An old 4-star property. Huge room (superior twin suite). Good rain shower. Comfortable bed and comforter. AC worked well and kept a stable temperature without too much humidity (not a given in Taiwan). Delicious Chinese breakfast, with different dishes each day. Great location -- less-than-5-minute walk to Dongmen Market yet in a quiet section of Jinshen South Road. Staff was professional and helpful. A very good value. Won't hesitate to stay here again and will recommend to friends and family.

It's an older property that has only been updated marginally. Our room was on the 6th floor, but had a not-so-pleasant back-alley view and an odd-looking fire-escape device near the window (see photo). The carpet was quite worn (we bring our own slippers on travel nowadays so this was not a problem for us). The breakfast fits our taste, but may not appeal to those looking for a full western menu.

This hotel is very well situated. The red metro line nearby connects the place with the Main Station and several main attractions of Taipei and it is not difficult to reach others, too. Close to the hotel there is a famous Dongmen Market. Liberty Square with Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial is just one metro or bus stop away and it is a walking distance. Small shops and eateries make easy to obtain some food. Hotel offers breakfast, too.

My room was spacious and comfortable, only rather dark. I had to turn on lights during the daytime.

The breakfast is not too elaborate but it has everything you need. I don't usually have a big breakfast but coffee and tea are provided, some fruit options, cereal, orange juice, eggs and then some asian options. It was more than sufficient for my needs. The room was fabulous. They upgraded me also. It was quiet, and dark, two things which I really like. You should familiarise yourself with the dashboard of buttons so that you can learn how to turn off all the lights. You can see this listed in the elevator. My room was very clean and actually, it is broken up into 3 rooms. The bathroom, a small sitting room, and the bedroom. 2 televisions. There is also a writing desk in the living room. There is an iron and ironing board provided in the room and a safe. The bathroom has a bath in it and it was very relaxing to take a bath. The toilet is Japanese style. The plug sockets seem to accommodate all types of plugs. I believe even European plugs could work in it. Along with that they have USB sockets to charge your devices. I slept really well in the room. The location is quite nice, as you can get anywhere quickly using the Dongmen line. There is also another line lower down. I would recommend getting an Easy Card, I even managed to get a bus to Jiufen Old Street and stayed there afterwards. The Easy Card works on the metro, on trains and buses. I also got a Taiwan sim, which was cheap. There is a Michelin star restaurant not far from the hotel called Mountain and Sea I believe. It was quite nice. However, there was an amazing fresh seafood restaurant on the right hand side of Daan Park. It's amazing. It's about a 15 minute walk. The reception staff in this hotel are wonderful.

We stayed at Royal Bits Hotel for 7 nights and my sisters stayed for 2 nights. Location was perfect, 3 minutes walk to metro subway and traditional morning market. Lots of banks and restaurants nearby. The rooms( superior twin room and deluxe twin room ) we stayed were so spacious, clean and quiet. Bathroom at the superior twin room was very spacious, two twin beds in the bedroom with a big TV, there is sofa, coffee table, working desk and a big TV too in the living room. Staff were very polite, kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Hot dishes were changed daily so you don't get the same food and get bored every day for long stay. Over all, highly recommended. We were very satisfied with the hotel stay and will come back for sure when we visit Taipei again.

Breakfast was a delight and big surprise everyday as the dishes were rotated everyday, so it wasn't boring. Housekeeping was prompt, pillows were comfortable enough. Location was great

Disappointed they did not give us the room where the bathroom and beds were at two separate ends which helped a lot on our first part of the stay. We checked out to live in another hotel and when we came back, we were given a room where the bathroom was facing the beds, which is a source of distraction for people trying to sleep while others still awake were moving in and out of the bathroom. Interior of room is very old, sofa looks like it belongs to my great grandmothers.

They upgraded our room to a suite. Both the bedroom and living room were large and attractive. The bathroom had a separate shower and bathtub. The breakfast was good. About 70% of the food was Asian and 30% Western style breakfast foods. In many hotels, I spend a lot of time waiting for elevators. This hotel only had one elevator, but it was consistently and surprisingly fast. It took 8 to 10 minute to walk to the Dongmen metro station. The Chiang Kai Shek memorial was about a 12 minute walk from the hotel.

There were not enough electrical outlets in the room. There were two sets of lights that we could only turn off by removing the card by the entrance that turned off all electricity in the apartment. There was a problem with a tour that we booked with them. They only informed us late the night before. (In spite of that, the tour was very good.)

The room was bigger than I expected. Myself and two friends shared a triple room. It had two beds in the bedroom and one in the lounge area which was more than I expected. The bathroom was big with separate bath and shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful The hotel is situated in a quiet area and near a metro station.

Being from the UK I found the breakfast not to my taste but was ok with cereal and toast. Nice coffee. I had a problem with trying to switch off the lights. There is a box on the bedside cabinet but one of the staff had to come and explain how it worked. It should be made clear on check in how it works as myself from the UK and my friends from the USA had never seen anything like this before

The room was very clean with comfortable mattress and pillows, the washroom was big enough to move around with shower and bath inside. it's five minutes walk to the subway station which can bring you to most tourist spots in the city. I was received a email promptly while I was in the airport that my bracelet was left behind, they couldn't mail it to me internationally but did arrange pick up or delivery inside the island, my friend received the package while I was still on my way back home, a lot of thanks for their kindness and service. Hope I can visit there again in the soonest future!

The shower was a bit leaking at the lower corner of the door and I called they did response very fast.

A very clean, quite and spacious room, with a divider separating the bedroom and the working area. As I needed a good working area, this was important to me. The breakfast is excellent and there is paid washer & dryer, practically for extended travels. Excellent location with eatery choice and public transportation.

A minor disappointment, the window is facing a very narrow lane, you don't see much from there.

Staff were very wonderful and responsive, good breakfast, housekeeping staff were superb, room was good size, water pressure in the shower was great, nice selection of English stations on TV. The bed was very comfortable.

Needed to change rooms two times. 1st because of odor, 2nd because the room was too cold and could not adjust the thermostat. The staff worked with us and helped us change to a 3rd room. Kudos to staff and management for helping us with these changes. Since we were staying for 17 days, we needed a comfortable room which room #3 was.
