a tourist, my universal plug might be too bulky and it will affect the light switch to on and off the lights - There isn't much space to put my luggage or a wardrobe to hang my clothes, although the room is quite decent in size. I'm unsure if it is due to the difference in room design. my first experience with chaiin , there was some space for me to hang my clothes and rest my luggage for packing

Location was good. Near to train station and close to a lot of food. Guang Hua digital mall is also within "walking" distance if you consider 20 to 30 mins ok to walk. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They also have this service to buy popular snacks on your behalf. Good for people that dont have time to shop for gifts.

Room was small. Despite us already booking the biggest room. There was barely enough space on the floor to open up our luggage. There is also only 2 sets of washer dryers at the lobby floor. Might not be able to get your clothes was if there was more than 2 person washing.

It was a convenient location. Washer and dryer were great. Breakfast was included with our long stay. I thoroughly enjoyed their breakfasts. They had a great variety of food. The staff were especially friendly. Winnie, Kevin, Vicky and Claire were so kind and always had smiles on their faces. I appreciate the hotel’s efforts to be more green. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed for 3 weeks and probably asked for our room to get cleaned 4 or 5 times. Towards the end it would have been nice if the toilet bowl got cleaned since it was getting the toilet bowl water ring stain.

This is my second time staying at Chaiin. What I like about the hotel is that the atmosphere is nice, and the surrounding Dongmen area is just a pleasant place to be in. The staff are so friendly and the shower is pretty nice too. The bed is a little hard, but I had no problem getting quality rest. Since the hotel's entrance is located on a side alley, most of the rooms, including mine, are facing the alley, so there is limited traffic noise, which is great.

I think my biggest thing with this hotel is that the walls are not very soundproof, so if you have neighbors who are loud, you'll hear them talking and laughing. But after quiet hours, I'm sure you can call the hotel about that. Luckily, they quieted down after 11PM. There's also only one elevator, so sometimes the waiting time is a bit long. There were no toothbrushes provided so it was a bit inconvenient, and when they clean your room they do not change the sheets, but other than that I think it was a great stay.
