Everything was nice

Fabulous. Exceptional cleanliness, decor, service, and on a high floor you have wonderful views of the city. The location was very convenient if you plan to visit lots of different neighborhoods in Taipei. The public bath felt like a high-end spa, and the attractive, bright study lounge was a lifesaver when I had work to do. I made the mistake of leaving my eyeglasses in my room, and staff promptly and efficiently arranged to send them back to me in the US.

The restaurant on the first floor (not run by the hotel) was just average.

Great location very close to public transportation. Room had a nice view and comfortable overall.

The breakfast room was rather small and crowded, a bit like a canteen.

Our king room on L6 faced the building works directly next door - works started at 8am and this was quite noisy. Something to consider for those considering staying (not sure when these will be finished)!

Location, location, location!! The hotel is right next to Zhongxiao Xinsheng station, and it's very convenient to move about around Taipei City. We were initially given a room at the end of corridor which is next to construction site next door. Hence, we have requested for a change of room and it was very quiet. The sound proofing of the hotel is very good. We could hardly hear any bustling traffic at the lift lobby when the hotel main door is closed. The onsen is typical setup of Mitsui Garden hotels, and very Japan standard, which we liked.

There were some strands of hairs on the toilet floor when we moved into the changed room. Hence, housekeeping needs to pay more attention to these little areas.

Excellent location - you are basically right in the center of Taipei, there is a subway stop connected to 2 lines right outside your front door, and pretty close to lots of buses as well. If that isn't enough, you get access to free parking. Some might argue that there's "nothing nearby", but I liked that: you are a very short trip from major attractions or touristy areas but where you are staying feels more authentic and isn't swarmed with tourists. You are still very close to some nice restaurants, cafes and breakfast spots. Didn't end up making it to the public bath, but the deep one provided in the Deluxe rooms was excellent. The customer service was very excellent and friendly and felt in line with what you would expect at a 4-star in Japan. Room was quiet (we heard nobody on our floor) and they provide you with great curtains blocking out the sun in the morning. Beds were extremely comfortable. While the unorthodox bathroom layout does make you pause a bit if you aren't a couple or family sharing the room, it's not as bad as some have made it out to be - there still is a door to both the shower and toilet areas.

While I appreciated the free access to bottled water, I wish they offered some kind of refillable filtered water station in the lounge or something, so I could just refill those bottles instead of always taking new ones and creating more plastic pollution.

Reception team is incredible. They are professional, polite, friendly with very good and elegant manner. They did their best to make us a happy stay. The room is nicer when I was there in person. I had a good sleep and rest. Lobby on the second floor is good for gathering. Breakfast is also my favorite. Not too many choices but well thought and executed. Will definitely stay here again with my future trip in Taipei.

I requested and expected higher floor unfortunately my trip was during golden week. So I got 11th floor but the traffic noice is not too bad. Still be able to sleep all through the night. Shower room is a little bit awkward for me to stay with my brother. We have to find the way to manage the sequence. However, we can adapt and adjust to it anyway.

Love the onsen. Very relaxing. Also the hotel is modern and clean.

I dint like the see through Bath room. The shower area glass should be frosted over. Location is good as this is close to the mrt but it is also not totally convenient as the walk to the shopping area takes about 15 to 20 mins.

Our stay at this hotel in Taipei was nothing short of excellent. The location is absolutely perfect—conveniently situated right next to Zhongxiao Xinsheng MRT station, which connects both the blue and orange MRT lines. This made it incredibly easy to get around the city, whether we were heading to popular shopping districts, night markets, or cultural spots. There were also plenty of dining options just steps away, from local eateries to trendy cafés, making it a great base for food lovers. The area felt vibrant yet safe, and we enjoyed exploring the surroundings after a day of sightseeing. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. We especially loved the public bath area, which felt like a peaceful retreat and added a unique, relaxing element to our stay. The rooms were sleek and comfortable, with all the modern amenities we needed. Overall, it was a great experience—convenient, comfortable, and with a touch of luxury. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Taipei.

Only thing was that it might a little less family friendly, perfectly understandable since this is more of a business hotel. We did get a call from the reception to lower down our volume about 10pm at night - just one thing to note if you do happen to have young kids.

We stayed in the corner room with amazing views over the city and the mountains. The room was on a smaller side but it had everything we needed and was spotless clean. No noises audible from street outside or from next door neighbours, only the air conditioning was humming. We didn’t have breakfast, but had very good quality tea and coffee in the room. The staff was very friendly and quick to help with all our requests. The location is ideal for exploring the city, the metro station just next to the hotel and we walked a lot as well. Very close to the main station (both MRT and HSR). Definitely recommended.

We don’t have any complaints, it was a perfect stay. A swimming pool instead of the public bath would have been the cherry on top. But that’s a personal preference.
