ARK Hotel was an excellent find. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Walking distance to so many attractions - Da'an Park, Yongkang St for shopping and restaurants, and super convenient for transport, a few minutes from Dongmen station, and close to the Brown MRT line. The bedroom (with a window) was pretty spacious, great bathroom, plenty of power points (some with built-in international adapters), fridge, mini-safe. On the top floor is a washing machine (laundry powder provided) and a tumble drier. There's also a help-yourself coffee machine in the foyer, as well as an assortment of snacks.

The staff is very friendly, there is always water available and the room cleaning was always impeccable! The location is unbeatable, as the metro station that services the hotel is extremely close and very central to the city. The surrounding area also has all the amenities any traveller can ask for (convenience stores, Daan Park, Din Tai Fung...).

As my room had a window there was some noise in the early morning hours (even though the window's soudproofing is excellent). That might disturb a light sleeper, but most of the days I didn't have any issues. The mattress was too soft for me and that did disturb my back a bit, however it is due to personal preference and custom. If I liked a soft mattress it would be the perfect bed to sleep in. The A/C controls could use a supplementary multilingual instruction, but fortunately my girlfirend is Taiwanese and managed to adjust it for us.

Location is super convenient. Walking distance to two MRT lines and multiple bus services. Next to one of the biggest parks in Taipei. Next to various shops restaurants and also a traditional market. Staff is very helpful in giving tips and they're 24 hours at front desk. They can also order Taiwanese souvenirs and delivered to the hotel. The room and environment is overall comfortable and clean. It's not massive but enough space for two adults. There's also a washer and dryer which was super helpful. You can also leave your luggage there if you arrive earlier. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend to anyone.

Carpet and shower could have been clearer. The cleaning cart was many times parked so it was an obstacle to entering the room.

It was very well localized. The staff was nice.

It was pretty small but rather typical for property in highly developed Asian countries.

Amazing location next to Yongkang St, Da’an District!

Property is in average+ condition. Could use a renovation pretty soon.

Close to Ding Tai Feng. There are two of them nearby. One down to the street in about 100 m. The other one across the street.

They only have air-conditioning in their rooms, no heating. I had to get a space heater from the front desk for heating.

Comfy and staffs are very nice and helpful. Location is very good. Walk to Yongkang street area within 1-2 mins . Easy to any where in Taipei city. You can enjoy yummy local food in Dongmen traditional market. Suit for solo travelers. 👍

I love the friendliness of the staff. I was a solo traveller. I like it that i can do early check in with a small fee. It is clean and housekeeping is great. Next door had people smoking and my room had smoke smell. I feedback to the recept and they immediately sent a purifier and cleanse the air.
